My grandfather passed away this evening at the age of 100. He...
My grandfather passed away this evening at the age of 100. He was
an incredible man, and the kindest person you could ever hope to meet.
He worked hard his entire life and raised a wonderful family that I am
honored to belong to. Some of my happiest memories are of visiting him
and my grandmother on their farm when I was young. He fought Nazis and
built churches, helped his community, brought joy wherever he went, and
he will always be an inspiration to me.
I
know that many of you who follow me on social media have seen me talk
about him or share pictures and videos, and I thought it was only right
to tell you of his passing. My family and I are all still processing
this, but I thank you all for your kindness and support. My grandfather
was a light in the world, and the best thing anyone can do for his
memory is keep that light shining brightly.
