As you probably know, I have a Patreon, which helps me make
ends meet in between book sales and other projects. My current goal is
$500 a month, the amount I need to free up enough time from regular work
to write a new short story that doesn’t have to be for a set publishing
market. These are short stories that I really want to write and I think
you guys will want to read, but aren’t the sort of thing I can justify
writing for literary magazines and anthologies: things like more
Ouroboros Cycle stores that explore secondary characters, plotlines, or
historical paths not taken in the novels.
Once we reach
this goal, my patrons will get to vote on which which story they want to
read from a short list of possibilities each month (I’ll give titles,
characters involved, and/or a short plot summary for each to help you
decide). Everyone donating $10 or more per month will get an ebook copy
of the month’s story. Everyone donating $25 or more will get a printed
manuscript mailed to them, which will be signed and may include other
features like accompanying art.
I started my Patreon
because I keep getting told that my readers want to read more than a
single book each year. If that’s the case, then this is your chance. You
can help me keep going in between book sales, get more stories to read,
and even decide which stories you want to have me write for you. If
