Lucy’s Party Dress
"I made Lucy’s sexy party dress with the snake embroidery peppermint green to match Mina’s green dress. Young girls, when they are friends, often dress similarly. At the same time, I wanted to show how different they were - Lucy a wealthy aristocrat, and Mina from a middle-class family; Lucy a sexually liberated girl who turns into a vampire, Mina prudent and modest. …I used a leaf pattern for Mina’s dress to symbolize peace and intertwining snakes for Lucy’s dress to symbolize eroticism." (Coppola and Eiko on Bram Stoker’s Dracula, p. 54)
