Qiu Jin - a writer, poet, feminist revolutionary, philanthropist...
Qiu Jin - a writer, poet, feminist revolutionary, philanthropist and martial artist who was a strong advocate of women’d education, ran a girls’ school dedicated to both educating girls and training them to participate in an uprising against the corrupt and oppressive government of the time, and was generally a BAMF in all respects. She died for her beliefs after refusing to give up on them, and became a martyr and Chinese national hero after her death.
