The Erotica Book Club for Nice Ladies

This year my book has won a Eudora Welty Fiction Award in Washington D.C. and Wishing Shelf recognition from Great Britain and Sweden. The Czech version is out, as well as the audiobook. The main reason for this post if because of confusion about the genre of my book. And I know why, but hope to clear it up. First of all, it's not an erotic book, only quotes from such authors as Emily Dickinson, Jane Austen, the like - a title inspired by a book I found published in the 1990's, edited by a lecturer in English literature at universities in Great Britain. Her book is called "Erotica, From Sappho to Margaret Atwater." On the first page of the index, are found classic authors, Emily Dickinson, Elizabeth Barrett Browning, the Bronte sisters and this intrigued me - how word meaning changes through years and how erotica is in the mind of the reader. Second, since I was previously a film/video writer, who loves quirkiness and unconventional writing, I wrote using an original style, with several characters and different POV's. Before publishing, I sent the ms through several readers who enjoyed a different type novel. Since there were no genres for me to choose from that described this book accurately, I used cozy mystery - since no violence - and women's fiction. Happy to answer questions.
