Recipe to follow!

So chirps our heroine from time to time as she takes us on a cross country adventure via hilarious blogpost summaries.

In Borrowing Trouble, J.W. Rose & Matthew Koenig take us on a rollicking roadtrip.

Recently retired newlyweds, Rose and Andrew Bradford, are offered the quest of a lifetime – would they please transport a disgruntled and snobbish 300-yr. old mermaid home to safety. And by the way, she’s pregnant to boot!

What could go wrong?

These affectionate and unlikely heroes become unwitting deliverers of more than just a cranky merwoman!

The world hangs in the balance as Otherworlders intercept our duo each mile of the way.

With wit, our characters endear themselves to our hearts as I cheered at their successes, gasped at the gruesome while smiling at their antics.

If you want a fun-and-out-of-the-ordinary adventure, climb aboard the Bradford Winnebago where toothsome delights are served with cozy charm paired with fairy folk, goblins, and Bigfoots. (Is that Bigfeet?)

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ~ Sarah L. Frantz

(I’m ready for the movie, perhaps Daryl Hannah could play the Mermaid!)

Monday morning washing in His word

Monday morning washing in His word.

1 Chronicles 8

Family histories,
Recited litanies

Arcadia homestead
Underwater dwelling

Catfish graze
Flooded fields

West home
Field forlorn

Cicadas sing,
Beams decay

But God
He sees

These well-worn
Tired songs

I groan
For resurrection

After sunset,
Comes Sonrise

Waning I
Look up.

Monday Morning Washing in His Word

2 Kings 4

Lineage continues
Cadence flow

He sees
He knows

Each one
By heart

Stories unfold
Our lives

Heavenly scroll
Records all

Laid bare
My weakness

Laid bare
My heart

Monday morning washing in His word

2 Kings 25

Judah’s king
Zedekiah rebels

King Nebuchadnezzer
Lays seige

God’s anger
Seen, felt

Seigeworks surround
Famine reigns

King flees
Breeched walls

Gateway opened
Between walls

Toward Arabah
They fled

Jericho plains
Witness capture

Babylon’s king
Passes sentence

He witnesses
Before blinding

Jerusalem stripped
Chief priest, second priest

Threshold guardians,
All removed

Governor Gedaliah’s
Short reign

Mizpah witnesses
Struck down

Again to
Egypt flee

King Evil-Merodach
Grants mercy

His table
Opens to

Judah’s King
With kindness

To whom do I surrender when I should be confessing all to my Savior. Am I so different? In Christ we have an eternal priest preparing our hearts for His return.

Monday morning washing in His word

2 Kings 22

Just eight
King Josiah

Jedidah’s child
Israel’s Lamp

He walked
David’s path

Heart straight
After God

At eighteen
He orders

Shaphan bring
Accounts reckoned

Godly repairs
Lawbook found

Shaphan reads
King hears

Robe-Tearer
God-Inquirer

Huldah speaks
Judgment given

But your
Tearful tearing

I see
And reward

Monday morning washing in His word

2 Kings 17

Under pillars

And poles

They worship

He warns

Israel’s customs

Stumble Judah

Assyrian exile

Israel removed

New nations

Settle Samaria

Babylon – Succoth-benoth

Cuth – Nergal

Hamath – Ashima

Avvites – Nibhaz & Tartak

Sepharvites – Adrammelech & Anammelech

(Sepharvaim gods)

Worshipped Lord

Wrongly, Irreverently

In worship

Sits obedience

Bowing Surrender,

Statutes, Ordinances

Handwritten commandments

With love

(Always love)

His Shall-nots

Met deaf-ears

And custom

Slew relationship

Lord, keep me from custom, draw me close to the beatings of Your heart. Let your commandments be gold to me in your topsy-turvy kingdom where hatred loves its enemy and cheeks are always turned. Help my mother-bear-war-beating heart yield to Your justice. Always.

Invitations…

I am so blessed to be included in Our Story Magazine’s Autumn edition. Krista invited me to be their featured debut author in her 8th issue of her lovely magazine. I am so thankful and blessed. Only God…

We chose a chapter from The Quickening, Overcomers book 1 which shows Dr. Cho receiving Christ as her Savior.

” The young women knelt on the Persian rug. The light of His presence transformed the odor into a visible darkness. It settled over Dr. Cho’s fingertips and grew, covering her hand and racing up both arms. She shook her head trying to clear her thoughts as the membranous darkness fully encapsulated her. And she saw now, it always had.”

I am gobsmacked by God’s goodness and faithfulness to the story He has given me to share with you.

Please, come have a seat at my table and visit a while.

With joy,

Sarah

Monday morning washing in His word

2 Kings 13

Lord sees

King’s evil

Lord’s anger

is kindled

Jehoahaz entreats

Lord heeds

Sacred pole

still remained

Small army

Aram’s destruction

Jehoahaz sleeps

Jehoash reigns

More evil

walked in

Joash slept

With ancestors

Jeroboam reigns

But first

Elisha sick

Unto death

Joash weeps

Seeking knowledge

Elisha answers

Two prophecies

Elisha dies

Elisha buried

Dead man

touch bones

Life comes

He stands

King Hazel

Oppresses Israel

God grace

Brings Presence

And turning

Brings compassion

Covenant returns

Joash victories

Lord, please bring me Joash victories as You remember Your covenant with me through Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior. Help me to walk in your ways and remove all sacred poles that are an embarrassment to You and a shame to me.

slain too

Jeroboam’s calves

Still stand

Lord trims

Israel’s territory

Jehu reigned

Twenty-eight years

Dirt-clod

Dirt-clod feet
Need His unction

Dead men walking
Need His life

Cold law dies
In light of His grace

And I praise.

So serve well, Little Heart
In each moment of surrender

Love large
New chambers to grow

Breathe deep
His ressurection

All glory to God!
