NATO: It’s Time To Cull the Snake in the US’s Garden

This week’s brouhaha in Brussels saw the Foreign Ministers of NATO emerge from their holes in the ground looking for food now that things are finally warming up for Spring.

And they had a message for us: more for them and less for us. They were ready to steal the food from our mouths, our children from our homes, to give Ukraine the aid it needs to beat Russia in a war only they seem to want.

They would strangle the political process at home to make this so. They would betray their basic roles a...

The Mechanism: How the ‘Order’ Based on Made-up Rules Is Descending Into Savagery

The awful shadow of some unseen Power
Floats tho’ unseen amongst us, -visiting
This various world with as inconstant wing
As summer winds that creep from flower to flower.-
Like moonbeams that behind some piny mountain shower,
It visits with inconstant glance
Each human heart and countenance;
Like hues and harmonies of evening,-
Like clouds in starlight widely spread,-
Like memory of music fled,-
Like aught that for its grace may be
Dear, and yet dearer for its mystery.
Shelley, Hymn to Intellec...

In Praise of Paper and Ink

A couple days ago, I received an email informing me that I had a message in a special app called “ParentSquare”. In this special app—not in regular, low-tech email—the teacher had written an important message about my daughter’s schoolwork So, the email was a digital middleman that informed me of a message in a completely separate digital system. The email then repeated the contents of the app’s message anyways, making the separate app completely unnecessary. Confused? Me too.

You might wonder w...

Why Do Ambulances Now Post Warning Signs of Sepsis, Not Covid-19?

“The only way to get MERSA (flesh-eating bacterial infection) is from antibiotics.  Human skin has harmless Staphylococcus bacteria that is ‘sensitive’ (killed) by antibiotics.  The same can happen with Clostridium Difficile bacteria in the gut.  When given antibiotics Staph forms into a protective Plasmid (or protective virus) that makes it resistant to the antibiotic (to protect essential balance of stores of bacteria). The result is an infection or overgrowth. In a hospital, patients are stuc...

The Labor Market’s Not Strong, The Fed’s Completely Wrong

The chart below tells you why the Fed and its Wall Street megaphones can’t figure out what is actually happening to the US economy; and, also, why the White House is hopelessly out to lunch in its claims that Bidenomics has been a roaring success.

To paraphrase the Captain in Cool Hand Luke, what we’ve got here is failure to calculate. That is, the US economy has been radically tortured and twisted by the pandemic era lockdowns and stimmies. So normal economic activity that was disrupted and def...

McConnell Cannot Stop the Non-Interventionist Tide

Even Republican stalwarts like current Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell are starting to notice that something is shifting in the party. While McConnell announced recently that he would step down as Republican leader in the US Senate, in an interview last week he was adamant that he would continue to serve out his term in the Senate with one purpose in mind: “fighting back against the isolationist movement in my own party.”

He sounds worried.

What McConnell deems to be “isolationism” had fo...

Facing Nuclear War

The invention of nuclear weapons was an act of total insanity. If the massive stockpiles of nuclear weapons are not dismantled and destroyed, sooner or later they will destroy planet Earth.

We have survived so far because the Cuban Missile Crisis awoke President Kennedy and Soviet leader Khrushchev to the danger of distrust between nuclear powers. For the remainder of the 20th century Washington and Moscow worked to defuse tensions and to build transparency and trust. Sufficient success was achi...

What’s so Great About the Great Reset, Great Taking, Great Replacement, Great Deflation, and Next Great Depression?

“At the point where the illusion becomes too expensive to maintain they will just take down the scenery, they will pull back the curtains, they will move all the tables and chairs out of the way, and you will see the brick wall at the back of the theatre.” – Frank Zappa

“In the past few years, you have been living within an escalating hybrid war. Globally, we have witnessed overt media control and propaganda campaigns; censorship, including arrests of people speaking in public; monitoring of all...
