Freeing the Drones

Writes Frank Golubski:

Just read Tom Woods' post "Bush Official: How Dare Ron Paul Distract the Drones." This made me think of something.

I'm seeing in my mind's eye Ridley Scott's famous Apple Macintosh "1984" commercial.

Except in my version, the drab, grey drones are sitting in the musty, dusty ol' indoor amphitheatre watching RUSH LIMBAUGH (or BILLO or SEAN INSANNITY or GLENN FECKLESS) up on the telescreen, holding forth on the glories of the GOP establishment and its numerous candidates.

Meanwhile, a stunning, athletic blonde is running for her life, carrying a sledge hammer in her hands, toward the amphitheatre, storm troopers hot on her heels.

When she reaches the amphitheatre, she stops before the telescreen, swings that hammer around for all she's worth and releases it just as the storm troopers run in.

She sends it flying, flying toward the telescreen ...

... and BOOM!

And all the drones just sit there slack-jawed, still staring in disbelief toward the destroyed telescreen, wondering what this means.

And what is the blonde wearing?

The Ron Paul gold-peace-prosperity shirt, of course.

Somebody, PLEASE make this parody!

'Bush Official: How Dare Ron Paul Distract the Drones?'

"Get him off the stage so we can get back to the great American tradition of choosing between robots with rehearsed and predictable answers, says Bradley Blakeman." Read the rest from Tom Woods.

TNR vs. RP

The New Republic was founded to promote war and the corporate state. The little left-fascist mag may have told the truth, but not often. Indeed the best-written and most entertaining articles the mag has ever run were by Stephen Glass, and they turned out to be pure fiction. A telling moment! Now the neocon organ claims that Ron has "lost" his own district. One of the charges: many of his constituents support him because they love him as a man. Darn right that this is a source of his strength. Should he be an SOB like Perry? Of course, the corrupt and statist Republican establishment hates him. He's the decent country doctor in their whorehouse. But their hate has never impeded him. Indeed, redistricting or no redistricting, if Ron were to decide to run again (not the worst thing in the world!), he would easily win. (Thanks to Ralph Raico)

'Why Ron Paul Is Winning the GOP Primary'

Because he keeps emphasizing such issues as Austrian economics, says Dana Milbank in the Washington Post. (Thanks to Travis Holte)
