Cainesian Kochetry

Herman tries to hide his deep connections to "libertarian" oligarchs Charles and David. Note that Cain is also a neocon warmonger, which bothers the Boys from Wichita, and the other oily ones, not a whit. Indeed, given the endless wars for petroleum, it must be a qualification.

Good News for Our Side

Iowa may move its caucuses to early December. (Thanks to Brad Funkhouser)

Adds Brad: "Althought I deplore this guy personally, I believe his  analysis is  excellent."

In Herman Cain's Writings

A startling lack of foresight.

Adds Danny Ajamian: "When even Time Magazine can see this, it would seem the shelf life of the latest flavor of the month will not be long."

Mitt the Mercantilist

At the last debate, Romney was particularly vicious against the Chinese for daring to sell us products we want to buy at prices we want to pay. He made trade war threats, and even hinted at war war. Of course, the neocons have long wanted a cold war, and maybe worse, against China for daring to emerge from communist poverty. My favorite Romney lie, however, was the establishment claim that China is "manipulating" its currency. Actually, the real crime is that China prevents the US from manipulating its currency, to punish consumers and reward export industries and their banks, in the historic mercantilist fashion. By attempting to reestablish economically rational fixed exchange rates, so that US mega-inflation cannot be used against it, China has reaped the hate of much of the establishment. However, the benefit of fixed exchange rates are only achievable with an international gold standard. When one ounce of Chinese gold equals one ounce of US gold, than the horrendous costs of fluctuating fiat currencies are abolished.

Please Spy on Me, Big Brother

If Rasmussen can be believed--and pollsters have lied in the past at the behest of the warfare state, and may be threatened and suborned by the police state, too--Americans approve of surveillance cameras (except at red lights).

Obama the Dictator

Writes Anna Fine:

"Awesome Jonathan Turley interview on NPR where he reveals the truth about Obama's atrocious disrespect for civil liberties and argues that he is more dangerous than Bush due to his icon status among mainstream liberals. Callers to the show prove his point by trying to rationalize Obama's crimes."

Only one prominent public figure is sound on civil liberties, of course: Ron Paul.

'Don't Buy GOP's Neo-Bon Con Game'

Writes Kent Bois:

"It looks like Gov. Christie, another in a long line of GOP globalist neo-cons, chickened out. I'm guessing he saw the writing on the wall. Any neo-con globalist in this election is fair game to Ron Paul and to the substantial block of libertarian-minded citizens ready to refute them.

"Thanks to the leadership of Ron Paul and the work of folks like Lew Rockwell, Jack Hunter, Judge Napolitano, Thomas Woods, Alex Jones, John Stossel, Gerald Celente, Jim Sinclair, Dr. Paul Craig Roberts, Bob Chapman and a host of others, many of us are 'locked and loaded' with information and the truth.

"Perry is fading. Perry who? Romney will too in my opinion because he's just another political clone. Can you say Obamacare without realizing it came from Romney's Massachusetts model? To my way of thinking that leaves the GOP up the creek. Cain has no staying power. Palin and Bachman are too low in the polls to be of any consequence. So who does that leave. What is the GOP going to do? They are going to have to try something."

SNL Homerun on 'Yet Another GOP Debate'

Thanks to Scott Fields, who notes that the skit is even fair to Ron. Watch all the way to the end.
