GOP Activists Are Despicable

Writes a friend from Houston:

Michael Berry is doing a live town hall with (I think) 40 GOP activists in the studio at KTRH. 50% are for Santorum.  They are pissed that TX does not have a voice in the process because of the redistricting fiasco (damn those wetbacks).  They voted for Santo to show the GOP their displeasure with Mitt. 2 are for Ron, Rest went for Herman, Newt, Mitt. Everyone of them support Cruz.

Ron Paul Prediction

From Anna Tinsley of the Ft. Worth Star Telegram:

The main question in [the Texas primary today] is likely, "How big will the Ron Paul effect be?"

Political observers estimate that Paul, a retired doctor with a loyal following, may pull anywhere from the upper single digits to somewhere in the double digits Tuesday.

His supporters are likely to make a big stand in his home state, especially since they want to be a force at state GOP conventions nationwide -- as they were during his 2008 presidential bid....

Romney has 1,084 delegates, according to estimates by The Associated Press; 1,144 are needed to clinch the nomination.

He could pick up those votes Tuesday in Texas, where 152 are up for grabs.

[Says Allan Saxe of the University of Texas], "It's likely that Ron Paul will get a large percentage but not enough to embarrass Romney."

Read it all.

The Exceptional US Government Must Rule the Globe

After all, God put DC in charge, and He will put Romney in charge of DC, for His world is dangerous.

Noam Chomsky Responds to Ron Paul

That is, to one of the greatest statements ever made in a presidential debate (the others being by Ron, too, of course).

Grassroots Ron Paul Festival

It will take place in Tampa 3 days before the convention. Since it is not near the RNC, perhaps it will not be invaded and occupied by special ops troops and their cop counterparts.

'Ron Paul: Fad, or Revolutionary?'

Shirley Husar thinks the Ron Paul movement is going nowhere because it focuses on change through the presidency or the Republican party, whereas real change comes at the local political level. But Ron has always advocated intellectual change as effective and lasting, and used politics as a way to spread his message. For Ron and the Paulians, politics is not about power over others, let alone feeding from the Republican side of the trough--federal or local--but about changing the climate of opinion. That is what will lead to good political change, and not vice versa. As to the change Ron wants, it is simple: far fewer US political interventions in our businesses, our families, our communities, our money, and around the world. No fascism, no central banking, no police state, no torture, no concentration camps, no wars of aggression. Liberty and Peace. These libertarian ideas are lasting, and will far outlast this awful presidential election and its creepy non-Ron candidates.
