War Whore

Morgan Freeman is used to playing God, and in lesser roles, president of the United States. These days, however, Freeman has sold his image and aura to the worst warmongers on the planet. Morgan Freeman has signed on as a front man and propagandist for an all-out military confrontation with Russia, the only country that has the power to turn the United States into a burned out cinder. In a video that Freeman’s right-wing friends are circulating on social media, the actor declares that a new w...

Paying Income Taxes

The present federal tax code allows deductions for state income taxes. This is as it should be. Why? Because we should not have to pay taxes on what the locusts consume before we harvest the crop.

This should be obvious. Let’s consider the doctrine of the tithe. A farmer should pay a tithe on that portion of the crop that he harvests, not counting the replacement seeds saved from the previous year. He pays on his net return. If he benefits from a harvest, he pays the tithe. What about that po...

How To Prepare for a House Fire

“It’s all just things”, we say, until it’s our things that have gone up in smoke.

A house fire can occur at any time and often happens with little or no warning. Electrical wiring, cooking grease, lightning strikes, candles, dryers, cars, chemicals, wildfires, a neighbor’s house fire or toys left on lamps can all cause a fire to start. While many fires are preventable, there are plenty that are not.

Did you know that during 2010-2014, roughly one of every 338 households reported a house fire...

General Asapov Died

The death of Lieutenant General Valery Asapov and two Russian colonels who were with him in Syria highlights the fundamentally different military command philosophies of the US and Russian militaries.

Putting aside the question of whether or not General Asapov was deliberately targeted, the key point about his death is that he was a high ranking general (commander at the time of his death of Russia’s 5th Red Banner Army) who was killed whilst carrying out personal reconnaissance on the front...

It’s Shockingly Easy To OD

Everyone wants to make sure that they’re consuming all of the vitamins and minerals that they need. Giving your body what it needs is one of the simplest things you can do to stay healthy. Unfortunately, most people don’t eat the daily recommended amounts of every nutrient on a regular basis. If they did, the supplement industry in America wouldn’t be raking in $122 billion per year. Taking a pill to shore up a dietary deficit is incredibly convenient, and Americans are willing to pay a lot f...

Proper Hat Etiquette

So you want to wear a nice hat, do ya? Fine. Then you need to learn how to wear it like a proper lady or gentleman.

Welcome to Retro Week, where we’ll be firing up the flux capacitor and bringing you 1950s know-how on everything from casserole-making to fallout-shelter-building to the joys of letting kids relax and play with trash.

These days there doesn’t seem to be much order when it comes to hats. People wear whatever they like, whenever they like, wherever they like. That’s all well and g...

Some Used Cars Cost More Than New Ones

We had a caller on the nationally syndicated Car Pro Show this Saturday who told me he wanted to purchase a factory certified 2016 Chevy Tahoe, and wanted my advice on which one to purchase.  My answer was “get a new 2017, it will probably be cheaper”.  I could tell by his pause he doubted my answer, and I am sure many of you reading this may be, too.

I have written on this before, but today the problem is even worse because of the two recent hurricanes we had in Texas and Florida.  Dealers a...

Did the Oakland Raiders Throw a Game?

A new report from The Armstrong and Getty Radio Show has sent shockwaves throughout the sports world after it was claimed that members of the NFL’s Oakland Raiders may have purposefully allowed their star quarterback to get sacked multiple times after he refused to kneel during the National Anthem.

If true, this would essentially mean that an NFL football game was illegally thrown over anger that one of the teams star white players did not believe that kneeling during the nation’s anthem was...

Don’t Do It

Everyone dreams of retirement; finally, the point in your life where you can stop clocking in day-in and day-out. A time where you can begin to enjoy your golden years, travel more, get in some necessary R&R, and spend more time with friends and family. Although there is much to look forward to in retirement, you may want to hold off as long as possible, as research suggests prolonging your retirement could keep your brain sharp.

Delayed retirement boosts brain power and longevity

Having the...

Not Your Average Joe

Human Events, October 6, 2010 – My friend Joe Sobran died last Thursday, and the world lost its greatest writer.

To my delight, some obituaries noted that he had influenced my writing style. I only wish I had known he was so close to the end so I could have seen him again to let him influence me some more.

The G.K. Chesterton of our time, Joe could deliver a knockout punch with a single line. Many of his aphorisms were so catchy that everyone repeats them now without realizing their provenanc...
