The Trump-Putin Peace Conference

Donald Trump won back some supporters with his bold diplomatic moves with Russia yesterday. Seeking peace is never a popular move with those who run our civilization, as could be seen by the hysterical opposition he garnered, with even more irrational hatred than usual, from every pillar of the establishment.

The code words were everywhere on social media; Trump was consistently called a “traitor,” and “Putin’s bitch.” Alleged “journalists” dropped their facade further than they ever had; for...

Make Sure Every Member of Your Group Has One

I wrote several articles in the past about the importance of maintaining good first-aid treatment capabilities when you’re out in the woods, as well as in the home. I also mentioned the need for training and suggested several ways to go about receiving it to better prepare you and your family. That being said, your situation is your own: you may not have the time to do such training, although it is a priority.

In a related article, we discussed the importance of prepping trauma packs in detai...

Avoiding Problems

You might be thinking about buying an older car as a way to avoid having to deal with some of the things that come with new cars, like it or not – and want it or not – including can’t-fix-it-yourself technology and the run-amokness of peremptory/busybody/Big Brothery technology.

For some, it’s getting to be Too Much – and not just in terms of cost.

But – how old do you have to go to avoid that stuff? And how old is too old? The answer depends on how much modern stuff you’d like to avoid – and...

It’s All Fake

Big Brother does not watch us, by his choice. We watch him, by ours…. When a population becomes distracted by trivia, when cultural life is redefined as a perpetual round of entertainments, when serious public conversation becomes a form of baby-talk, when, in short, a people become an audience, and their public business a vaudeville act, then a nation finds itself at risk; culture-death is a clear possibility.”— Professor Neil Postman

Americans have a voracious appetite for TV entertainment...

More and More Americans Consider Renouncing Citizenship

There has been a tremendous amount of debate about building walls to stop illegal immigration. But the IRS is building walls to keep Americans in.

The US government is cracking down on Americans with outstanding tax bills by revoking passports.

The IRS says 362,000 Americans with “seriously delinquent” or overdue tax payments will be denied passport renewal if they don’t pay up, according to a report by Time.

A law passed in 2015 empowered the IRS to block passports if a person owes more tha...

12 Ham Sandwiches

So, former FBI lawyer Lisa Page declined to testify before a congressional committee because she didn’t feel like it. Apparently we’re now a rule-of-law-optional nation. Until recently, we were merely reality-optional. That was fun, but when officers of the country’s leading law enforcement agency go optional on standard legal procedure, like answering subpoenas, then we’re truly in the land where anything goes (and nothing matters).

After two years of Trump-inspired hysteria, it’s pretty obv...

Washington’s Russophobia

US president Donald Trump is in Helsinki for a one-on-one (plus translators), no-advisers-allowed meeting with Russian premier Vladimir Putin. And seemingly everyone is convinced that Russia is undermining liberal democracy, indulging in nefarious interventions around the world, and even dead-set on reviving some larger Russia, for which the annexation of Crimea was only the start. Everyone, that is, except Trump.

So, on the eve of this most black-boxed of presidential tête-à-têtes, his own J...

Heighten Your Power of Situational Awareness

STOP: BEFORE YOU READ ON, STUDY THE PICTURE ABOVE FOR 60 SECONDS.

THEN, SCROLL DOWN AND SEE IF YOU CAN ANSWER THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS:

How many people total were involved in this accident? How many males and how many females? What color were the two cars? What objects were lying on the ground? What injury did the man on the ground seem to be suffering from? What was the license plate number of one of the cars?

How did you do on this little test? Not as well as you would have liked? Perhaps...

Sound Waves Reveal Huge Cache of Diamonds

Study finds 1–2 percent of Earth’s oldest mantle rocks are made from diamond.

From MIT:

There may be more than a quadrillion tons of diamond hidden in the Earth’s interior, according to a new study from MIT and other universities. But the new results are unlikely to set off a diamond rush. The scientists estimate the precious minerals are buried more than 100 miles below the surface, far deeper than any drilling expedition has ever reached.

The ultradeep cache may be scattered within cratonic...

Anthony Bourdain Unloads on Blll and Hillary

Anthony Bourdain pulled no punches in one of his final interviews as the celebrity chef slammed Bill Clinton for being ‘rapey, gropey and disgusting’ and spoke of how he imagined Harvey Weinstein dying alone in a bathtub.

The globe-trotting food chronicler, who hanged himself in a French hotel in June, gave a lengthy and wide-ranging interview to journalist Maria Bustillos for her recently launched magazine Popula.

The interview was conducted in one of Bourdain’s favorite Irish pubs in New Yo...
