The Adventures of Black Lace by Dennis Higgins (New Release)

Congratulations to Dennis Higgins, on his new book release, The Adventures of Black Lace ( A Steampunk Alice Book). This book is fully illustrated with multiple talented artists and genres. I am honored to say that this author included a few of my illustrations in this book.

Lacey Straight was just a boring, 9 to 5 type woman. Her fresh water fish was the most exciting thing in her tedious life. That all changed the day her twin sister, Alice, brought her to Mindbender for the adventure of a lifetime. When Alice’s steampunk past comes calling, Lacey becomes Black Lace and is left to fend for herself in this world from a pseudo time. Undaunted, she takes to her new and magical surroundings like a Siamese fighting fish takes to water, leaving outlaws, air pirates, and a host of unique individuals in her wake. She finds courage and purpose she never knew she had. As her old life fades to memory, Black Lace must decide where she truly belongs.

Virginia Wright Artwork In Upcoming Dennis Higgins Time-Travel Book

Dennis Higgins author of Steampunk Alice is a master in imaginative, time-travel writing. I am truly honored to be part of his upcoming release, book 2 in the Steampunk Alice adventures, through my illustrations. Right now, book 2 is in the hands of his editor, and released soon in a full color version.

I am the original cover and contributing artist for Steampunk Alice. The cover won best cover (Gold) in the 2014 AuthorDB contest. In 2017, I created the Steampunk Alice coloring book.

My next work in progress

I’m very excited about my next work in progress as it is a cute children’s story about nicknames. The illustrations are turning out well, and it is going to be dedicated to my latest granddaughter who is now three years old. I’ve dedicated my books to all of my grandchildren and also to my adult children. So, it is always fun for me when I am nearing the end of a new book and then finally get to present my grandchild the book dedicated to them.

After that book is completed I am planning on writing a sequel to my romance novel, A Christmas to Remember. I’m equally as excited about doing that.
