Finished Joy's Story in Love Fate Dealt Us
When i started the first part of Joy's story she was supposed to be in love in with Joey Bonds. Crazy mad in love. He was the bad boy of the story. Cocky, arrogant, riding a motorcycle at 100 miles an hour. Then all of a sudden Adam was in love with her. The whole original plot fell by the wayside. I was amazed how things went to hell in a hand basket but i loved the story. i loved Adam and Joy together. I had one little problem. I had already written Joy and Joey as parents to Stevie and Betsy and Adam as parents to Declan and Noah.
So i wrote half of The Love Fate Dealt us and had to quit because I didn't know how to make it satisfying. As a reader of books I try to think that way when I'm writing. So I wrote Noah's story. He had been a widower for too long. He needed Lexi to come into his life. When Never Leave Me was complete I felt like I could start to tackle the Adam and Joy thing again.
That is why I love writing. The characters consume me. They are in my dreams sometimes. I think about them a lot. When I'm writing my fingers fly across the keyboard telling their story. I have to get it out of my head. I'm really excited by how I finished Joy and Adam's story. They had a tender love story. loving each other forever but not really getting together until they were older.
We'll see them again in the other novels I have planned. So I will get to let the readers know what they actually do with their story not just where I left it in the pool in the woods.
