Forrest Capie is Professor Emeritus of Economic History at the Cass Business School City University, London. After a doctorate at the London School of Economics (LSE) and a teaching fellowship there, he taught at the University of Warwick and the University of Leeds. He was a British Academy Fellow at the National Bureau in New York and a Visiting Professor at the University of Aix-Marseille and the LSE, and a Visiting Scholar at the IMF.
