Announcement – New Book Series

I’m incredibly excited to announce the commencement of a brand-new series set within the magical world of Arghost, titled the “Origin Series.” Each novel in this series will spotlight a singular character who has left a significant mark on the overarching narrative of Arghost.

The inaugural book focuses on the enigmatic Dark Wizard, Volthar: Exiled Child of Destiny, who spearheaded the first incursion of the darkness into the world. Unearth the motivations and history of this complex character in this gripping new story line. Dive deeper into the tapestry of Arghost’s lore and discover the threads that bind its heroes and villains alike.

Volthar cloaked figure

“The weak fear the darkness,

while the strong become it.

I am the pain this world has bestowed upon me.”

                                                         – Volthar

Volthar’s story is a stark reminder of how personal tragedy, unprocessed grief, and a relentless drive for power can lead to devastating consequences. It also serves as a cautionary tale of how the pursuit of revenge can ultimately lead to a path of self-destruction.

More updates coming soon!

Sven Fallenoak

Sven Fallenoak, a man destined for a life amid the tavern’s lively clamor, uncovered his true vocation in the intricate art of brewing. From an early age, he was spellbound by the enigmatic alchemy of fermentation, devoting every conscious moment to the study of diverse ingredients, sophisticated techniques, and time-worn manuscripts. Despite his father’s disapproval, Sven tenaciously experimented to refine his brews, establishing apiaries in the tavern’s shadows to obtain the precious honey for his mead.

As Sven matured, his ardor for brewing only intensified, culminating in a peerless honey mead, boasting a rich tapestry of flavors. The scent of the amber elixir permeated the air, transforming the Barewallow tavern into a sanctuary for wayfarers in search of the realm’s most exquisite brew. With the passing of his parents, Sven immersed himself in the world of brewing and tavern management. Years whirled past, marked by the cacophony of clinking tankards and animated conversations that encapsulated the very essence of the tavern.

Sven’s magnum opus occurred at the annual brew festival in the Kingdom of Abras, where his honey mead enraptured all. The event was a dazzling panorama of hues and sounds, as eager connoisseurs swirled and savored the myriad concoctions presented. The strong aroma of hops and barley danced on the breeze, mingling with bursts of joyous giggles.

As a consequence of his triumph, Sven’s tavern evolved into a hallowed destination, and he was acclaimed as an illustrious master brewer. Unaffected by his newfound notoriety, Sven remained modest and focused, incessantly endeavoring to hone his skills. The Barewallow tavern teemed with the cacophony of merriment, the tantalizing scent of sumptuous fare, and the bewitching atmosphere of sorcery and intrigue that enveloped the venerable brewer and his illustrious establishment.

Frostmire Tundra

Within the biting, bone-chilling winds of the Frostmire tundra in Ijovar, situated in the northern domain of Atheron, an eternal shroud of snow and ice envelops the landscape. The air is crisp and tinged with the scent of frost, while the crunch of frozen ground resounds underfoot. The relentless cold and unforgiving environment is home to a select few resilient flora and fauna, each tenaciously clinging to life amid the glacial wasteland.

Rimehide                Rimehide

Among these hardy survivors are the Frosthoof Goat and the Rimehide, creatures that have evolved to subsist on the sparse patches of low-growing vegetation, such as mosses, lichens, herbs, and diminutive shrubs. Their thick coats shield them from the howling winds and swirling snow, while their keen senses enable them to navigate the vast, white expanse.

Iceheart Plant               Iceheart Plant

For intrepid seekers of magical flora, the Frostmire tundra offers rare treasures like the Iceheart and Moonseed plants. These elusive botanical wonders, shrouded in an aura of frosty mist and faintly glowing with a silvery-blue luminescence, are highly coveted by those who dare to venture into the frostbitten realm. The gentle rustle of the wind through the sparse vegetation whispers secrets of their hidden locations, but only the most determined and well-prepared will succeed in unearthing their enigmatic mysteries.

Molly Rumplespice

In the heart of the magical Dewforest, where colors shimmer with the brilliance of a thousand rainbows, and the air is filled with the sweet melodies of celestial birds, lives a one-of-a-kind Fae named Molly Rumplespice. This whimsical creature is renowned throughout the realm for her delectable pickleberry pies, which are loved by all who are fortunate enough to taste them.

Molly Rumplespice is a curious creature with a kind heart and a gentle spirit. She has a knack for discovering hidden treasures and a deep connection to the plants and creatures that inhabit Dewforest. But her most cherished skill is her ability to bake the most scrumptious pickleberry pies.

Pickleberries are rare fruit that grows only in the deepest corners of the Dewforest. Painted in a spectrum of deep purples to vibrant greens, these berries possess a reputation for their delightfully sharp and tangy taste, as well as the enchanting effects they bestow upon those who dare to partake.

The secret to Molly’s delightful pickleberry pies lies in her unique recipe, which has been passed down through generations of Fae. Combining the ripest pickleberries with a blend of mystical spices and a touch of moonlight-infused honey, she creates a culinary masterpiece that enchants both the taste buds and the soul.

Each day, Molly Rumplespice awakens with the first light of dawn, eager to begin her pie-making process. She sets out into the dew-kissed forest, searching for the ripest and most succulent pickleberries. With a gentle touch, she harvests the precious fruits, ensuring that the plants remain healthy and vibrant for future harvests.

Back in her cozy, ivy-covered cottage, Molly Rumplespice gets to work, carefully mixing the ingredients for her pies with love and precision. As the fragrance of baking pies fills the air, children from all over the village gather outside her door, eagerly awaiting a taste of the delightful treat.

Once the pies are ready, she shares them with her visitors, delighting in the joy that her creations bring to others. Molly Rumplespice’s pickleberry pies are more than just a delicious treat; they represent the love, kindness, and magic that flourish within the heart of Dewforest. As long as Molly continues to bake her enchanting pies, the bonds between the Fae and the forest will remain strong, and the magic of Dewforest will continue to thrive. The local’s of the village affectionately refer to her with the well-earned title of the “Pickleberry Pie Whisperer.”

Seneb Her Oasis

Nestled in the northwestern expanse of the great deserts of Aesulyn lies the Seneb Her Oasis, a realm of enchantment and wonder bestowed upon all who brave the harsh and unforgiving lands by Athris himself. The heart of this miraculous sanctuary is a great pool of fresh, sparkling water, said to be connected to a vast underwater aquifer that stretches northward through the lands of Ijovar. Its crystal-clear waters offer a welcome reprieve to even the most intrepid of travelers, sating their thirst with every cool, refreshing sip.

The oasis is a favored haunt of the graceful desert waterbucks, their lithe forms skimming the water’s edge as they drink in the nourishing liquid. However, danger also lurks within this idyllic haven, in the form of the infamous Kismambu. This lethal desert-dwelling serpent is known for its ability to hypnotize its prey before swallowing them whole, still alive. Its slithering form lurks in the shadows, waiting for the next unwary victim to stumble into its trap.

On most days, smaller herds of thunder lizards also stop by the oasis, their lumbering forms stopping to refuel as they make their pilgrimage across the lone lands. These awe-inspiring creatures quench their thirst and replenish their energy with the bountiful supply of water and vegetation at Seneb Her.

Encircling the sparkling pool is an abundance of vibrant flora, including lush berry bushes heavy with ripe fruit, delicate desert flowers swaying in the gentle breeze, and majestic palm trees whose fronds cast cooling shadows on the fertile ground below. The Seneb Her Oasis truly lives up to its name, a sparkling miracle amidst the endless expanse of the unforgiving desert.
