Jim Chastain is the author of three books. His memoir, "I Survived Cancer, But Never Won the Tour de France" was named a Top Ten Book of 2006 by the Austin Chronicle's Senior Book Editor. The book is a series of essays and poetry, predominantly humorous. "Like Some First Human Being" is Chastain's first poetry collection. "Antidotes & Home Remedies" is his newest collection of poems.

Chastain is a long-time film critic for two newspapers and a contributer to the Oklahoma Gazette and Oklahoma Today magazine. He currently writes a daily blog for the Oklahoman. He has many published poems and songs, along with two screenplays. ...more
