Patience Is a Virtue

@%#!*t5w

Blankety blank  blank

Dad-blame, carn-sarn

Heck and gosh almighty.

Blow you top and you'll feel better.

That for sure alrighty.

It makes no difference whose feelings you hurt...

Makes no difference who you treat like dirt.

Just stomp on your friends and your brother and all,

Or anyone else who stands too tall.

It's fine to stand up for what's right I should think.

It's fine, but no need to make such a stink.

Because patience is a virtue you can't overplay,

And something we all should practice each day.

I Think I'll Live Forever

I think I'll live forever;

See no reason why I shouldn't.

I argued with a fellow once

Who told me that I couldn't.

"You've got to die", he said to me.

"It's all a part of living".

It seemed to me a dumb remark,

But I can be forgiving.

No need to make a big "to do"

About a small request.

I'd like to live forever

And I plan to do my best

To make it just as far in life

As possibly I can.

If I don't make it,

I'll live 'til I die,

And take it like a man.

Knowledge

Oh, you warbling warbler

Perched on my fencepost.

Warble your warble,

Cry your cry.

'Feed me. I'm hungry.

I'm always hungry.'

Feed me your birdseed,

Your bread crumbs, your worms.

I can't get enough.

I can't get too much.

Just keep it coming. Don't let it stop.

I won't get enough until I die.

I won't get too much if I live forever.

Worry

Worry  worry

Hurry scurry,

Makes you seem

All in a flurry.

Makes you feel bad,

Wears you out.

Makes you almost want to shout.

We all have problems...

All worry some,

But worrying about things

Won't get them done.

So

Think out your worries.

Find out what's wrong.

You'll find that your worries

Will soon be gone.

Fire

Sitting by the fireside...

Much too cold to go outside...

Watching the wind thrust forth and back...

Fighting the pine with a whip and a crack...

"Pop" the fire bursts onto the hearth.

The flame sings "crack" and "crackle" again.

The tall smoke rises into the skies

To be toppled by the wind.

But the fire is confined, its anger is stored

In the corner of light it supplies,

Until its anger consumes it in flame,

And thus in defiance, it dies.

But it sings in its anguish,

It longs to be free.

To those who confine it, it longs to decree

Its terrible force, its unleashed power,

The sorrow it leaves as it starts to cower.

And I think...

Is not this the story of men?

To live, to grow stronger, to fight to the end,

And on leaving leave sorrow

That grows less each tomorrow.

Madness

A madness of perplexity

Is what this

World

Looks like to me.

Right and wrong

Are all the same;

Depending on who runs "the game".

Anarchy rules supreme in my mind***

Leaving

All

Sense

Of

Logic

Behind.

I become a giant.

Ibecomeanelf

I search and I search,

But I can't find myself.

I live and I learn...but get nowhere.........

But when I'm gone, will anyone care?

Will the world go on?

It survived before...

I'm sure when I leave

It

Will

Do

It

Once

More.

This "madness" is not an obsession with me

For these thoughts are only a

  drop in the sea.

To Be a Man

The noise outside is silently growing

To fill the room with emptiness,

And the problems of the world

Ride through the air of time and mind

To rest on the shoulders of each and every man.

To take them seriously:

To make him thoughtful,

To make him concerned,

To make him forlorn,

To make him belong.

To take them lightly:

To make him thoughtless,

To make him discerned,

To make him cajoling,

To make him trivial.

To be a man; to be a part

He must lend a hand; must give his heart.

For he who is careless is nothing but wrong,

And he who is thoughtless can never belong.

Think

That little thing inside a person...

Conflicting right and wrong...

Distinguishing good from evil...

Turning desire into achievement...

Transforming guilt into restitution...

A conscience.

Peace of Mind

It's a long long time from now 'til then;

The time I will truly find

All the thought and creativity

That dwells within one mind.

With a gift of love

A gift of song.

And all the things that must belong

Within a mind in which peace dwells.

I try to think but all thought fails

To bring to me and all mankind

The beauty that is peace of mind.

Doubt

What is doubt but indecision?

Take a thought, make an incision.

Grind out the matter of what it's about.

Shed some light on the darkness of doubt.

Every thought has an alternate plan...

No matter how great... No matter how small.

So, indecisiveness plagues at each hand

And hangs over thought like a great iron claw.

But indecision is a weakness I fear

For the good may pass by and leave emptiness here

In my life

While I stand

With my heart

In my hand.
