Seasons of Love

As the piper pipes...

And the songstress sweetly sings of love...

And the lilacs fragrantly bloom in springtime...

As the crooner croons...

And the lovers love in sweet loveliness...

And the summer breezes blow gently through her hair...

As the songbird sings...

And the jesters jest so jovially...

And autumn's myriad of colors glow in the sunlight...

As the strings play...

And the distant drums fade in the sunset...

And the gentle snow makes barren a host of color

And purifies the earth in a cloak of white...

As my love for you...

As I live for you...

As I long for you... My love.

Star

A star sits up in the sky

Looking down at the universe

In awesome wonder.

It never says a word,

But peaks its head

Out of the dark shadows of nothingness,

And sits

Winking at the magnificent beauty of earth.

A star is a very peculiar thing...

Whereas we go to bed when the dark comes,

And wake with the light,

A star does just the opposite...

For it is very shy.

Rain

The rain is coming down outside,

But I ain't gonna run and hide.

I'm standing in the pouring rain,

But if I really had a brain,

I'd turn and go inside.

Limericks

Bingo is a game for fun.

Mingo was an Indian.

Hapless... Hopeless...

Smoking dope is stupid.

Eat a bun.

Fingers point. "Shame, shame" they say.

There's got to be a better way.

Be nice. Think twice.

The spice of life is

Making hay from day to day.

It's time we all got serious.

It tends to make me curious;

The way we waste

Our lives in haste

Just simply makes me furious.

So, eat a pickle, pucker lips.

Twist and shout and shake your hips.

But don't dismay,

Another day

Will come your way like passing ships.

We meet. We talk. We pass the day.

We try to find that golden bay

That lies serene

A golden dream

To come and sweep our hearts away.

If you don't find your dream today,

You simply choose another way.

You scratch and bite

With all your might

For what is right to do and say.

You keep your dream deep in your heart

To feed and nurture from the start.

You watch it grow

Until you know

You've made it. You're a part.

So, don't go giving up on schemes

Though disappointment sometimes seems

To come your way.

You'll find someday

You've realized your dreams.

Someday I'll Write You a Poem

Someday I'm going to write you a poem.

You may not know it at the time.

It may not have a scheme or rhyme.

But nevertheless

I'll try my best,

And someday I'll write you a poem.

Harvest of Stars

On a wondrously warm silent evening

With the galaxies flaunting their wares,

I stare at the diamond light beaming,

Forgetting all worries and cares.

And the starlight beams down to caress me,

And it cradles the world near and far;

Smiling sweetly and softly above me

As I reap a harvest of stars.

Hello, is there anyone out there?

Are you asking the same thing of me?

If so, are you wearing my blank stare?

If not, then the show is for free.

So, I'll stay here and gaze at the heavens,

And think about life up on mars.

I'll dream about going there someday

As I gather my harvest of stars.

My friends say that I 'm just a dreamer;

My eyes trained too much on the sky.

But my heavenly infatuation

Is a fact that I just can't deny.

So I'll stay here and gaze at the heavens,

And dream about life up on mars.

I'll dream about going there someday

As I gather my harvest of stars.

Flower

             In the

Mist---------------------------------------

There

  grows a

Flower.............

That

Glistens

With the

Sparkle

Of dew drops

***a beacon***

In a world of

Darkness.

Light

Light!  Bright.

Light? Right.

Right bright

Is bright light.

Sun? Fun...

Funny sun

Is bright light.

Light? Good...

Good would be

Bright light.

Light? Right.

Keep your light.

Shine it bright...

It's all all right

In bright light.

Make Me Laugh

I like to laugh...

Hate to cry.

Love to live...

Don't want to die.

Bless you, love you...

Love to think of you.

So, don't be shy. Don't make me cry.

I hate to cry...

Don't want to die.

So, please... Make me laugh.

Such Is the Plight of Man

Flowers in spring prefer growing in crowds.

They seem a sociable cult.

But flowers can never grow on a cloud

With any successful result.

A cloud is unstable, acceptive to change.

They lose their bearing to the wind in exchange

For a free-born spirit to stroll 'cross the blue

To wherever the wind wants to carry them to.

But flowers are stable, their roots need the soil.

They reach for the sun. They labor and toil

To free their roots from the bonds that confine;

To rescue their souls, deliver their minds

So that they too may fly where the free wind may bid;

To see what's to see; to shout it out loud;

I'm free, I'm whole, my bloom is unhid."

...But a flower can't grow on a cloud.
