Have Anteaters Evolved 12 Times?

In our world, a wide variety of mammals eat ants and termites, such as the giant anteaters we have in our zoos at the Ark Encounterr and Creation Museum. Well, according to a new study, this specialized ability to primarily dine on ants and termites has evolved at least 12 times since the Cenozoic era began, roughly 66 million years ago.

The specialized adaptations required to be a true myrmecophage (the scientific name for a creature that eats primarily ants and termites), include:

To help spread the word about our attractions to locals, along with those traveling from outside the area, we sponsored a special day of faith, family, and fastballs, including:

A team of volunteers (including some of the children of our staffthey had a great time) handing out all sorts of goodies to people as...

A Vegetarian Pterosaur?

And to every beast of the earth and to every bird of the heavens and to everything that creeps on the earth, everything that has the breath of life, I have given every green plant for food. And it was so. (Genesis 1:30)

Genesis teaches that originally every living creature was vegetarianeating the plants, seeds, and fruits that God created. Since Gods creation was very good (Genesis 1:31) and the penalty for sin is death (Genesis 2:17), we know that there was no deathincludin...

AiGs Archaeologist Shares Dig Details, Escape from Israel

Archaeology is fascinating.

Over the years, the more discoveries archaeologists working in Israel have made, the more they have found the Bibles history of events, places, and people is confirmed! Corey East, an archaeologist and an Answers in Genesis education specialist and speaker, was just on an archaeology dig in Israel.

I First Found [Your Book] in a Public Library in the 1990s

I love hearing testimonies about how the Lord is using the Answers in Genesis ministry. And now that its been 50 years since I gave my first creation apologetics talk, many of these testimonies stretch back decades, including one that was recently left as a comment on one of our social media channels.

I thought Id share this encouraging testimony with you:

I first found a book that you wrote in a public library in the 1990s. Either you wrote it or someone referenced you in the book, but any...

New Study: Blue Sharks Can Change Color

A shark that can change color? Yes! Based on a new study of nanostructures in the skin of blue sharks (a species of requiem shark that inhabits open, deep waters), scientists now believe that these sharks can actually change color as they dive, better matching the water around them.

Heres how Karina Altman, a marine biologist and our Zoo Content Manager, described this incredible new find:

Blue is one of the rarest colors in the animal world, and blue sharks get their striking blue color...

Christian on Joe Rogan Argues the Bible Is Pro-AbortionHow Do His Arguments Hold Up to Scripture?

Do not add to [Gods] words, lest he rebuke you and you be found a liar. (Proverbs 30:6)

This verse comes to mind after watching a truly atrocious clip from an interview on the podcast The Joe Rogan Experience, featuring Texas State Representative James Talarico, who is also a professing progressive Christian. In this four-minute clip, Talarico argues that there is no historical, theological, biblical basis for saying Christians must oppose abortion and that this idea that there is a ...
