A Special Day in the U.S.
Today is Veterans Day in America. After the massacre at the Ft. Hood, Texas, military post last week, this day becomes even more poignant. Also, I think of Mike Zovath, one of the founders of this ministry, who was a lieutenant colonel in the Army—he is recovering from heart surgery. A number of other AiG staff have also served in the military (e.g., Mike Riddle, Jim Stiles, Buddy Davis). Today we remember and thank those who have served in the U.S. military—and those currently serving.
Two ...

Follow-up on Cincinnati Magazine Article
Recently, I gave a summary of the lengthy article that appears in this month's edition of Cincinnati Magazine about our Creation Museum—and the visit by the 70 paleontologists who toured our museum a few months ago (they were in the area for a fossil conference).
A senior chemical engineer who works for a multi-billion-dollar Fortune 500 company wrote the following to us after he read the magazine article:
First, I am pleased at the length of coverage. Second, I was upset that the magazine...

In Elvis Country
As soon as my wife and I got on the rent-a-car shuttle from the airport, the driver said, "Welcome to Elvis country." Well we didn't come to Memphis, Tennessee, because this is "Elvis country"; we came so I could speak at a conference to help equip people to defend the Christian faith and to challenge non-Christians concerning the gospel.
I spoke to over 2000 at the Sunday morning services of Faith Baptist Church and then to around 1500 Sunday evening for the first of the two evening...

Charlie and Trike Are Coming
Kids are going to love a new series of books that will be produced soon, centered around two characters, Charlie and Trike. They will also meet Charlie and Trike at the Creation Museum (early in the new year). The first book is called Charlie and Trike's Grand Canyon Adventure—the Green Notebook Series. I have included just one of the spreads from this new book (that will be available early 2010):
With Charlie, he usually has his tail in the shape of a question mark! Kids will have fun as C...

A Unique Angle
Here is a unique angle on our Creation Museum—as found in a local magazine. Cincinnati Magazine is featuring a long article on our Creation Museum in the current (November) issue, with the title "And on the Sixth Day, God Created Paleontologists."
This year we have had three groups of evolutionary scientists visit the museum—one of them was this past Saturday (for those who had been attending a conference on Charles Darwin in Cincinnati). And there was another on August 7, when 285...

Spectacular Christmas Light Display "Evolving"
Our talented grounds staff at the Creation Museum is using their creativity and high-quality designed lights to once again turn the Creation Museum gardens into a spectacular light display as part of the phenomenal Live Nativity program for this Christmas. Here are three photos to give you a sneak preview of just a little of what you can expect to come:
Make sure you visit the Creation Museum in December to see these lights, and also check out the dates for the Live Nativity program

Special NASA Visitor
I'm continually amazed to hear of so many scientists and engineers who are associated with NASA and the American space program who are creationists. Last Friday, one of the engineers who has worked on the International Space Station toured the Creation Museum. This man (we'll keep his identity hidden—his position could be jeopardized if his supervisors knew that he rejected the evolutionary worldview) will tell you that evolution is the basis for some of America's space exploration programs, ...

"Woe to Those who . . . Put Darkness for Light and Light for Darkness"
In the book of Isaiah we read:
Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
I was reminded of this verse when I read a secularist's response to my recent blog on atheists and their claim of "child abuse" against Christians for teaching children about Christianity and creation. I encourage you to read my previous blog post and then read the response that was written to this:
Ken Ham lives in a...

Getting "To the Point"
The world's media often contact us to comment on the intersection of "religion and science." Last week, we had a Japanese film crew here at the Creation Museum to produce a travelogue of places to visit in America. The week before it was a Canadian documentary crew—this month marks the 150th anniversary of Darwin's On the Origin of Species, and this nationwide TV program will air in Canada
later this month.
On Friday, Dr. Terry Mortenson participated in a national U.S. interview program...

WWII Bomber Pilot Visits
At the end of a recent Thursday at the Creation Museum, and right after the conclusion of three days of board meetings, I found it nice to take a breather and meet some of our guests visiting that day. That included Harry and Lola Fike of Davenport, Iowa. They have been to the museum four times now. Their son, a PhD chemist in Michigan, is also an AiG supporter.
Harry has a remarkable story. During World War II, he flew two dozen missions over various parts of Europe. He told us that he was...
