From Drake To Hanson, Spotify's New Tool Connects Incompatible Musical Tastes

The music-streaming giant is using its algorithms to bridge musical divides, just in time for Valentine's Day.

It might not be religion or politics, but different tastes in music can be a serious hurdle in a relationship. So in some ways Spotify's new Sweet Spot playlist tool is less of a music web app and more of a relationship mediator, helping people see the similarities in different types of artists.

Kanye West's Fashion Line Looks Like The Bleakest Parts Of The Matrix

Tattered, sullen, and vaguely militaristic. Kanye West's new fashion line is what Keanu Reeves wore after he took the red pill.

Last night, Kanye West, in conjunction with Adidas Originals, showed off the Yeezy Season 1 fashion line. Inspired by his own fashion sense, it's mostly devoid of color and adorned with vague militarism, featuring unisex bomber and blouson jackets, and distressed, oversized collarless shirts in olive, tan, and grey. Each piece is a color deconstruction of camouflage itself. (Though pieces also come in camouflage prints, too!)

A New Wearable Zaps Your Brain To Help You Focus--Or Relax

Get the mood effects of coffee or alcohol with just some electricity—and without the downsides.

Sometime later this year, instead of reaching for a cup of coffee to focus at work—or a beer to relax afterward—you might use a tiny electrode to zap your brain instead. How About Let's Not Re-Engineer The Planet, Or Maybe Let's?

Scientists consider all the awesome, sci-fi ways we might change the environment to stop climate change and decide it's not a great idea—mostly.

Of all the responses to climate change that involve actually doing something to stop it, the idea of geoengineering is the most radical—fixing the climate by tinkering with Earth's physical systems, rather than lowering the emissions that cause warming. Examples of these tactics include dispersing particles in Earth's upper atmosphere that would reflect more sunlight or even seeding the oceans with iron so they'll absorb more CO2.

A Museum Where You Can Go To Drink Beer

Designed by Form Us With Love, a new exhibition at Sweden's Spiritmuseum examines the history of brewing.

Sweden traditionally hasn't been a big destination for beer snobs. If you went to the pub, you'd pretty much be limited in choice by whether or not you wanted a big beer or a small one, according to Form Us With Love's Jonas Petterson. But as in the United States, over the past couple decades, craft brewing has exploded in Sweden. In 1988, there were only nine breweries in the country. Today, there are at least 145.

A Card Game Designed To Get Kids Off Their Butts

Ujinga, a new card game designed to help fight childhood obesity, requires kids to dance and jump around to win.

Childhood obesity rates have more than doubled in the past 30 years, no small thanks to increasing numbers of sedentary hours spent watching television or playing video games. Ujinga, a new card game designed by researchers at a top London hospital in collaboration with the Royal College of Art, aims to get kids moving. Whimsically illustrated by artist Tom Jennings, the 56 cards are printed with actions, like "zombie walk," "robot dance," "frog jumps," and "Gangnam style," which kids have to perform in order to score points in the "Survival of the Silliest."
