Do Gun Owners Need An App To Tell Them Where Anti-Gun-Violence Activists Live?

It's just the latest in a disturbing trend: Your address and phone numbers are now weapons.

On Thursday morning, a handful of anti-gun-violence activists realized there is an app in the Google Play Store with their names on it—literally. The app, Gunfree Geo Marker, features a map pinpointing the home and work addresses of politicians, gun control organization employees, and "random anti-gun trolls" who "push the anti-gun agenda in any way, shape or form."

Apple CEO Tim Cook is donating his entire fortune to charity. Well, minus his nephew's college education, that is. Cook joins an ever-growing list of wealthy philanthropists who have pledged nearly all their fortunes to charitable causes.

What does the Internet think about? More than just cats and Kim Kardashian, according to this interactive visualization. Funders and Founders crunched data from Ahrefs Content Explorer, which finds shared content on any topic, to unearth the most-shared articles from each top English-language media website in the world. Then, it visualized these articles as sections and thought bubbles in a cartoon man's mind.

Facebook doesn't want to live in your analog world. It wants you to move farther into its digital one.

In 10 years, Facebook would like anyone, anywhere, to be able to strap on a virtual reality headset and share moments with friends and family across the world. It's the vision of a digital utopia that Facebook reps shared onstage during the annual F8 conference. Northwestern Mutual Buys Finance Startup LearnVest For $250 Million

The site launched to help women manage their money. Now it's part of a financial giant.

Alexa von Tobel, whose startup LearnVest was featured on our list of the world's Most Innovative Companies, has sold her company to Northwestern Mutual for $250 million, according to Fortune. Not bad for a personal-finance startup.

Salesforce CEO Boycotts Indiana's Anti-Gay Law, Urges Others To Follow Suit

The new "religious freedom" law would open up Salesforce employees and customers to discrimination, says CEO Marc Benioff.

Marc Benioff is pissed. It didn't take long after the passage of Indiana's new "religious freedom" law for the Salesforce CEO and founder to take a stand. "We are canceling all programs that require our customers/employees to travel to Indiana to face discrimination," he wrote today.
