Why?

Is there such a thing as a Christian romance novel? Can Christians have romance? I've been scoffed at, laughed at, ridiculed, and basically mistreated because quite a few people don't understand what Christian romance is. Let's make this easy to understand.
A Christian romance novel is a fictitious account of love between a man and woman with Godly principles. Without all the objectionable material. A Christian romance novel should be a book that you wouldn't be embarrassed about and have to hide if your preacher came unexpectedly to your front door.
Did I write this because I think I'm better than others? Of course not! Don't be silly! Do I have regrets? Did I make mistakes? Of course I did ~ and still do. But see, that's my point. I don't want my children making the same mistakes I did. I want to shield them from heartaches ~ because that's what parents do. I wrote this book as a love note to my children.
So, this is what happened. After I had completed my novel, I was excited and I told my dear hubby. He proudly smiled, and without missing a beat, asked me to try to have it published. And, now you know the rest of the story. Hopefully, this will help those of you who don't really understand what a Christian romance novel is.
Have a marvelous week! And, if you'd like to order more than one book, please message me, and I'll give you a discount!

Review of A Beggars Purse

My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I'm not much of a memoir reader, but this book made me feel as if I knew Toni. Her feelings and struggles with important, life-changing issues ~ moving to a new town, her normal reaction to hobo's, etc. drew me in. Poignant and heart-felt, this book is a gentle reminder of what God can do with a willing heart and a willing attitude.

We Have a Winner!
I'd like to congratulate
Jamie Word
for being the winner of the

gift certificate! Way to go Jamie! I'll get that out to you as soon as possible ~ congratulations, and thank you for leaving a review on Amazon.com! Our next contest will be announced soon, so keep your eyes peeled. ;)
Our next stop on our book tour will be this weekend, October 8th-9th at the Goats, Music & More Festival in Lewisburg, TN. You'll find more information about the event here. We've gone to this in the past as visitors, so this will be our first visit as an actual vendor. Our first year, we were walking around looking at all the goats, and our two young children were trying to scare them to make them 'faint'. It was a lot of fun ~ we look forward to being a part of it this time around.
Take a look at the video:
This past weekend, we were at the Autumn Street Fair in McMinnville, TN. If you were unable to make it, you really missed out. A big variety of vendors - from the usual, like jewelry and Avon, to the unusual like solar yard lights and engraved stones. It was a bunch of fun ---> thanks to all that made it fun!
