R. Handler enjoys writing sweet(ish), morally gray characters who are obsessed with their partners. She believes characters that might operate outside the traditional boundaries of right and wrong also deserve heartfelt, happily-ever-afters, which are what got her into reading in the first place. After receiving a bachelor’s degree in English, she settled down in her hometown in Virginia with her husband and four cats. When not writing, she enjoys reading and tending to the plants that always find a way into her books. Watching Ames is her debut novel.
