The Infinite Field of Possibility

I smile at the trendy term, “turn it over to the universe” as if it is some big cosmic dumpster that is standing by to fix your mess. But the truth is that it is a place where we can create a masterpiece of life understanding its magical properties. On the evening of August 26th, 201o my life changed when a beam of light hit me. It was kind of like the story in the movie Phenomenon with John Travolta. From that moment on, I saw the world different than I had seen it before. It was beyond remarkable, as I saw triangles everywhere, swirling in every shape and size and they were all connected. What soon became clear was the realization that I was connected to everything. It was such a striking discovery that I have immersed myself in the study of the underlying theories of the universe for almost seven years now. I learned some very profound lessons about the Universe that I want to share with you.

1.) The universe is a divine consciousness that surrounds us in a field of energy.  Life is formed by this unseen (to most) vibrational force that through frequency causes creation. This power is within us and forms a part of every human being.

2.) Our connection to this field means that we are all able to access it. The key to accessing the field is through intention. Placing an intention into the field is like sending a signal. This is why it is so important to insure that our intentions are clear, precise and from our heart.

3.) With this knowledge of how to access and direct the energy from this field, we can harness a power to heal ourselves and others and  tip the scale of our life back into balance.  The universe is a self organizing intelligence more powerful than we can understand, just think, it can turn an embryo into a human.

4.) Universal energy vibrates through our heart thousands of times per day and supports the creation of over sixty million cells per minute that interact with biological chemicals every second. This is the same energy that created the cosmos and is the vortex that keeps planets spinning around the sun and bees buzzing on flowers.

5.) It is a sea of holographic records, that is like a hard drive holds all the records and the history of everything that ever existed.

6.) The universe is designed like a mirror, everything that exists in it, is reflected. This means that our external environment is a reflection of our internal environment and therefore the responsibility for our reflective signal comes from within us.

7.) The frequency that the universe operates on is unconditional love, something that few of us have any sense of which keeps us disconnected from the field. Through gratitude and forgiveness we have the capacity to reach a level of consciousness that aligns with the universal flow.

8.) Our current scientific framework does not explain the quantum aspects of the universe and there is reluctance to embrace new ideas that could contribute to a alternative view of our own biology and interaction with the field. Most mathematical theories cannot prove the behavior of the universe and its reaction with humanity.

9.)  There are numerous patterns that are common throughout the structure of the universe. Nature is a reflection of these patterns in plants and structures like crystals.

10.) Can we hear the universe? Om is a vibration and is said to be related to the frequency of energy that connects all things in the universe. In the old testament of the bible the gospel of Joh says “In the beginning was the word”. This is the sound of Om which is said to be a tool of meditation to know the God within.

The challenge is to align our personal vibration to match the optimized version of the universe. This connection is where we can make magic. Many people never ask the bigger questions to understand this nor look to the source of this organizing system for answers in how to live in these higher vibrational energies. Here is where you will find the ultimate field of possibility.\

One of my favorite things to work with in connecting to the universe is an ammonite fossil. You can read more about Ammonite on the Healing Crystal Website HERE.

Top ten things people feel guilty about

Most everyone who will read this article feels guilty about something. Living life on planet earth will give you many opportunities to feel guilty.

Here are the top ten reasons people feel guilty:

1.) Things said at a moment of being stressed out, tired or under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

2.) Not taking the time to be with our children, our parents or our grandparents.

3.) Financial obligations left unpaid.

4.) Failed friendships and marriages.

5.) Behaviors that are unbecoming because of societal standards.

6.) All the things we should of, would of, could of done.

7.) The circumstances of the death of someone close to us.

8.) Physically or verbally abusing another person or being abused.

9.) What we eat.

10.) Religion and its perception of “sin”.

If you analyze this list, everything occurs in the past, everything. This means that we no longer have any control about what happened, none. Yet, we spend hours and hours beating ourself up out something that we have no control over. What a waste of time, especially when life is an unavoidable guilt trip.

Guilt is the result of negativity and judgement and a convoluted system of perfection standards serving only to weaken us. Why not just make a decision to be better than the past and move on? The problem is that the mind wants resolution and there is no resolution in the past so for relief we must stop believing what we think.

Guilt is heavy, it weighs a ton on our minds and our bodies. It can be the biggest burden we are carrying around. So as a part of your healing plan, we will need to cut the etheric cord to these events and allow the emotional body to heal.

The best way to remove guilt is to look at the person we are now. Have we learned from our mistakes and actions? If so, great, now realize that the past is the past, accept that we cannot undo it and embrace acceptance. If not, take the time to analyze how we could have done better and what were the emotions that got us to that moment and how can we better control those emotions now? To help with acceptance realize that we did the best that we could have at the time. Maybe we were acting out of fear and survival and did not do things well. Stress can also play a huge role in how we handle situations, so take a dose of realization to help in moving on. Realize the value of what happened and that we could never be the person we are without these events in our life. Through the pain and suffering we become more passionate and these situations can help us to be a better and more successful person in the next opportunity.

PRACTICE:

Identify your biggest regret. Sit quietly. Bring the situation into your mind. Place the stone sodalite on your heart. As the situation becomes clear in your mind start to go in reverse of what happened, unwind the tape in your head. Go back to the moment before the event occurred. Now move the heart vibration through the crystal and out into the unwound scene of the guilty moment. Ask the universe to clean all of the negative thoughts and hurtful feelings from that moment. Share the power of your heart with the person that you have guilty feeling about and place the intention that they are healed and that your sadness is removed. Thank your spirit guides for helping you.

Apache Tears – A stone for grieving

The apache tears stones are found scattered around the southwest U.S. and Mexico. It is a type of obsidian with softer and gentler characteristics. The name is derived from a sad story of the Coyote, Tonto and Pinal Indians who were all Apaches living on top of Big Picacho mountain, a place they felt safe and hidden. In July of 1870, General Stoneman of the U.S. cavalry was sent to establish an outpost in that area. It was a difficult winter and hunting and gathering was a struggle for the Apaches. The buffalo and vegetation were scarce and there was a sense of desperation so the Indians made several raids on the nearby settlements. In retaliation the cavalry and some local ranchers went to search for the Apaches and found the hidden trail to the mountaintop and their camp.

The Apaches were surprised by this attack and within a short time almost 50 Apaches were killed while the rest retreated near the edge of the cliff. At that moment they chose death by riding their horses over the edge than to die in the arms of the white man leaving the women to grieve. The wives and families of the warriors cried when they witnessed this great tragedy and legend says that their tears turned into stone upon hitting the ground.

There is a saying that if you carry this stone around you will never cry again since the apache women who cried this stone have done all of the crying for you. I have a great affinity to the Apache Tear as it was a very helpful stone in softening the grief I experienced when I lost my husband. This wonderful stone can bring much so much support during sorrowful times and will gently help you to accept the loss. It is a stone of great hope that it is time for a new plan of action after a traumatic experience

The energies of the Apache Tears run deep into the heart center and help to extract old and simmering issues of emotional conflicts and also will remove relationships that are not

harmonious and encourage the search for joy in others that support you. They do not battle negative energy but instead move it along without the need for confrontation.

They are also wonderful in absorbing ALOT of negativity which is why they should be cleaned frequently. They are wonderful detox stones first helping to strengthen the blood and immune system and helping with the assimilation of vitamins and then removing toxins. This results in a greater vitality. It would be the perfect stone for someone who works in a trauma center to keep themselves cleared. A bowl of apache tears would be a great idea when working with the sick and dying, keeping you clear but able to help those in need. They are like little sponges as they soak up negative energies.

This is the perfect stone to put in your pocket or wear when you will be involved in a difficult conversation, like telling your boss about issues they do not want to face or needing to have a heart to heart conversation in an important relationship. Apache tears will strengthen your conversation so that there is less conflict and a more constructive way of dealing with matters.  It will not banish negative energy but soften it, keeping things from becoming harsh and frustrating.

Native Americans often combine Apache tears with Turquoise to add a happy tone to it, boosting the energy after absorbing the pain and suffering. Turquoise will help you to receive the support of others and help in opening up the channels of communication for better understanding.

Is it time to dump my toxic job?

Often your thoughts of leaving or being fired from a job can be more stressful than your toxic job,  so you find yourself caught in a toxic sandwich, do I stay or do I leave and what if I get fired? These thoughts of the unknown can play havoc with possibility as your brain day by day puts out the light on the vision of you doing something else. Stress can be debilitating and keep us in the grind for years, never able to see or reflect on the alternative.

These toxic thoughts just keep coming:

1.) I could never leave this job, everything would fall apart, they need me too much.

2.) I am too old to leave this job, I would lose my benefits.

3.) I would never find another job.

4.) My life would be ruined, I would lose my home and my lifestyle.

5.) I would never survive.

6.) I would be seen as a failure

7.) I do not have any other options.

8.) I will be penniless and living on the streets.

9.) My kids would not respect me.

10.) I would destroy all of my expectations of a life well lived.

Wow, that is heavy, I mean really heavy and all because of a job? There is nothing here that remotely implies that leaving a job or even beginning to look for another one would or could be a positive experience. Because of this commonly held thinking,  I rarely hear a client say, I think I will leave my job and skip through the tulips of happiness and see how it goes, never. Instead I see people sitting in their gloom and doom pity party behind the four walls of a cubicle, waiting for happy hour.

The most important thing we need when we want to make a change is a thriving throat chakra, some good friends and acquaintances, a call to a reputable head hunter, some community get togethers and the desire to show up. Start saving up for ninety days of salary and volunteer. I have seen more people find jobs by volunteering.

The next most important thing is to bust all the beliefs that you do not have the money, could never pay your expenses and that you might lose everything, la di da di da, he same old melody playing over and over in your head. This is also the same old story that has probably kept you in this worthless job for years.

Toss out your story and choose freedom and walk into the world without fear and with your heart wide open.  When you  are willing to lose everything you build a basket ready for abundance and life meets you there.

Visualize happiness instead of misery and failure, does your body even know what that feels like? Instead of shame and embarrassment and self-criticism why not try on a vision of a stimulating career with supportive people working with you. The universe cannot provide if it doesn’t even know what it looks like.

Feel the excitement of a change, see different possibilities and create a new life, aligned with your true purpose. See change as a new adventure. Downsize your life to afford more and feel more abundant and take time for you, the best investment of all.

Lastly, question toxic thoughts and do not fall victim to their agonizing outcome. Focus on happiness not money and build a value system on what really matters. Bust your beliefs and change your world.

The Fine Art of Being a Friend

Our life’s journey is about connection to others and friendships are sparkling baubles we accumulate along the way, but there is an art to good friendships which is why many friendships fail and sputter out or simply disappear.

So what is the fine art of friendship?

Here my top ten rules about being a good friend.

1.) Your friend always, always, always wants the best for you in every single situation of your life. If you become insanely rich and achieve the best of everything your friend should not have one ounce of jealousy. They should genuinely celebrate you and your success and expect nothing but your friendship.

2.) Your friend should be your head cheerleader! When everyone else is saying no, be the friend who says “yes you can do it”. Saying no means you doubt the capacity of your friend to achieve greatness.

3.) Be brutally honest and whatever is said between the two of you – DO NOT TAKE IT PERSONALLY. This is a deal killer in most relationships and means there is a kink in trusting each other. Remember that both parties to a friendship are always in a learning process, trying to be a better friend.

4.) You are not in a competition! Loving and caring about someone is not a race or a social grab or a fight for the limelight. When your friend is being honored for their achievements be in the front row, clapping and waving and whistling, that’s what friends are for.

5.) Respect is a non-negotiable piece that cannot be compromised. Any hint of gossiping or dragging someone through the mud is a breach of trust. Just as you protect your spouse and family, you protect your friend and you are not a sounding board for others to throw your friend under the bus. Being impeccable with what is discussed with others is vital to long-term success.

6.) Be honest with your feelings. If you know you have hurt your friend make it right.

7.) Invest time and effort. Take a road trip,  a girls weekend, go shopping, goof off and celebrate what you love about each other.

8.) Show up! If a friend is struggling and needs your help adjust your priorities and get to their side.

9.) Accept them for who they are. Over the years we change and evolve. Honor change and embrace their new point of view.

10.) Engage in small gestures, a phone call, a note about how you feel about them or a simple check in to be sure that all is going well.

A good friend will run to your side if you need support. They are there for mourning and for times of strife and trouble. Good friendships are like beautiful gardens though, you must water them, nourish them and show up and they will bring you a lifetime of beauty and support.

A comprehensive approach to detoxing your life!!

April is my month for major detox, but I am not speaking just about the body here. I am talking about your life. Cleansing and detoxing has been around since the time of Hippocrates and should be an integral part of taking care of you. Toxins are any substance that your body does not use and is harmful. The accumulation of too many toxins in your body can cause digestive problems, fatigue, headaches and skin conditions. Most of the toxins in your body are stored in your fat cells, so as you lose fat, you lose toxins and the body needs help to move them out!

Here is my four week approach to a life detox:

My favorite detox kits are from the Global Healing Center. Go here to purchase the Body Cleanse Advance Kit. On their website you will find a ton of videos about why you should detox, the health benefits and a helpful guide called the Green Body Cleanse and  lots of tips about how to restore your health.

Stop by the grocery store and be sure you have plenty of  garbage bags and some apple cider vinegar. Next stop, head to the office supply store and get some folders, file boxes, labels and whatever else you need for organization. You will also need a notebook or journal so if you do not have one, pick one up. Next, go to your calendar and schedule a 30 minute meditation upon waking every day. For a guided meditation you can download or purchase my meditation CD here.  Lastly, go to your calendar and schedule four hours per week for your life detox projects. This will mean 16 hours dedicated to the cause during one month.

Begin the body cleanse, following the instructions precisely as indicated. Start writing in your journal, take note about how you are feeling, what does your stomach feel like? your brain? your energy levels? It is important to create a baseline so that you can monitor your progress throughout the month. You will see dramatic changes so take note of the differences. Three times per week you will take a medicated bath with three cups of epsom salts, one cup of baking soda and several drops of one of the following oils, choose depending on your needs:

. Place 12 drops of your favorite essential oil from the list below:

Your next project is to go to your garage and get rid of all toxic products you have stored there. Everything that you will use in your home from now on should be environmentally friendly especially to the insect world. Eliminate toxic pesticides, motor fluids and anything else that is taking up toxic space.

Here is a good video about pesticides. Now head for the kitchen and where you store your cleaning supplies. Check the labels to insure that they are all non toxic too. Whatever doesn’t meet the scrutiny, throw them out! Here is a link to where I buy my cleaning products at a great price, shipping included and they deliver to your front door. You can also make your own cleaning supplies. Doterra has awesome recipes here. Another area that is often missed is your clothing so next we go to the laundry room. Be absolutely sure that your detergents are not toxic and forget the toxic dryer sheets, yuk! Instead, get some dryer balls and simply place some drops of essential oils on them and throw them in the dryer. My favorite laundry products are Molly’s Suds.

Continue your detox meditation, removing toxic thoughts and past traumas from the body. You can read more about thaHERE

We are now heading to your cosmetic drawer to check everything that you put on your skin. Print out this list and take it with you to examine the labels to see if any of these toxin are in your cosmetics. If so, throw it out. The price you pay in poor health is way more than the price of anything with toxins in it. By now you have finished your cleanse and started dumping the sludge from your system and it is time to schedule a colonic. Colonics will remove old fecal matter and the accumulation of waste on the walls of your colon to prevent a breeding ground for parasites, yeast, bad bacteria and viruses. It will also help to remove toxic chemicals that we are exposed to every day from foods we eat, water, air, stress and using the wrong products. It is always best to find a seasoned practitioner who can explain the process and get you the best results.

Take a hard look at the people in your life and start making cuts. Although our culture says that you are suppose to hang in there with family, sometimes it is okay to distance yourself if their energy is detrimental. If you are a constant victim of judging, if they are disrespectful and share private information with other family members or only pick up the phone when they need something then it is time to call it quits. Removing them from your life and your mind will leave a bigger space for more loving and kinder people to show up. Holding on, can mean an emotional drain leaving you sick and tired. Your thoughts and beliefs can be the most toxic things you carry around with you. Here is a great article for what crystals to use you in that effort. It may also be time to visit forgiveness and move on, click here for support.

Getting uncluttered on all levels and with a clean slate start over and get over what you have been wrongly hanging on to.

The Journey to Joy,

Lori

The Stones of Forgiveness

“If you dig a pit for others to fall into, you will fall into it yourself.”  Rumi
The path to forgiveness can be a “mind field” as you avoid stepping on your bombs of expectations that you have placed along the way. The mind despises forgiveness as it wants to hold on to every detail of what happened. This judge and jury loves to juggle the past and the grievances of what happened, tossing and turning them over and over in your mind.
The key to forgiveness is accepting that something happened and realizing that your expectations were blasted. It is letting go of the past and the stupidity of perceiving it is something that belongs to you. Many of us have been know to sit in the judging of it all for years.
“She should have done this, he could have done that, they intentionally did this to me, how dare they.”
Working on forgiveness is an elixir of freedom and can release the soul to flourish instead of affecting our life, family and friends. Carrying around a lack of forgiveness can ruin the next relationship and keep walls around you , keeping you confined in giving yourself to others in your greatest way. A lack of forgiveness kills your inner fire. There is no power in hanging on to “stuff”, it is a fallacy to think creating a shrine with all the hurts, pains and blame will heal you.
I believe that the universe is much better at settling the score. There is not enough wisdom in my mind to right wrongs or shake things up and have everything land in its perfect place. The mystical world holds the answers and the essence of healing as it leans into balance of all who come in and out of our lives. There are depths of misunderstanding that our beliefs create which are not even real. We argue over differences that do not exist. The complexities of our humanness emerges and we create boundaries of wounds.
To heal ourselves we need to go back to the past and see our wounds as something that is keeping us from wholeness. To help support this effort, here are two stones that will take you to the comfort of your inner self where you can find the formula to forgiveness. These stones cut through to the truth and realize that the voice of peace is no longer in conflict with anything anymore.
Green Calcite:
This will go after the mental, helping to balance you between right and wrong, guilt or no guilt. It will clear out the old patterns and make room

for new thinking. It  blasts the expectations that gets you to statements like
“I trusted that person”,
“In my world people do not do things like that”.
These phrases represent expectations that lead to beliefs systems that create toxic threads. We must leave these beliefs behind and bust the  blockages in our heart. The mind cannot help you heal, only the heart can move you to change. Our thoughts limit our ability to forgive so they must be eliminated from the equation. When the heart takes the lead you can step out of pain and harmonize the mental with the emotional. Green Calcite will create the environment for this balance and is a great choice when your stubborn mind wants to dwell on hurting that person instead of letting go. Calcite supports change. Suffering is your decision and self imposed as you dwell on the injustice because of your pride and interpretation of what happened to you. So, it is time to let go of a position that is flawed. Sometimes people were not meant be in our lives forever, letting go may just be part of the bigger plan and by not seeing the larger picture we suffer in the smallness of our minds.
Blue Lace Agate:
This is the stone and remedy for unchecked emotions and fiery tempers. It is the cool water on a hot fire. When the aggressivity and fear needs to be toned down blue lace agate helps us to create an equilibrium so that fear, anger, worry and depression are diminished. Blue agate changes our expression to a tone that is calm and peaceful. Conflict dissolves.

When resolving forgiveness you need to go deep for lasting change. Forgiveness does not reveal itself easily as events compel us to ferment the emotional pain. Blue Lace Agate will help us to grow out of our thinking and points of view and find love in the heart of ourselves and others. It clears what we need to forgive and paves the way to add to the richness and joy that has been lingering around, waiting for us to release suffering. Forgiveness comes easily when we rise above our emotions and choose gratitude as a step on our spiritual journey. When we widen the perspective and stop punishing ourselves and others, blue lace agate frees us from the heartbreak of not forgiving.
Practice:
Select a forgiveness stone that most resonates with you. Think of the situation that you are trying to resolve. It can be a person, institution or scene. Always cleanse your stone prior to doing any work. Begin with your stone on your heart and focus on your heart beat. While thinking of the scene, focus on where there is a physical sensation in the body. Where is the anger? where is the pain? suffering? Wherever you find the discomfort, move the stone to that place and begin to breath and with the intention of removing the energy related to the pain, begin to dissolve and dissipate this.

Repeat this mantra: In forgiving myself, I forgive others.
Then move your hand back to your heart and ask your heartbeat to carry your forgiveness and clearing to the event or person.
Walk with this forgiveness and repeat this exercise if you are still hanging on.
The journey to joy awaits you. Visit www.lorimorrison.com for more tips on finding joy.

Connecting to a higher source with two powerful crystals

Sometimes with our everyday grind it is hard to hold on to the perception that we are connected to a vast universe. This universe is our home and place of creation before coming to earth. Here is where our source/creator/God resides, is the heartbeat of our existence and divine consciousness. Many have lost their connection with source which can lead to an unbalanced life and purpose. We struggle to “get it together” not knowing that the real culprit our internal GPS is malfunctioning making it hard to see the next steps. We can feel stuck and weary, ready to give up, these are signs that you need to reconnect to source.

So how do you do that?

1.) Start a meditation practice NOW. Getting quiet is the best way to find SOURCE. You may be surprised to find that THE SOURCE  is alive and well and inside of you. From there you can realize that everything around you is SOURCE and that you are infinitely connected to this divine source. This full realization will put you back in alignment.

2.) You can work with crystals through your meditations to connect to source.  The mineral world carries the magic frequencies to reset your personal energy field and remind your physical body of its connection to this powerful source.

These are the two crystals that are especially helpful in getting you back to source:

Topaz: Topaz comes in many colors; brown, green, blue, pink, purple, red and colorless. Its structure is like a four sided crystal and it is all about balance. It is the perfect stone for aligning body, mind and spirit. This alignment is necessary to connect to source and the higher aspects of you. Topaz is also helpful to see past the limitations of our mind, and in doing so we can start to align with our true self, the one that knows and remembers our connection to SOURCE. Topaz is great for building proper boundaries and getting us to the word NO! It helps to keep us focused on self care and is a reminder that we are our own first priority. When you want to change your life, topaz is the strength to create a new reality as it is a powerful tool for opening the doors to manifesting your heart desires. It can move you to action to create change by powering up your intentions in the ultimate field of possibility.

Here is a great selection of Topaz at Healing Crystals my favorite online store.

Pietersite: This stone is a swirling of colors, reminiscent of a storm. Golds, browns, grays, blues and pinks are all blended into this multicolored specimen that comes from Namibia. With its stormy nature, it can be a hurricane force of energy to sweep out stagnant energies and bring positive flow back to the ethereal body. It is grounding and clearing at the same time. These qualities give this stone the power to purge through lower energies leaving you with a greater sense of power. Through its whirlwind force it will bring the truth to the surface which will help you to gain insight about yourself and your life purpose. This powerful stone helps you to wipe out obstacles and begin to awaken your spiritual gifts. It is the stone of change and transformation when you are ready to get out of a rut. Its most powerful attribute is the ability to wipe out all the programming from the voices of “authority” that you have had in your ear, molding and scolding. The most important element to remove in order to connect to source are your fears and Pietersite addresses fear head on, helping us to realize that we are more powerful than we think. You can find some high vibrational Pietersite at my favorite online store here at Healing Crystals.

The other key to alignment with the divine, is the ability to remove all beliefs, fears and the perception of obstacles due to the conditioning of the human experience. The more cleared out, the more opportunity we have to become a vessel for receiving the highest vibration from SOURCE.  Only with this connection can we begin to manifest and create the life that we dream of.

Practice: After you have acquired these two crystals, lay down with your head propped up and place the Pietersite on your solar plexus, a grounding stone such as hematite or obsidian at your feet and the topaz on your heart. State your intention to clear and align your energy field. Start the tree of life meditation CD and follow the guided instructions by first anchoring into mother earth through your grounding stone. On each one of your chakras focus on the removal of all the thoughts, beliefs, commentary, obstacles that you have stored in your field. As the music vibrates into each chakra, imagine them spinning counter clockwise removing everything that does not serve you.  When you have reached the top or crown chakra, picture white light flowing into your body and spinning the chakras now in a clock wise position until finished, arriving back at your grounding stone. Get up and go about your day, connected to source!!

Crystals for Emotional Detox

Our past can be full of experiences and beliefs that accumulate in our body and mind dominating our thoughts and response to things. Returning to a state of wholeness requires releasing the toxic emotions that have taken up residence in our heart and mind. Pain and suffering can remain lodged in our body for a lifetime creating a challenge in returning to wholeness. Crystals can be a brilliant helper to process emotions, stagnant memories and limited beliefs that have accumulated and now affect the integrity of your physical and non-physical body. It can be difficult to let go of our “stuff”. Hearts can carry a heavy burden and over time feel smothered as it may feel as if there is a brick on your chest. This heaviness is often the layers and layer of emotional “lasagne” that has accumulated through your lifetime. If you are weary and feel overburdened it may be time to take a concerted effort to release what no longer is serving you and step into the light of your true being.

Your emotions are held in seven different energy centers or chakras in your body. Much of what creates anxiety and fear is held in your solar plexus. It can be a place for stored memories all attributing to our reaction of the world around us. If this area is “stuck” it will inhibit the flow of energy from rising into the heart where we have the highest vibration. The best solution for release is surrender, realizing that we can control very little about our lives and that the beauty of life is accepting what you cannot change and going with the flow. Another energy center that can be stuck is the throat chakra. If you are a person that does not speak your mind and keeps everything inside your throat chakra may be compromised and will not be moving out negative energies. When energy is stuck, the issues are in the tissues and you may experience physical or mental pain. To be healthy we need to release all that is not serving our highest good.

Here are the three stones that I feel are best suited for releasing emotions.

Aquamarine:

Aquamarine is a vibrant stone with the soothing colors of blue and green. It takes its name from the ocean whose influence it embodies as well. Like waves, it helps emotions to flow in and flow out of our body. It encourages us to seek calm and learn to relax helping us on our path to surrender. It can be a helpful ally in releasing pain and creating a sense of flow so that the universal energies of love can sweep through the body replacing the density of negative emotions. It allows change and the release of ideas that keep us stuck. It has a sense of liquidity, like the ocean which seeps into our being and carries out what has been hiding below the surface of our mind. It knows what to take with it to rejuvenate the body, mind and soul. When I need to move out stubborn thoughts and ideas I place an aquamarine in my water and sip away, allowing it to vibrate its soothing purpose throughout my being.

Citrine:

Citrine is a uplifting stone with a yellow, brown and golden tint. The lighter the citrine, the more light it brings. Citrine is about detoxing and eliminating on all levels. By releasing tensions that keep a steady grip on the emotions we store it can begin to move out energies and help to align with our original human purpose, free of conditioning. It is the key to abundance and a healthy existence. It is a belief buster destroying patterns of thought that stifle our view of possibility, bringing back to us a sense of alignment with all things. It opens pathways like the lungs and tight muscles allowing us to unwind from what we have been holding on to, often for years. It will give us a sense of calm as change takes place as trapped emotions make their way out of our body. Ride the wave of citrine energies to release trauma by drawing oout the pain and start the process of healthy integration

Malachite:

Malachite is associated with copper and its exuberant green aligns with the colors of the heart chakra. With its copper content it is a conduit of energy, a super freeway of energy strands that can move things along with little effort. Watch as pain is removed and balance is restored by using Malachite. It holds the memory of the heartbeat of the universe so that when we are disconnected from source it will remind the heart of unconditional love and higher vibration. This rhythm will place us back into synchronicity with the heart field and nourish us in love and emotional well being. It will purge every barrier to this field and will take on any resistance to giving and receiving love. It will dive deep into the recesses where toxic emotions are held and draw them out to be released. What ever is suppressed malachite will find and send it on its way.

Spiritual Weight Loss – Finding the Hunger Hormone

The holiday season had me toggling between peppermint bark and gingerbread, as my cravings had decided that I deserved all the delights of Christmas past. I had earned the right to Almond Roca and it was time to cash in. As the cravings kept growing I was realizing that cravings were really the ultimate saboteur of my 100 pound weight loss. I had defined my enemy.  I decided that unless I dug deeper into the black lagoon of chemical brain imbalances I might never find the monster. I consulted a doctor with expertise in cravings and unbalance. Off to the lab I went. What secret wisdom would I find swarming through my veins? As the technician strapped up my arm, I thought I would see candy canes filling the test tubes.  They pulled out seven vials of blood,  I waited for the results.

The verdict came in, I have severe Leptin resistance. I googled Leptin and found a treasure trove of information and the symptoms lined up like a hole in one. Had I found the holy grail of my struggle? As usual, give me a diagnosis and my Kindle was flooded with books and authors and experts on Leptin.

So what is Leptin resistance?

Well, it is a bodies software issue. Leptin is a substance created in my fat cells that is the ultimate appetite regulator. It is like the spokesperson of my fat cells warning my brain of potential starvation, telling me how much to eat and how and where to go to burn fat for energy. My problem is that with the high levels of leptin circulating in my blood I no longer responded to appetite or energy expenditures and commands. I realized that my good intentions were in conflict with my chemistry and I had been abandoned by my body and was alone  with a sign “leptin out of order” hanging around my neck. This explained why every time I would lose 30 pounds, my system would go into survival mode and fight me to the death to put the weight back on.

No one really knows why Leptin stops functioning properly but it is extremely common in overweight people. The symptoms are constant cravings and feelings of hunger that are truly overwhelming. I asked the doctor for the magic formula to fix it and he said the outcome was bleak, there is no real known highly successful solution to jumpstart my leptin. So, like a terminal cancer would I be in a fight of my life, the rest of my life, with cravings? Just that thought was enough for another piece of Christmas fudge.

A part of me was relieved, I can handle the truth I thought, but I needed the nuclear option. My doctor explained that like with any dysfunctional system it would require an overhaul and that he had what he believed is the only plan available to reset Leptin. I took his ideas to my physicians assistant and she enthusiastically embraced the plan. She felt it could work. So, I am not on a diet but instead a Leptin reset program. I was given six months to see if it works.

It is now three weeks and I have lost ten pounds and my cravings are way down. More importantly my appetite has been reduced by half. This has also reduced my anxiety about eating. The reset plan is in full swing and it seems to be working. I know everyone is going to want to know what I am doing, the magic pills I am taking, etc. but I cannot endorse something that I have not seen to the finish line so that information will come along. so hang in there with me as we are going on a Leptin ride. All I can say now is educate yourself about Leptin before you keep losing weight that you cannot keep off. Go to your nearest lab and get tested for Leptin resistance as it can hold the key to what fails you.

Here are the supplements that I am taking:

Vitamin B-12: Shots are best but sublingual can work for some patients.

Vitamin D3 + Vitamin K2: To replace deficiencies and promote the proper calcium regulation in the body.

Berberine + Alpha Lipoic Acid: Helps to treat insulin resistance and lower blood sugar levels.

Krill Oil: Helps to balance Omega 3:6 ratio and reduce inflammation.

Support for Adrenals.

It is important to know that supplements can boost results, but if your leptin levels are as high as mine, it is unlikely that supplements by themselves will be enough to treat the problem. They are only a part of the treatment plan.

It is my goal to bring this treatment to many of you who are going through the yo yo of dieting. If you are interested in knowing more, send an email to lori@lorimorrison.com and we can share what is working. Because I am going to get to the bottom of it, sooner than later.
