Day #7 Scavenger Hunt for Contest

I've met quite a few YA authors at RT last year, and all of them were awesome. I've found YA authors are super snarky, fun, and love teens (probably because we never grew up), which makes it fun.

Day #6 Scavenger Hunt for Contest

HAPPY HALLOWEEN (late ... sorry) (from the biggest fraidy cat of them ALL)!

It's ironic that I of all people would have vampires in my stories, but hey... I know where they are at all times in my world and you don't. Muahahaa.

Today we have a review at Sam the Bookaholic. Luckily the review is spoiler free for those who might not have read or listened to The Emerald Talisman yet. What are you waiting for??? QUESTION #6How many stars did the review get?For fun, what was the best Halloween costume you're ever worn or seen?
Mine? I wore a crown and homecoming queen sash to work. My new boss of 5 days forgot it was Halloween and gave me the weirdest look when I came to work. I didn't know she'd had so many wacky interviewees and questioned hiring me! Luckily we had a good laugh about it later.

Scavenger Hunt Question #5 for Giveaway Contest

It's Day #5 for the scavenger hunt of The Emerald Talisman audio book release tour where I give away children, cars, and diamonds! (just checking to see if you're awake. You can have my kids for a few hours. I do want them back.). Actually, I'm giving away cool stuff and it's easy to enter! So, today I'm hanging at Get Lost in Fiction (I LUFF your blog design, Crystal) and drooling at the graphics. Sorry. That's kind of gross, but this isn't the first time I've drooled while visiting and you'll have to see why HERE. I also talk about a typical writing day and what I've learned from writing The Emerald Talisman.

Here's my story: As a kid (this is going to age me), daily we drove by McDonalds. I always thought the sign said 760 Balloons sold daily (instead of billions). This made me wonder why I NEVER got a balloon when we visited.  Then, the silly ad people did a switcharoo on me and the sign was reprinted to say balloons and balloons. That really confused me. Not at the repetitiveness of it, but the fact that I'd yet to receive a balloon. Those silly ad people at McDonalds.

Scavenger Hunt Question #4 for the Giveaway Contest

See the Panda? Get it? Pandos. Panda. *snort* Okay... I know. Bad Monday morning joke. I'm a little punchy today. I haven't been able to write in four days and I'm losing my grip. It's for all good reasons. Mostly business catch-up, "other work" and important kid things (field trips and friend birthday parties). Besides being a full-time writer (well, 1/2-time writer, full-time mother/wife), I have a webdesign business and my clients do take priority (at times) and because of my cool "jobs" where I work in jammies, I actually look forward to Mondays... but, my 4-yr-old has a field trip at the pumpkin patch today, so... writing may not happen (sigh).

BUT! NANOWRIMO is coming Nov 1st and I'm gearing up to finish Everlost. I'm actually plotting this time, something I've resisted doing in prior books. The Plot Whisperer has changed everything. I've whispered and my plot is listening. Let's just hope it helps me organize my thoughts so I can get out books faster for your ravenous reading appetites!

Emerald Talisman Audio Book Tour starts TODAY!
