Indie Reads

I've added an ID for Indie Reads. This is the UK independent review site I do admin for and it's currently staffed by 3 female reviewers.

They don't review many books (and are not currently accepting submissions) but they do aim to be objective.

In order to share the books/reviews with a wider audience, I'm copying the reviews over here. We don't do star ratings so I'm giving each book 4 stars in order to post the review.

You can find Indie Reads via my friend list.

The Cat and the Cathedral

This afternoon I went to Exeter cathedral to research my forthcoming series of YA books (think Da Vinci Code for kids). Today I found myself chatting to the virger (for some reason that's how they spell verger). Just as well I went in there today because, due to reorganisation of relocating the library, they're shutting off the north transept which I feature quite a bit and making it into a temporary vestry for the next few months.

An extra bonus today - much excitement over birds high up on the south tower. I think they're peregrine falcons.
