Laugh-out-loud entertaining I just finished Lion and the Falcon by Eve Langlais. Her wordplay is terrific.
PAIRING JUST KEEP GETTING BETTER AND BETTER I just loved this entire series. I think because it was a bit on the bizzare side and totally quirky

Ysabel: (mutters) Great according to who?
Lucifer: (rotates his head, 180 degrees) I heard that.
Ysabel: (smirks) Good to know. A guy your age is prone to problems. First it’s the eyes, then the ears, then… (She drops her gaze to a spot below his belt)
Smoke begins to sift from Lucifer’s ears.
Remy: As if our mighty and wondrous lord would ever have that kind of problem.
Ysabel: (mutters) Suck up.
Remy: Ass kissing is a fine art, my witch. One you should know I excel at, or do you require another demonstration?
Lucifer: (perks up) I wouldn’t mind watching.
Ysabel: Dream on, demon.
Lucifer: You and Gaia are always ruining my fun.
Distant female voice: I heard that.
Lucifer: (scowls) Anyhow, back to the subject at hand, me and the awesome job I’m doing pairing up the vilest, most psychotic, deranged and irredeemable of my minions.

Remy: Thank you, boss. I knew you appreciated me and all my hard, ass kicking work.

With great age comes boredom, which suits Helen just fine until she goes looking for a new blood servant and finds herself intrigued. The wolf she brings home might want to tear her to pieces, but she’s determined to tame him. What she never expected was for him to turn the tables and capture her heart.
Despite the taboo nature of their relationship, he can’t kill her and she can’t let him go. Together, they will defy those who would deny their love, and kill the ones that threaten it.
High Intensity The other reviews describe the situation well enough, but I’d emphasize the incredible level of conflict and sexual tension between these characters
Keep going Eve! I have many books from Eve Langlais, but this one I always seem to fall back on when I need a good romantic werewolf/vampire tale

Human and Freakn’

Fate sure has a wicked sense of humor, trying to make Kendrick think the chubby human he meets in the jungle is his mate. Joke’s on him, though, because despite his preferences and attempts to stay away, he can’t help but fall for the tall and curvy Ruth. Harder to swallow, his buddy is falling for her too.
Joel knows firsthand how fickle human emotions are, but when he meets Ruth, all his best intentions get swallowed by the jungle as she worms her way into his heart – and makes him want to trust.
When Ruth’s human morals get in the way of two wolves and their need to claim what’s theirs, they’ll have to team up and show her two are so much more pleasurable than one.
My favorite Freakn’! While I liked the first two of the series, I have to say I loved this one the best.
Another fantastic addition to this great series. This is Kendrick’s story. I like Kendrick’s character. Kendrick & Joel are sent by their coalition to check on some missing girls.
