Bethany-Kris Visits With Her Sexy New Book!

Hello Bethany-Kris!  Thank you so much for visiting Written Butterfly with me today!  What a gorgeous cover for your release, Spray Paint Kisses!
*waves*
Hi there! Thanks for having me on today. And yes, the cover for Spray Paint Kisses is really great. Sour Cherry Designs did such an awesome job with it. I was so impressed considering my mind did a huge blank when asked what I wanted on it.

Q) How did you dream up the dynamics of your characters?
I don’t usually get the chance to dream up anything about my characters. They are all entities of their own making inside my head. One day they’re not there, the next, they are. When they are, they start talking. How old they are, what they look like, and the things they like/do. That sort of thing. They’re very insistent about having their story told the way they want it told, right down to dialogue and prose. Every character is different, some are more persistent than others. The only thing I ever really get to pick about my characters is their names, and I find that to be the hardest part.
Spray Paint Kisses wasn’t much different when it came to this. Gage was inspired by a young man in my hubby’s hometown, where the story actually takes place, and Summer was the pretty blonde on his arm, trying to find a place to call home.
Q) Are you, yourself an artist?  What drew you to the world of graffiti art?
I think being an author of fictional romances makes me an artist of one form. I certainly have a drive and desire to create with words, characters, and stories. I want people to feel something, experience the world I created, when they pick up my work. Writing is just my way of being creative and exploring the sometimes darker places inside my mind.
Graffiti art, or street art (really depends on who you ask), is something I’ve long since had a high respect for. When I lived in the city, it was everywhere, and new pieces could pop up overnight. Some pieces were less than stellar, and other tags were breathtakingly amazing. I always wondered who these artists were behind the work, but that’s kind of the culture of street art—or a part of it, anyway—being anonymous. Having the ability to get in, do the piece, and get out without ever being seen. I think that’s what really drew me in—the culture of it all. Learning the lingo and the rules, so to speak. Artists who have been deemed by other artists that their work is exceptional and practically untouchable are known to be called “Kings” and some even tag their work with that title instead of their own names. You can’t be deemed a King by just anyone, but only by another artist who has been given that respective title. There are some other interesting things, too, like the artists who strive to use only colors of spray paint that is no longer in production because it gives their work that much more of an original tag.
I have a Pinterestboard dedicated to graffiti art and other inspiration for Spray Paint Kissesthat features some of my favorite pieces I’ve found while scouring the internet for artists and their work.
Q) What are your upcoming projects?
Well, in late October, I will be self-publishing the final book in my Russian Guns series, titled The Score. Currently I’m focusing on getting the editing done for that and designing cover art … let’s not forget formatting.
Besides that, not much. My third son is due mid-November, and I’ve decided to take a couple of months break after The Score comes out to welcome my son into the world and give him the one on one time he needs with me, his brothers, and his father. So, a mini-vacation, I guess. From publishing, anyway. I do plan to keep writing. I have a WIP that is almost finished about a Navy SEAL and his estranged wife, and I also started another contemporary mafia series titled The Filthy Three that I hope to begin publishing starting with book one Filthy Ruins in January. I haven’t planned much further than those things. Ha ha.
Thanks so much for having me!
Spray Paint Kisses by Bethany-KrisGenre: Contemporary Erotic Romance, New AdultPublisher: Evernight PublishingRelease Date: August 20th, 2014Length: 26k – Short Story
Blurb: He’s left his mark everywhere. She’s still trying to find a place to leave hers.

Gage Masselin is a graffiti artist whose life has revolved around his art, and focused entirely on his career. He’s never needed a muse to get his inspiration flowing, so when an unexpected blonde-haired beauty knocks him out of his zone, he knows he’s in trouble.

Summer Davey is just a traveling girl with a gypsy’s soul. The one constant she has is her need to keep moving on. She’s never stayed in one place long enough to plant roots, never mind finding a man with spray paint kissing the tips of his fingers to make her heart beat faster.

She inspires him. He’s the first thing to ever feel like home.

Sometimes the hardest things to find in love and life are the easiest to lose.
Excerpt: “Isn’t that illegal?”
Gage Masselin nearly dropped the aerosol paint can when he heard the feminine voice. Whenever he was in the middle of creating a tag, he was in the zone. There were no sounds but the constant whoosh of the spray paint can’s nozzle and his rhythmic breathing. No distractions took him away from his art.
Well, usually.
Turning on his heel, Gage forgot about the black and white bandana he still wore around his lower face as a shield from the paint fumes. The material muffled his surprise as he came face to face with the prettiest damned thing he’d ever seen in his twenty-two years of life.
Long waves of golden hair were tied off to the side in a messy braid, falling over her front. There wasn’t a lick of makeup on her clear peaches and cream complexion. Standing in gladiator style sandals, ripped up jean shorts, and a faded band T-shirt, the girl could have been just about anyone.
Except she couldn’t. Gage’s tiny New Brunswick hometown was a blink and you’d miss it kind of place. Growing up in Plaster Rock gave him the ability to know everyone, even if he didn’t officially live there fulltime anymore. Thing was, people moved away, new people didn’t move there.
Everybody knew everyone else, or they thought they did. Gage didn’t know this girl.
“Uh …”
The girl smirked before waving in Gage’s direction. “Your face.”
His face?
What?
“My—”
Instantly, Gage realized what the girl meant. The bandana still covered the lower part of his face, including his mouth. He probably looked like some little hoodrat hiding in the alley, tagging the shit out of the high school library’s wall.
No wonder she thought he was doing something illegal.
Tugging down the bandana so it rested around his throat, Gage offered the girl a shrug in explanation. “Sorry, habit to wear it. I usually don’t have company when I’m painting, so no reason to have my mouth free to chat.”
“You mean an accomplice, right?”
“No, I mean company,” Gage replied with a smile.
“I didn’t realize graffiti had become legal.”
Oh, this girl had balls, or she just liked breaking them. Either way, Gage liked that.
“It’s not. That’s probably why I spent two years in juvenile hall.”
“Wouldn’t be juvie now, though.”
“No,” Gage said. “It’d be the pen. Good thing it’s legal. I’m not looking to spend any more time in a lockup.”
The girl still didn’t look convinced.
“Honest, sweetheart. See …” Gage pointed at the piece of official paper taped to the brick wall. If a cop happened to stop by, all he had to do was refer to that permit. “Gives me the right to be here slumming up this wall with my work. The school commissioned me to do the piece. It’s all on the legal side of things, promise.”
A small hand rested on her jutted out hip. The action caused Gage to let his eyes wander down the expanse of her creamy thighs and wonder if they felt as smooth and silky as they looked. They probably did. He bet she’d taste like salt, skin, and sin.
Shit, how short were those jean shorts of hers, anyway?
Short enough that they made Gage’s mouth a little dry just from staring.
Fucked, that’s what he was, and he didn’t even know her name.
“If you say so,” the girl mused.
Gage couldn’t help but tease. “What would you have done if I said it was illegal? Call the cops?”
“Nope.”
“That’s it?”
She smiled a blinding sight. “That’s it. It is pretty.”
“Uh, thanks?”
“You’re welcome.”
With one more glance at the bare bones of the mural just beginning to take form, the girl turned to leave. Gage was positive his heart leaped into his throat, creating a lump his words couldn’t make their way by.
“Wait!”
The darkened blue of her eyes glittered as she stared back. “Yeah?”
Gage forced himself to swallow the nerves beginning to form in his throat. Nervousness wasn’t like him at all. “You didn’t tell me your name.”
“You didn’t tell me yours, either.”
“Gage. It’s Gage.”
“Summer.”

Q & A with Jorja Lovett!

Hello Jorja!  Thank you so much for visiting Written Butterfly with me today!
Thanks for having me!
Q) How did you dream up the dynamics of your characters?
A) Andie came to me first, all buttoned up and seemingly incapable of having fun. I think there are elements of me in her. She's very misunderstood and beneath her tough shell she's a sweetheart. Of course, she needed someone to spar with, and who better than a hunk who lives life on the edge? Matt is full of mystery and it takes one determined lady to unravel the secrets which motivate his adrenaline-filled lifestyle.
Q) Do you have any habits that get you in the writing frame of mind?
A) I make sure I'm in my comfy clothes – yoga pants and sweatshirt - before I settle down to write. I have four important writing tools: notebook, pen, tea, and chocolate. And a quiet room away from two teenage boys is a must!
Q) What are your upcoming projects?
A) I've just released Pyramid of Passion, which is a time travel romance back to Ancient Egypt. I'm also working on a shifter ménage story which seems to have stalled now I've reached the bedroom…
Seduced by the Daredevil – Jorja LovettThanks for hosting me today, and sharing in the release new madness! Seduced by the Daredevil is available now and is a bit of a departure from my usual style. It started life as a medical romance, but there are definitely moments of rom com in there, as you can see from the excerpt… Blurb Sparks fly when 'Miss Stuffy Knickers' Andrea Bolan meets her match in daredevil Matt King. There's nothing quite like a passionate kiss to motivate a girl to jump off a building in the name of charity. With her inhibitions left far behind she begins to see the benefits of no-strings fun and sets her sights on her sexy abseiling instructor, but things don't go exactly to plan.

Adrenaline junkie Matt fights his demons by living his life on the edge and an uptight dietitian definitely isn't his usual type. But, when they're thrown together at work there's no denying the chemistry. Lust is easy for him to deal with, but he doesn't do commitment.

A sizzling affair catches them both by surprise but if they're not careful their pasts might just cost them any chance of future happiness.

ExcerptMatt was eternally grateful he had bought the apartment close by, overlooking the River Lagan. He had enough trouble keeping his hands off Andrea for the duration of the five-minute journey. Small talk with a driver in no obvious hurry was the last thing he wanted, with seduction on his mind. He held it together until they pulled up outside the apartment block.
"Cheers, mate." He threw a few notes through the window and pulled a giggling Andrea from the passenger seat.
Lust fuelled their journey and they half-ran to the entrance of the exclusive new complex. The few steps leading to his front door were taken in such a frenzied rush to reach their destination that Andrea stumbled on those impossibly high heels.
"Are you okay?" On autopilot, he knelt down to her crumpled position on the step and carefully removed her shoe to check for any swelling.
"I'm fine." She giggled again and held up the broken heel of her shoe.
"Thank goodness that's the only casualty," he said, and swept her, and the broken stiletto, up into his arms to carry her the rest of the way. With one hand fiddling with the lock and the other cradling Andrea close to him, who said men couldn't multitask?
Once inside, he set her back onto her feet and closed the door shut with the force of his body pinning hers against it. He wanted her naked, and that damn sweater which had teased him all day needed to go. Andrea didn't resist when he lifted it to reveal the bounty beneath, but tugged at his T-shirt in response until pressing his naked skin to hers became as necessary as breathing. He impatiently hiked her top higher to strip her completely of it.
"Hold on a sec." Andrea's muffled voice came from the tangle of blue wool wedged around her head. He yanked until her head popped free, leaving that once-silky hair a veritable bird's nest.
"That's better," she said. "Now you."
He broke contact to get rid of the barrier, and those few seconds let him drink in the sight of her. In a white bra and jeans, hair mussed, and lips swollen from his tending, she was a far cry from the priss-miss he'd first encountered.
Man, what a turn-on.
The rapid rise and fall of her chest mesmerized him, but restrictive cotton denied him the full effect of her voluptuous cleavage. Eager to free her from all conservative binds, his fingers sought to unhook the fastening of her bra. A well-rehearsed tug and flick failed to open the catch, and he distracted her with a passionate kiss while he worked on it. First with one hand, then with two, he pushed and pulled to no avail.
Finally, he had to admit defeat. "I can't get this bloody thing open, Andie."
Resisting the urge to rip it off, Matt waited while she reached to undo it herself. She whipped her underwear off to release her pert breasts into view, and slung it in his direction. The bra catapulted directly into his face, the tail end popping him in the eye. Instinctively he clutched his eye and stifled a verbal wince.
"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry." Through a watery haze, he saw her hand fly to her mouth in horror.
"Don't worry, Andie. It's not your fault." He tried to blink back the watery sting to ease her guilt, but full apology mode had already kicked in.
"That was a stupid thing to do. I don't know what I was thinking."
His one good eye saw her bend to retrieve the makeshift weapon. She stood up and accidentally head-butted him between the legs, his groin suffering the next hit. His tongue nearly didn't make it either, he bit it so hard to stop from crying out. The crippling agony doubled him in two and he fought to breathe through it. When, oh when, had his tried and tested methods of seduction turned into a comedy of errors?
"Why don't we take this somewhere safer? Like the bedroom?" he asked in shallow bursts amid ragged breaths.
Andrea placed a self-conscious arm across her chest and limped to his bedroom, one foot shoeless and the other wobbling on a stiletto. He followed when the ache down below receded enough to allow movement.

Evie Jayne Talks About her New Paranormal Romance!

Hello Evie!  Thank you so much for visiting Written Butterfly with me today!
Q) How did you dream up the dynamics of your characters?
Hi Beth, thanks heaps for having me visit today.
As Scar Tissue is the second book in an ongoing series, I had already had glimpses of my  hero and heroine in the first book. It was challenging to develop them in keeping to what had been revealed of their personalities in book one. I often find that my character's begin with just a seed and it's during the writing process that they begin to tell me who they are.

Q) Do you have any habits that get you in the writing frame of mind?
I'm a mum, work evenings and have two horses that need a lot of care, so I don't really have time to wait for the right frame of mind. I have to snatch time when it's available. I tend to carry a note book and jot down snippets of scenes or dialog, so that when I do make it to the computer I have work to transcribe. This will usually get me started. It's harder when I sit down cold, with nothing.
Q) What are your upcoming projects?

Ooh, so many! I'm a person that often has a few projects on the go. Though one will always be my main focus. At the moment I'm working on the first few chapters of the third book in the Dominion series, a stand alone urban fantasy and the first book in a new series that has been knocking on my door for a year or so now. I'm also considering doing some more study in Creative writing. I enjoy learning the skills that go into our craft and the challenge of improving my work.++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++  Hi and thanks for having me to visit. I'm thrilled to be here. I'm excited to be celebrating the release of my second full length PNR novel.Scar Tissue is the second book in my Dominion Series and has been long in the making. I'm very proud to be presenting it.
A single black and white photo was the inspiration that finally broke through my writers block and got me restarted. I'd written several beginnings to Scar Tissue, none of which were working. The photo in question(which I've sadly lost) was of a woman holding a man against a rough brick wall. It got me thinking. Why does she need to be in control? Why does he voluntarily submit to her? And so the basis of my characters relationship was formed.

Blurb:            Caden James is a rare subspecies of vampire. That’s bad enough, but it’s only going to get worse. The 2nd maturation is almost upon him, when he will fall into the Dark Dominion. Unless he can find the female fated to save his soul.
Sounds simple, find her and stop his descent into horror.
Except with Parry O’Morrigan, nothing is simple.
Parry’s past has scarred her physically and psychologically, leaving her with a bone deep fear of vampires. Until she crosses the path of a fanged warrior who sets her blood on fire.
Thrown together, the pair track the creator of a new breed of zombie. As the hunt heats up, so does the passion between them. Can Parry overcome her past, or will she let the Dark take him?
Even if she can, Cade’s fate may yet destroy the only female he’s ever cared about.++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Excerpt:            Lust and aggression shifted under his skin. He needed to get her under him, to mark her and make her his. Her near death at the hands of the revenant had stripped away much of the control. Bloodlust roiled through him.
He fought to keep from baring his throbbing fangs at her. He had to be sane about this. His nature could not be the leader in this confrontation.
“You’re hurt,” he said and forced himself to take a step back from her, and then another. All he wanted was to close the gap between them. Her chin jerked in acknowledgment, but she lifted one black brow in a blasé arch.
He shifted forward, unable to stop himself, the pull towards her magnetic. Her blade rose, pointed straight at his throat. He was fully aware that with a flick of that fine boned wrist could part his head from his neck. The thought made him smile. Wild sidhe, dangerous female.
“I’m not going to hurt you,” he said.
Memories of her body pushed hard against his in that alley three weeks ago flickered in his mind. The feeling of her small muscular back against his chest, her ass pressed into the ache between his thighs. He growled low in his chest.
            “You sure?” she said.
With infinite care he lowered his own sword. When the bloodstained tip scraped on the ground he released the handle. It clattered on the gravel with a metallic ring. Sometimes actions were better than words.
“What else?” she said. He shuffled his left foot forward and let her see the hilt of the dagger in his boot sheath.
            “Get rid of it.”
He bent slowly, feeling her gaze follow his movement. After tossing the blade at her feet he stood up.
            “What else?” she repeated.
He had to smile, even though he knew it exposed his fangs to her. Not like she wasn’t fully aware of what he was anyway. Of course she knew he wouldn’t be lightly armed. Hell, her sisters had taught the Abstainer soldiers.
He pulled his coat back from his shoulders, exposing the harnesses that were strapped to his chest, hips and thigh. He unsheathed blade after blade and tossed them at her feet like a deadly offering. Apt, his bloodstained hands were all he had to give her. No gentleness, no reverence or refinement. Those things weren’t in him.
He was a curse, murder on two legs, death with a vampiric heartbeat. He didn’t deserve her, but he would have her anyway. He needed her to save what little was left of his soul.
As he laid the last blade at her feet she nodded, but one of her twin swords stayed pointed in his direction. Cade fought the urge to knock it away and cross the ground between them. Not the right time for that. He’d fucked it up the first time he’d met her, manhandling her body as if he had the right. Then losing it on the revenant tonight. Could he have done anything to make it any clearer what he was?
“I remember you, Abstainer,” she said.
His lips curled. Good, that was good.

Sexy New Fantasy "Dark Rider" by Elizabeth Monvey

Welcome to Elizabeth Monvey!  Thank you so much for visiting Written Butterfly again!  You're no stranger to the questions!

I love questions!  Especially when I can blab about my favorite thing...my stories!  So thank you for giving me an opportunity to promote my book, Dark Rider.  Perhaps you can come visit my brand new blog soon!

Q) How did you dream up the dynamics of your characters?
This story was originally part of a larger fantasy book I wrote some time ago.  The character names were all different too.  I took this part of the book and tried to modify it for Evernight's Planet Alpha series, but they said no thanks.  They did, however, want me to convert it back to the fantasy story and offered me a contract based on the original material.  Maybe later on I can use the other half of that book.
Q) Do you have any habits that get you in the writing frame of mind?
I have to be clear headed.  If I'm angry, or upset, or hungry, or distracted by a television show, then I can't focus.  So I listen to instrumental music.  Presently, I'm on a Celtic Music kick.
Q) What are your upcoming projects?
I have the next book in the "My Boyfriend Is..." series being released next week!  This one is called "My Vampire Boyfriend".  After that will be "My Alien Boyfriend".  Presently, I'm writing the next in that series.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Blurb for Dark Rider:

When Lord Hark is stabbed, his uncle, the Govenor of Eyvindar, hires a Mercenary to protect his heir.  Hark resents having a babysitter but when he meets Cax he’s unprepared for the spark of attraction between them.
Cax is a Mercenary, living by the code of his Guild.  He is hired to protect Hark, even though it seems Hark’s biggest enemy is himself as he drowns in moon-ivy wine every day.  But Cax can’t deny his attraction to the warrior, nor can he deny his attraction to Hark’s loyal servant, Alisander.
Alisander has been by Hark’s side almost his whole life.  He is in love with him, but when he meets Cax he sees a future away from the servant life he’s been confined to.
They are from different aspects in life but manage to find love.  Yet they need to discover the threat moving in on Hark, before it’s too late.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Excerpt:
“If you keep staring at me,” Cax muttered to him, “I’m going to have to hurt you.”Alisander grinned. “New to Eyvindar, eh?”“Does it matter if I am?”“Passing through?”Cax finished his drink and rose from the bar. "Poro," he called out, ignoring Alisander. "I'll take a room for the night."The barkeep came over and held out his hand for the coin, which Cax gave him without counting. He figured it was enough when Poro beamed and gave him a quick nod. "Don't worry about a thing, Cax. You come back when you want. The room is waiting for you." He jerked his head to a corner. "Up the stairs, first door on the right."Cax's fist bounced on the bar once to seal the bargain, and then he turned and started out. To his annoyance, the redhead was right on his heel. Even though he felt wildly attracted to him, for some unknown reason, the last thing he wanted to do get involved with someone while on a mission, and especially with someone so young."Why are you following me?" he asked over his shoulder."I'm just walking myself out as well," Alisander nimbly replied. "Then, when we reach outside I expect you to go your way and I shall go mine.""Unless your way and my way happen to be the same way."Cax growled under his breath, and when they did indeed emerge onto Winemaker Row, in the blink of an eye, he had Alisander backed against the wall, his hands held prisoner within his own and thrust above his head. The position was meant to put him at a disadvantage, but Cax instantly saw his mistake. Without realizing it, he’d brought their bodies flush up against each other, and he couldn’t help but to grind his pelvis into the younger man, making sure he felt his hard cock so he’d know exactly what he was dealing with.“What—”“Shush,” Cax ordered, leaning forward a little to get a sniff of his scent. There was something sweet and intoxicating, and Cax couldn’t help but moan at the aroma. He had the urge to bite, to take, and that was something he’d never experienced before. “Cax?” Alisander asked a bit breathlessly. “Who areyou?” Cax asked, feeling all shades of confusion over his powerful attraction.

Q&A with Doris O'Connor with a Sexy Excerpt!

Hello Doris!  Thank you so much for visiting Written Butterfly with me today!  What a gorgeous cover for your new release.
Thanks so much for having me here, today, and I know. Sour Cherry Designs so nailed this cover! J
Q) How did you dream up the dynamics of your characters?
It’s funny you should phrase it like that because I literally woke up one morning with the story in my head. In fact this is the first truly erotic story I ever wrote, and I got the idea in response to a submission call for an Anthology. With my tongue firmly stuck in the side of my mouth I wrote the story in a week, and sent it off. I then jumped for joy when it was accepted, and even more when the publisher said they were going to publish it its own.
Fast forward a few years and I asked for my rights back, because this story kept niggling at me. I felt I hadn’t done it justice, and so I rewrote it, added quite a few K and this is the final article.
 Q) Do you have any habits that get you in the writing frame of mind?
I need peace and quiet to get in the right frame of mind, so I switch off the telly, shut my door and stay off Facebook, and my fingers fly. Of course, once I’m truly in a story, and the characters are nagging me, I can write almost anywhere.  I’m completely character driven, so when they talk, I write. Fortunately they are usually pretty insistent to have their stories told.

Q) What are your upcoming projects?
I have another release coming up on September 24th with Evernight Publishing. The Bear Treatment is book 4 in my Projects series.
Here’s the blurb:
There’s nothing quite like being dumped by another good for nothing boyfriend to focus a girl’s mind. Fun has been missing from Louisa’s life for far too long, and a bit of wax play at the spa with a difference is just what she needs to take her mind off her birthday. What can possibly go wrong? It’s not as though the man she’s been secretly lusting after for years would turn up and see her in all of her wobbly bits glory, or give her one mind blowing orgasm after the other, is it?That would mean she is getting the bear treatment. You know the one—ends up with being mated to one droolworthy, dominant, bear shifter—and ticks off the council no end.One thing’s for certain. After this birthday nothing will be the same again.
My  Muse was on a bit of a Bear Shifter voyage at the time, because my next release with Siren Bookstrand Publishing is October 21st, and the start of a new Paranormal series, called The Protectors. Here is the blurb for Her Bear Protector:
From the minute Ronan Bernhard roars into Tina Snowdon’s sleepy village on his Harley, he inhabits her thoughts and dreams. The inked mountain rescue biker is a sex-on-legs hunk, and her knickers aren’t the only ones that melt in a flash at his wicked smile.Ronan, however, keeps his distance and simply becomes another client of her cleaning firm, until the morning she turns up and finds his cottage trashed, and her life is turned upside down.Bear Shifter Ronan recognizes his mate the minute he scents her. Having her clean for him means he can watch over her from afar, because to claim her as his mate and sub is out of the question. As the village protector he has responsibilities he can’t ignore—duties that will place Tina in grave danger—even if she were able to accept not only his bear, but also his darker desires. The morning she finds him injured, his bear takes over…
I have just received the contract from Siren for book 4 of my Spectrum Auctions series, and Auctioned to the Spanish Dom is scheduled for release in November/December, and my current WIP is a BDSM M/F/M ménage involving two brothers in love with the same girl. They’re not seeing eye to eye at the moment, but they’re going to have to learn to share, lol.
I also have the next story in this, Services to Sisterhood series brewing. I have a heroine in need of a pirate capture adventure, which ought to prove great fun to write.
As you might have guessed, there aren’t enough hours in the day for all the stories clambering for my attention.
Blurb: Services to Sisterhood, 1                                   Loosen up and awake your inner Sex Goddess...call it services to sisterhood.
The mere thought of an all-expenses paid trip to a tropical island of sexual abandonment makes straight-laced school teacher Astrid break out in a heat rash. What fantasy is she supposed to live out, exactly? You kinda need to have them to re-enact them, right? However, she can’t really turn down a birthday present, even if her outrageous best friend would let her.
Everything changes when she wakes up in her very own Arabian Fantasy. Prince Rashid expects her complete obedience, and Astrid can’t help but respond to the demands of the enigmatic Sheikh. Maybe it’s just the ambiance of this place but Astrid finds new strength in her submission, and the sex is out of this world.
What happens, however, when reality beckons? Can she hold onto the fantasy?

Excerpt:“Naughty girls need to be punished.”Punished? What on earth did he mean? Before she could question him he spun her around in his arms. One hand pinched her nipple hard. The pain was more arousing than she would have thought possible, and his other hand fisted in her hair and yanked her head up. He pinched her again, harder this time. The desire she saw in his dark eyes as he assessed her reaction made the pain spiral down towards her pussy.“Stop, you’re hurting me!” Is that breathy denial really my voice? Her heart turned into a jackhammer as she waited for his next move, and arousal warred with fear.He tugged her closer into his solid wall of muscle. A small smile played on his lips at her sharp intake of breath when the move brought her clit in direct contact with the broad tip of his cock. It nudged at her through the thin fabric of both their clothing. “You don’t want me to stop.” The growl in her ear, combined with another sharp pinch to her other nipple sent her breathing into erratic overdrive as one large hand cupped her wet folds. Heaven help her, a stab of pure lust made her knees tremble.  His low chuckle had to be the sexiest sound she’d ever heard. His stubble grazed her neck as he suckled on her skin and sank his teeth into her flesh at just the right side of pleasuring pain. He took her moan into his mouth, and his tongue dueled with hers, before he nipped at her bottom lip hard enough for her to taste her own blood. Startled, she tried to pull away from him. His iron grip wouldn’t let her, however, and his predatory smile held her captive. “I can smell your pussy, and I’m going to taste you until you scream for my cock to fill you, deep and hard, right here.”Astrid gasped at the sudden rip of her dress, and cool air hit her naked flesh. Rashid thrust one finger into her juices before inserting that digit right into her anus, pulling her closer still. The shock of the unexpected invasion made her sink her teeth into her lips to stop herself from moaning. “No, please, Rashid.”Another finger thrust deep, and lifted her up on her tiptoes until her hands had to grab his shoulders for support.“That’s no, my lord.” At the shake of her head, a third finger stretched her further, and she couldn’t help the startled sob he caught in his mouth in a bruising kiss. “Yield to me, my bad, bad girl, or your punishment will be worse.”Oh. My. God. He couldn’t mean that, surely. But what did she know about this dark stranger? Nothing but her body’s complete arousal in his presence. Even now, hovering between the pain and pleasure his relentless fingers up her ass were giving her, she wanted his cock inside her so badly she could scream. What is wrong with me?His gaze locked with hers, his breathing harsh, his pupils so dilated his eyes were almost black. He pushed deeper into her, the pain bringing tears to her eyes as he almost lifted her off the floor entirely. “Yield to me, my pretty, now! Trust me.”Astrid couldn’t resist. Something in that dark gaze pulled her right into his barely controlled power. “Yes, my lord.”The brilliant smile took her breath away, and she winced as his fingers slowly and carefully withdrew.“Good girl. Now shut your eyes.”“Why?” She couldn’t help but utter the question, even though her insides churned at the thought of his displeasure.Sure enough, he growled in answer, the sound so low and animalistic that every feminine cell in her body just melted, until she had to fight the urge to sink to her knees in front of him. He raised his eyebrows, moved to stand behind her, and then slapped her ass hard enough to make her gasp. Gooseflesh broke out over her exposed skin when he tugged her head back on his shoulder and she saw his sinful grin. Astrid’s breath stalled in her lungs at the first of several more openhanded swats to her behind. They left her butt on fire. Heat traveled over her skin and sent her arousal up another notch. Surely being spanked like this should not turn her on even more, and make her wish he would bend her over his knee and do the job properly? By the time he’d delivered that last stinging swat, she gasped her answer.“Yes, my lord.”“That’s better, my pretty.” She could hear the smile in his voice and feel it in the butterfly kisses on her shoulder blades as he circled her. The swish of cool silk over her sensitive tummy made her pull in the muscles there in anticipation. The silk moved higher, a bare whisper across her engorged breasts, before it settled over her eyes. His warm hand grasped hers and lifted her arm high as another slow, tantalizing swish of silk slid up her body before he tied it around her wrist, and secured her arm high above her head. The tickle of yet more silk started on the inside of her thigh this time, and brushed across her clit repeatedly. It caused more of her juices to moisten her already wet pussy lips, and beads of perspiration broke out on her skin. Astrid could smell her own arousal in the air, mixed with the unique scent of the man breathing into her ear. His sharp intake of breath told her he was as affected as she was. The whispered Arabic words breathed against her flesh sent shivers of awareness down her spine. Rashid lifted her other arm so high, she had to once again stand on tiptoes. “My lord?”
*****Author Bio:Glutton for punishment would be a good description for Doris... at least that's what she hears on an almost daily basis when people find out that she has a brood of nine children, ranging from adult to toddler and lives happily in a far too small house, cluttered with children, pets, dust bunnies, and one very understanding and supportive husband. Domestic goddess she is not. There is always something better to do after all, like working on the latest manuscript and trying not to scare the locals even more than usual by talking out loud to the voices in her head. Her characters tend to be pretty insistent to get their stories told, and you will find Doris burning the midnight oil on a regular basis. Only time to get any peace and quiet and besides, sleep is for wimps. She likes to spin sensual, sassy, and sexy tales involving alpha heroes to die for, and heroines who give as good as they get. From contemporary to paranormal, BDSM to F/F, and Ménage, haunting love stories are guaranteed.Stalking LinksWebsite Blog Twitter  Facebook Pinterest  Evernight Publishing               Amazon All Romance E-Books BookStrandBarnes&Noble

Q&A with the Awesome Raven McAllan!

Hello Raven!  Thank you so much for visiting Written Butterfly with me today!
Thanks for inviting me, I'm so pleased to be here.
Q) I love the cover for your newest release, Double Jackson. Can you give us a little background on your characters?
Jackson and Collum. Jackson is an actor, and Collum a part time teacher and part time journalist. Both are strong willed, sensible and not the sort of people you'd think anyone would want to upset. They have a fantastic housekeeper, Tina, and her sister Fizz is Jack's agent. I see her story will need to be shared soon.

I was so very pleased with the cover, it's perfect. They live in a Scottish village so, to have the lochs and mountains is spot on.
Q) What’s the inspiration behind Double Jackson?
This sounds so silly, but I was mistaken for someone when I was walking along a busy street in Glasgow. It wasn't anyone famous, but I wondered just what would happen if a 'double' for someone famous got into trouble and people thought it was the real person, if you get me? That sparked the idea, and Double Jackson was well on its way.
Q) What are your upcoming projects?
I'm all over happy because I've just heard Evernight have accepted a sexy time slip Christmas story, A Dom for Christmas. Plus, I have book 3 of the Diomhair series, Secrets Remembered, out on October, and Hong Kong Heat, in December, both from Totally Bound.

And, (yeah glutton for punishment) I'm waiting on a contract for another book with Totally Bound, writing a wee hot BDSM story, and there's a series about a travel agency contracted with Breathless Press. Just deciding which story when for that. Oh and I have a YA story bubbling, which will be the final Shalean Moon book… Just a bit to do grin ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

When I sat down to write this blog, I realized how lucky I am, doing what I love, writing stories. The fact people seem to enjoy them is a bonus, and one I never stop giving thanks for. I couldn't not write, I feel as if something is missing if I don't connect with my characters every day, even just for a few minutes. As my long-suffering hubby says, have lap top will travel. (It's amazing how much you can write on long haul)
Double Jackson, or Jackson for short is one of those stories that hit you, and demand to be told.  It was very definitely character driven, and one of the minor characters, Tina the housekeeper, nagged me all the time I wrote. It was as if she were in the room with me, looking over my shoulder…
Not only does she keep all the characters in the book in their place, she very definitely did it to me as well.
I think it worked.
Blurb:
Jackson Carrick at Tits and Bum Club—gay in more ways than one.As morning wake up calls go, those damning headlines made for a rude awakening. The renowned actor is a one man guy, thank you very much, so why would a doppelganger set out to discredit him, and more importantly, who is it?As the mystery unravels and loyalties are tested, Jackson has to rely on his husband, housekeeper, and friends to keep his reputation from swirling down the drain.Fortunately, Jackson's husband Collum knows just how to keep his man from worrying. Only one thing to do when you're stuck inside waiting for news—lots of mind-blowing sex.
Excerpt:
(Fizz is Tina's twin, and Jack's agent.)Jack took hold of the phone as if it were a time bomb about to go off. Which, Coll decided it might well be. He stared at Jack, and willed his positive thoughts to be heard as Jack connected the call."Hi, Fizz. Hold on, I want to put this on speakerphone so I don't have to repeat it to Coll.""Where are you? No don't tell me if it's too much information. Are you at home?" Her voice was loud and tinny in the room. "Do you have today's paper handy? Is there a clock or three around? Are you decent?" The staccato questions came thick and fast. "Jack?"Coll's eyes widened and he shook his head at his lover's silent question. He had no idea what the inquisition was all about."Kitchen? With iPad and phone?" Jack could be as brusque as the next person when it was warranted. "Naked.""That'll do." Fizz's voice ebbed and flowed as the signal changed strength. "Well, not the naked bit. Clothed. Plus a paper or two and remember, decently dressed. Do it now and send it to me please. I'll be with you as soon as I can. About ten minutes, I reckon." The phone went dead.Jack looked at Coll, who raised one eyebrow."Oh, shit.""Oh, fuck. Her ten is five. I don't think she means in our birthday suits." Jack pinched Coll's left nipple and rolled of the bed to land on his feet."Bastard. I wish I was that agile." Coll sat up, stretched and then stood up slowly."Ha. If you had to do the stuff I do in this series you'd be limber as well. Problem is at the end I'll be arthritic and stiff as an excited cock everywhere, not just in my dick." He jogged into the bathroom, and with a wry grin, Coll followed him. Jack had the shower on full blast. As Coll watched he spun round under the water three times and got out."Over to you. I'll go hunt up iPads and stuff." Jack rubbed his hands over his hair and snagged a towel as he moved swiftly away."Cover up your jiggles then," Coll called after him. "No cock rock on display." A whistle was his reply.Coll wasn't under the water much longer than it took to wash any traces of sex from his body, and soak his sweat-slicked hair. He flicked a towel across his body in the hope some water would be caught and absorbed and then pulled on a clean t-shirt before he ignored boxers, and thrust his damp legs into linen trousers and deck shoes. The material of the trousers chafed his skin and he wriggled uncomfortably. Maybe he should have donned underwear after all. The last thing he wanted was a rash on his cock from the nylon thread they used in his clothes. It was too late. He heard the deep-throated rumble of a powerful motorbike and guessed Fizz had arrived. Coll took the stairs two at a time. He arrived in the hall as the knocker crashed onto the wood with such force he wouldn't have been surprised to see it emerge through the panel and an attached hand still thumping away.He pulled the door open and Fizz almost fell into the foyer."Have you taken that picture yet?" she demanded in a breathless voice as she took off her helmet and put it on top of an old-fashioned hat stand."Good afternoon, Fizz. Not yet, sorry. How are you, Coll? I'm fine, thank you, Fizz, how are you?" Coll said sarcastically. "Would you like to take a breath before or after you hit me over the head for my tardiness?" The look he received would wither the hardest cock."Funny, ha, ha. I need that photo like an hour ago.""Difficult." Jack had entered the hall unnoticed. "We didn't know you wanted it, and it would have been a TMI photo."Fizz made a noise like a particularly upset wildcat. Jack sniggered. "Knickers in a twist, Fizz?""No, but your nuts will be in a nutcracker before you can say walnut or pecan if we don't get stuff sorted out pretty damned quick. Let me take a damned photo." She snapped the words irritably. "Where?""Kitchen. I was setting it up." "I don't want a set up," Fizz followed Jack into the kitchen, and Coll followed the two if them. If he was a ladies’ man, then Fizz's ass would be everything you could ask for. Not for the first time he wondered why she was single with no guy—or woman in sight.Coll made a beeline for the coffee pot. "Coffee?""After." Fizz didn't look up from her phone. "Okay, it's still okay. Get sorted. No, not like that. Who lines up three clocks and props a newspaper up for a selfie for no reason? I want natural.""If we'd known an hour ago you could have had au naturel."

Raven Bio:  Well what can I say?
I'm growing old disgracefully and loving it.Dh and I live on the edge of a Scottish forest, and rattle around in a house much too big for us.  Our kids have grown up and flown the nest, but roll back up when they want to take a deep breath and smell the daisies so to speak. I write in my study, which overlooks the garden and the lane. I'm often seen procrastinating, by checking out the wild life, looking—only looking—at the ironing basket and assuring tourists that indeed, I'm not the bed and breakfast. That would mean cooking fried eggs without breaking the yolks, and disturbing the dust bunnies as they procreate under the beds. Not to be thought of.Being able to do what I love, and knowing people get pleasure from my writing is fantastic. Long may it last.

Welcome Carlene Love Flores!

Hello Carlene!  Thank you so much for visiting Written Butterfly with me today!  I have to say, I’m a huge fan of yours!
Hi back, Beth! Total disclosure, you are the first person who has told me they are a huge fan of mine so um, you’ll have to give me a moment to blot my eyes. Xoxoxoxo Hugs to you, lady.

Q) Your newest release, “Wicked Flower” is Stefan’s story.  Can you tell us a little about each book? Absolutely!
The series begins with Sidewalk Flower, Trista and Lucky’s story. She is the band’s personal assistant and he is the cousin of the band leader. They are thrown together on a very personal road trip which is awkward to say the least as they start out strangers. Tris wants to detest Lucky and keep him away but he’s persistent and the shot of goodness her dark world needs.
Book 2 is Sin’s Flower, Jaxon and Lily’s story. He’s the leader of the band and she’s Trista’s baby sister. That means she’s HANDS OFF status big time but Jaxon can’t seem to stay away from the young woman who has captured not only his heart but that of his little girl.
Sin’s Haven is the third book and belongs to band webmaster Benny and his lady, Hazel. Benny is a series favorite and I loved this novella. Ben is humiliated on his birthday night and Hazel tries to boost his ego by telling them they had an amazing one night stand. Trouble is, Benny would never do that. What does he do when he discovers her lie?
I was so happy to get to offer a series Free Read and that one happens to be Book 4, Touch of Sin. This one centers around Sin Pointe’s opening act, a band called Lonerby. Sarrie is sent to secretly assess the band after their behavior is called into question but she confesses to band member Luke right away on what she’s there to do. Which he finds adorable. But how does he court management’s little spy?
And now we have Stefan’s story, Wicked Flower. All I can say is that this one is all Stefan Calderon and all HOT. He’s playing a very dangerous game with a woman from his past and breaking all the rules as he goes. The first lines sum this one up…”If you cannot be good, then be the least bad you can be.”~Thomas More

Q) Can you give a little insight on the woman Stefan loves?
Dani is a girl who deserves a break. She’s trying her best to do everything right yet for every good deed, she seems fated to suffer as well. It all comes to a boiling point the morning she’s dumped by her boyfriend via an email. Hours after this happens, she runs into a man she simply calls her Sinister Superman. He’s hot. He wants her. Screw it that they’re strangers to each other and at a truck stop and the only privacy they have is the public bathroom. She’s pissed, hurt and needs this. Until she finds out who he is.

Q) What are your upcoming projects?
Thanks for asking! I’m not sure about another Sin Pointe book yet, although I have a feeling there might be a couple more to squeeze out. Right now I’m working on a Reindeer Shifter Christmas story which I’m so in love with. I hope I’m able to finish it and have it ready by December but we’ll see. After that I have a few stand-alone titles that I’d love to work on. One mixes military, movie making and two sexy brothers while the other is one of my favorite tropes, a friends to lovers story.
Beth, I hope you believe me when I say I am just a big a fan of yours my friend. You make my heart smile. Thank you so much for these questions. xoxoxoxoxoxoxo+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
A Sin Pointe Novel, 5

Sin Pointe front man Stefan Calderon is playing a very dangerous game and his mom’s live-in caretaker, Dani Foster, just landed right smack in the middle of it.

Practically strangers when Stefan rolls into his small hometown looking to patch things up with Mom, his and Dani’s worlds collide with a hot and intense hook up. He knows right away this woman will make the perfect partner for his two weeks in town. But when she realizes whose son he is, and what he’s there to do, sexy times come to an abrupt halt.

That is until they come up with a solution. Rules. Every game needs them. The question isn’t if they’ll break them, but when and how hard.

It’s a wickedly delicious game, one neither of them intends to lose.

Excerpt:
Wow. Had Will pegged this perfectly or what? Stefan was determined not to hear her. What hurt Dani most was how his confidence had been shattered by a ten minute conversation in a silly rose garden.

She didn’t even remember that she’d just been crying and the wetness on her cheeks surprised her when she wiped a piece of hair from her face. “But you come back. And when you do, you bring the best laughs and joy with you. You bring yourself.”

“No, don’t do that. Don’t make me out to be some good guy, Dani. It’ll only hurt you in the end.” He paused and then stabbed her with a look sharper than steel. “You sucked my cock good last night, but that doesn’t mean you own me. I don’t owe you anything.”

Her face flamed with sheer anger. She nearly spit the word asshole right back in his face but remembered Will’s warning. She could be just as stubborn. “Try again. I did suck your cock good and no, you don’t owe me anything. But you will hear me out. You know who else leaves their loved ones behind? How about soldiers?”

“That’s different and you know it.”

“How so? They stay gone for months. Thom gets one two-week break half-way through his year-long tour. He comes home one time, Stefan. In an entire year. How is that different than what you do?”

Stefan looked like she’d shot him. He held his hands over his midsection and hunched over before he righted himself again.

“I don’t know. It just is. I’m not laying my life on the line for anyone.”

“But you’re putting it on hold so you can make all those people who love your music happy.” She wouldn’t stop now. “I bet if you were with someone, you’d find a way to see that person, no matter how far away you were. And I bet that person would be thankful, and…” Her eyes welled up with tears again. “So very happy for each moment, no matter how short or how much time passed between visits. Or how big of a mean jerk you could be sometimes.”

The amount of time he stayed with his head bowed down killed Dani. Losing him in a couple days hadn’t hurt before because she realized she’d held out hope that things would work out between them. That her Superman would figure it out and fix it all. He’d invite his mom to Nashville and Dani too. All she needed was an invitation and his ability to wait two measly months for her to arrive.

“Stefan, look at me.”

She waited patiently.

“I’ll just hurt you, Dani. Don’t you get it? I fucking love you and I’d hurt you.”

Her breath tunneled around her lungs and her knees threatened to give out but she wouldn’t stop until she’d convinced him he would not do that. Not if he … not if he loved her. The way she loved him back.

“Why do you keep saying that? Leaving, when it’s your job, doesn’t hurt the one you love.”

Her mind was nearly useless after his use of the L word. Maybe he was trying to tell her he wouldn’t be faithful.

“You don’t understand me, Dani.”

“Then help me out here. Are you saying you’d sleep around on the road? Is that some inevitable part of you being Stefan Calderon, bass player?”

Crap. He wasn’t answering her.

“Fuck, I don’t know. Maybe. I’ve never been tested like that.”

“What the hell do you mean?”

Again he went silent. And this time he got up out of his stool and walked to the sink. As if they hadn’t just been in an industrial sized conversation, he reached up and pulled a glass from a cupboard and filled it with water. He guzzled the entire thing down then filled it up and walked back over to her. He set the glass down in front of her, nudging her hand which she realized was in a tight fist.

“Fighting can’t be good for the baby. Dinner’s getting cold. Let’s eat. Then maybe we’ll talk more.”

Maybe we’ll talk more? Who did he think he was? Ending their discussion like that. But her chest had tightened and she knew he was right when she took in a deep breath and felt the built up tension leave and her body relax back to normal.

She hated that he was right. But if he thought she wouldn’t fight for him, he was dead wrong. She took the glass of water, emptying it then handed it back to him.

“What did you get?”

She could play nice while they ate. He loved her.

Stefan brought their plates over. He sat down across from her and stabbed a peapod and a chunk of pink salmon, shaking his head as he bit the food from the fork and chewed. He stabbed another and another bite.

Whoever had made this man, had gotten so many things so very right. No matter that all those things combined made her absolutely crazy.

He loved her. He’d said so.

She chewed, and tried not to cry smile.

About Carlene:

Carlene Love Flores is a big fan of the stars (especially Orion), honest music (especially Depeche Mode), and her traveling family (no favorites there-she loves them all). These things have always inspired her to think up edgy, intimate love stories and continue to do so. If she could touch someone's heart with her writing the way others have done for her, she'd say truly there never lived a luckier girl.

Thursday Tasters - The WIP Struggle

Being an author can drive you crazy.

See Exhibit A.

                                                                         Exhibit A

And it can be stressful.

See Exhibit B.

                                                                  Exhibit B

And sometimes you want to give up.

See Exhibit C

                                                                    Exhibit C

So why do we continue to torment ourselves to write even more stories?  Because it's a beautiful crazy, it's a wonderful stress, and the voices in our heads won't let us give up.  I love being able to create stories even if I struggle all the time with plots, characters, and even my own insecurities.  I always think I can write better, have better stories, be better at, well, everything.

Writing is an organic career.  Every book I try to get better.  I'm learning all the time.  I wish I was a faster learner, but c'est la vie.  Thursday Tasters is there to put our work out there, to keep us writers motivated, and my first one up is from my WIP titled "One More Time".  It's a time travel story about a girl, Henrietta, who comes to 2015 from 1794.  She's found by Micah John, a man who is able to count cards and uses his ability in an effort to fleece casinos.  Currently, he's gotten into trouble with a casino boss and now has to make restitution.  Henrietta's appearance is unexpected, unwanted, and yet he can't deny there's something about her he finds fascinating.

Lightening zapped overhead, charging the atmosphere.  It made him jump and with one more deep drag, tossed the cigarette away.  The hair on his arms stood up and for a moment, everything felt like it stood still.  The air became thin, but not like it had felt suffocating in Beaumont’s grip.  No, this time everything pulled and stretched and flattened, all at the same time.  His lungs compressed, his nostrils flattened, and a buzz roared in his brain.  He cried out from the sharp pain and slammed his hands over his ears, trying to block out the weird distortion that was turning his insides to mush. He looked up and realized he was under an electricity pylon and the hum from the volts grew louder and louder, making him wonder if his eardrums had busted.  A second later, lightening hit it, causing the thing to explode with a tremendous boom which had him flying back to land in an ungraceful heap.  Thousands of sparks cascaded down upon him, and he flinched at the small brush burns.  And then all was still.  The hum was gone, but then so were all the lights.  Quiet descended and he pushed himself up to glance around.  No traffic lights, no street lights, nothing.  He stood, not sure what to do, because something was different.  Everything was…off.A whimper had him twirling around, searching through the darkness of the alley, but he couldn’t make anything out.  So he walked over to his car, opened the door, clicked on the battery, and turned on the lights.  A girl. She hovered against the wall, eyes wider than they should be.  Blue maybe, or green.  It was obvious she was terrified.  He didn’t blame her one bit.  The damn exploding transformer had scared the shit out of him too.“It’s okay,” he called out.  “It was just lightening.”She didn’t say a word, just stared at him like he was some sort of monster.  He gave a self deprecating snort.  Maybe he was.

Q & A with Tamsyn Baker's New Release!

Hello Tamsin!  Welcome back to Written Butterfly!

Q) I must say, your cover is amazing!  Can you tell us a little of character dynamics of your historical ménage vampire story?
Absolutely Beth! This was the first ménage I ever wrote and it didn’t even start as a ménage. I wrote it as a M/F female Domme, vampire, historical, since I loved all of those sub genres and thought ‘why not throw them all together?’ But one third of the way into the book, another writer friend dared me to make it a ménage. So I did. Benedict is the human, a London ton gentleman. He is a classic hero for me except for his restlessness within his community. Enter Lina. She is a vampire and a brothel owner. She takes Benedict to her bed and finds out he is her blood mate- or love match. Lina is dominant, beautiful and both excited and terrified to find the one human made for her. Antony is the tortured hero that gets thrown into the mix. He is bi sexual and thought that his male lover that died many years ago was his blood mate, but he wasn’t. You only get one, and its Benedict. So you have two very possessive vampires and one stubborn human having lots of hot sex and blood drinking, while battling to settle into an unconventional loving relationship.
Q) Do you like writing one genre over another?
I write on my mood. I do LOVE writing M/M, but I get bored easily, so tend to write whatever I want to.
Q) What are your upcoming projects? I have my first MFM shifter novel coming out in September. My first MFM ménage and my first erotic romance over 40K words! I’m half way through the sequel to that and have a series of M/F Fantasy novels mapped out!+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

First BiteMMF Regency Novella by Tamsin Baker
Blurb:Can two possessive and passionate vampire's make a relationship work with the one human they are both destined to love?
Benedict’s boring existence as a London gentleman is called into question the night he meets Lina, the madame of a local brothel. Under her dominance he finds pleasure so sweet he is hungry for more, but he is not the only one with an appetite to fill.
Lina entices the beautiful Benedict into her dungeon only to discover that he is her blood mate. Fear fills her as she enters the unknown, yet the lure of perfect bliss is too much.
Antony, Lina’s long time friend and lover finds Lina and Benedict and cannot help joining in the sexual bliss. Disaster strikes for the tortured hero when he too learns he is Benedict’s blood mate. He must face a past that still devastates him and find a way to make their ménage work.
Excerpt:Lina opened her door and gestured for them to enter. Benedict stepped through the opening first, his breath hitching as he descended all fifty-seven steps. He counted this time.He began to undress, unwilling to look at what the other two were doing and letting the fear get the better of him. Despite knowing they would smell it on him, it wasn’t controllable.Once he was completely naked, he faced them to find them still watching him. His body was shaking despite the heat of the room but he refused to run. Not that he’d get anywhere. Instead, he bit his lip and stood in front of them, his cock erect and ready for their attention.Lina pointed to a wooden cross that stood in one corner of the room.“Up on the cross, my pet. Antony, help him.”Before he could move, the big male vampire picked Benedict up around the waist, his hands cool and smooth. Benedict had to stifle the groan that rose when the vampire deliberately rubbed against his aching erection while placing him on the cross, his back against the wood. The beautiful vampire smiled as he tied Benedict’s wrists and feet in fast, sure motions.Benedict’s heart was galloping in his chest. He was tied once again, completely helpless. With Antony so close, he could appreciate the thickness of his lips, the smoothness of his skin. He ached for Antony to touch him again, to have the big vampire kiss him. But the fear of the unknown stopped him from saying his desire out loud.Lina appeared in front of him, smiling with lust clear in her blue eyes.“You want his mouth, my pet?”How had she known exactly what he had been thinking? He swallowed hard, still unable to admit to such a thing out loud. “Lina, you’re in charge down here.”As soon as the words were out, he regretted them. Benedict heard how two men fucked and he couldn’t do that. She wouldn’t make him, would she?“Strip, Antony.”The big vampire was naked by the time Benedict finished blinking. His huge, muscled body was incredible to see, the color of burnished copper and bulging with muscle. His cock was much bigger than Benedict’s, curving upward too.Benedict gasped. He couldn’t handle something that big. What would he even do with it?Lina chuckled and spoke directly into his ear.“Do not fear, my lover, he will not hurt you. I promise.”Benedict exhaled, relief swamping him. He should have known Lina would protect him. There was no need to fear. His Lina picked up her crop and pointed at the male vampire with it.“Suck on him until he comes, Antony.”Benedict gasped loudly, pulling on his restraints. He couldn’t have that. His secret desires were not meant to be fulfilled.“No, Lina. Don’t make him. I don’t want it.”She smiled, the evil Domme returning.“You wanted his mouth, my pet, now feel him.”As Antony sunk to his knees, Benedict turned his head away, closing his eyes so he couldn’t see what was about to happen.

Author Bio:Tamsin Baker is an Aussie girl who just discovered erotic romance ten months ago. Before that, she would read sexy romance, skipping the plot and looking for the all the naughty bits. Since then, she has written erotic romance and erotica novels of varying length and has had thirty published (so far!). She absolutely loves reading and writing! She has two other jobs, including kids and a hubby too – but writing is a passion that she has to indulge for fear of insanity. M/M is a passion of hers so even when she writes ménage, there is always an M/M story. She particularly enjoys writing female dommes, but she loves experimenting in all genres. Tamsin is learning to write and read more one step at a time. Soon, she’ll have stories published in every sub-genre of erotic romance – well that’s her aim anyway!

Welcome M/M Erotica Author Elizabeth Monvey!

Hello Elizabeth!  Thank you so much for visiting Written Butterfly with me today!
Q) How did you dream up the dynamics of your characters?
I love shifter stories and paranormal in general.  I've read so many werewolf stories and I wanted to create my own spin on the genre.  The Syfy tv show "Bitten" was my inspiration of Tony and his family, and what that culture needs to do in order to maintain it's secrecy.  Aaron is a little too independent, a take matters into his own hands sort of guy, and exactly what Tony needs.
Q) Do you have any habits that get you in the writing frame of mind?
I listen to soothing music.  I once read that music helps calm the mind to get it focused, and I really think that's true.  When I put in my ear buds, I'm immediately ready to write.
Q) Can you tell us a little about your series?
I love paranormal stories and even though most of the books of written are contemporary, I had stories in me dying to come out.  I came up with the titles, My Werewolf Boyfriend, and though how easy it would be to switch out the name.  So I came up with "My Boyfriend Is..." series.  So far I have this one, My Vampire Boyfriend, and My Alien Boyfriend.  I've started on My Ghostly Boyfriend.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++BLURB:

Aaron and Tony’s relationship is going strong after almost a year, except for once a month when Tony has to return home to check on his uncle.  Aaron feels slighted because he’s never included, so he decides to take matters into his own hand and follows Tony.
Tony Lykes can’t tell the love of his life that he’s descended from a long line of werewolves.  But when Aaron shows up in the middle of a werewolf battle, he’s sentenced to death in an effort to keep the werewolf pack a secret.
Now Tony, who is an enforcer of his pack, has to make the decision of upholding the werewolf law or defying protocol and customs to turn his very human mate.
EXCERPT:

“I want you naked,” he said, almost ordering Aaron to take his clothes off. His lover backed away and began a strip tease, taking way too long to remove his t-shirt. Tony hurried things along by letting his claws extend to rip Aaron’s pants and boxers off.“Jesus!” Aaron cried, his eyes wide.“Don’t be scared. I’d never hurt you.”“I wasn’t scared. I was thinking that comes in handy, eh?” An eyebrow went up. “I suppose I’ll get those.”“Shh,” Tony said and placed a normal finger on his lover’s lips. “Not now. Tomorrow we’ll revisit this supernatural madness.”“Yes,” Aaron agreed. He lifted his head. “Kiss me, Tony. Fuck me.”Tony groaned at the invitation and cupped Aaron’s head, tilting it slightly to fuse their mouths together. Right now he couldn’t take things nice and slow. He was beyond slow. Seeing his mate in danger tonight had fired his wolf up and what he needed now was to claim Aaron. The werewolf way.Their sex life had consisted of ordinary human sex. And yes, it was fucking hot, but his wolf wanted Aaron’s submission because he’d almost lost him. Tony broke the kiss and looked into Aaron’s passion filled eyes.“Get on the bed, hands and knees, and bow your head down,” Tony ordered.
