I was in the Toxteth Hotel, Glebe, on Saturday night and was knocked-down-with-a-feather that the young barman said, “Hey! Saw your picture in the paper for your book. Go the local boy!” He was referring to a recent article on my new book, 'Nor the Years Condemn', in Sydney’s Inner West Courier – see below.
I thanked him sincerely and yesterday presented the pub with a copy of my book, spoke with manager and staff, and what a nice bunch of people they are. And it’s HARD to get accepted by this store. As Every Author Wants To. And That’s the truth. It helped that I’m a local to this iconic store, also that I’ve had locals helping me with upcoming media coverage of the book.
