What comes after Reece Butler's Bride Train series?
The 9 books in the Bride Train series were designed to finish when the man known as Mr. Isaac, who has been torturing and murdering women, is caught.
That does not mean the end of Tanner's Ford, however. Time continues, and so do these tough ranching families.
After Book 9, Demanding Satisfaction, we jump to 1988. With the highway bypassing Tanner's Ford, a new town has been created, with the name of Climax, Montana.
In The Merry Widow of Tanner's Ford (e-published May 2013) we meet Simon and Lance MacDougal. They are the sons of Kevin, who is the only surviving son of Keir and Gavin, twins born in 1872 to Amelia and Ross MacDougal.
They meet Marci Meshevski, who escaped near-death in a house fire that killed her controlling husband. She wants to experience orgasms, and Simon is eager to assist. He, and Lance, want more from her, however. They want a wife and sons to continue the ranch. Without legal male issue, control of the MD Connected will revert to their Texan distant relatives.
The companion novel (WIP title Having It All is in process as of June 2013) features Marci's older sister, Doctor Nikki Meschevski. Nikki is the Climax doctor yet she has never experienced one. Too many long hours spent studying or working, on top of the circumstances of her birth and her height, has kept Nikki pure.
In order to properly serve her patients -- a town where many families are composed of a wife and two husbands -- she decides to throw away her pesky virginity and experience passion. She does not want anything more than a brief affair.
Eric Frost, back home for a couple of weeks between engineering assignments in Peru, seems the perfect choice. He's been insisting he'll never marry and settle down. His younger brother, Matt, is desperate to marry Nikki but he's embarrassed about his lack of education. He asks Eric to seduce her while he's out of town.
Can Nikki try one without the other? And if she does, can she let them go?

“Will you check her out while I’m gone? She’s strong, smart, and gorgeous. Perfect for the both of us.” Matt Frost held out his arms as if encircling a big woman. “When I danced with her, she fit.”
Eric nodded at his grinning younger brother. Matt’s last two words, said with easy simplicity, summed up the situation as far as Matt was concerned. At thirty-six, Matt had found the woman he wanted to marry. Decision made, he wanted action. After days of nonstop travel from Peru, Eric struggled to think what that meant.
“Say that again?”
With two six-foot-plus men, a bed, battered side tables, and dresser, there wasn’t much space in the motel room. Matt’s long-suffering sigh easily filled it.
“I want you to take care of Nikki while I’m at the cattle auction,” said Matt slowly and distinctly. “I won’t marry her if you two don’t get along.”
“Take care of her?” Eric frowned. “Is she hurt?”
“No, she’s not hurt, she’s fine. Better than fine. I want you to take her for a test ride.”
“A test ride.”
“You know, to see if she bucks you off, or accepts the reins.” Matt’s eyes unfocused. A sappy smile curled up his lips. “She wore this blue dress that hugged her curves. A long strand of pink pearls dropped between her breasts. I wanted to follow that necklace with my tongue, all the way down.”
After sixty-plus hours of travel, Eric’s brain was operating on only two cylinders. His spark plugs had no spark, and his battery was drained. He picked out the salient facts. Matt had found The Woman. He wanted Eric’s approval. A “test ride” meant—sex! The engine below his belt shifted from neutral into first gear.
“You want me to haul her into bed and make her purr like a kitten?”
“That’s what I said,” replied Matt with false patience. “But Nikki’s a wild cat, not a kitten.” His grin lit up his eyes. “She keeps her nails short for work, but I bet she scratches your back.” He leered. “Maybe she bites.”
After Eric spent frustrating years trying to find a woman to suit him, his little brother had found one, right here in Climax? He scratched both sets of fingernails through his hair, hoping it would wake a few brain cells. His cock was awake, though. For the first time in months it was alert and eager to get the job done.
“You want me to tame her?”
“Heck, no! I like her fire.” Matt stared at the wall, obviously seeing something far different than fly-speckled paint. “We’ll ease her into enjoying us, starting with you.”

I am really looking forward to hearing what you think about the second of the Climax, Montana novels, Having It All.
Every novel is different to write, because the characters are individuals. I really enjoyed writing about Eric and Matt Frost of the Circle C Ranch. Each tough man has a few issues they haven't yet dealt with, and their desire for Doctor Nikki Meschevski leads them to confront their fears.
Eric, at six foot six, is rough and tough, necessary when working in the mountains of Peru. He's been given the nickname of "The Grizzly Bear" due to his deep grown and chest hair, as well as his insistence that women and children will be protected wherever he works. Each time he gets in an airplane, necessary to work or get home, he has to fight down his fear. Helicopters are a total no-no!
Matt seems lovable and easy-going, but there is a cowboy toughness that runs through his backbone and every muscle in his body. He wants Nikki, but she has so many years of education and he barely made it through two years of college. The woman uses ten dollar words and Matt can only scrounge up a buck-fifty on a good day.
Doctor Nikki Meshevki has exactly what she wanted in life, what she struggled for since she realized how her loving single mother was forced into poverty due to children and lack of education. She vows to be the best doctor in this small Western town. To do so, she must gain experience that will help the poly families she counsels. Due to her six foot height and nose-to-the-books attitude, she hasn't had a real boyfriend. Not only has she never shared two men, she's never had one. So she sets out to research the topic of hands-on sex -- for her patients, of course :)
