Cover reveal: bio-horror novel, 'Devil Dragon'

Here is the cover, designed by Dean Samed of Conzpiracy Arts, of my bio-horror novel, 'Devil Dragon': https://www.facebook.com/CohesionPres...

It is the first in a new series of stand-alone bio-horror novels under the banner of 'Natural Selection' released by Australian publisher, Cohesion Press. 'Devil Dragon' should hit the shelves in October 2016.

It’s about a scientist, Dr Erin Harris, who is obsessed with finding a living Varanus priscus, a giant Australian lizard that apparently went extinct some 12,000 years ago. There are occasional sightings, like Big Foot or Nessie. Erin cobbles together an expedition party and travels into the unexplored heart of a national park. A nerdy scientist, an elderly farmer and two gun-toting deer hunters stranded in the bush versus an apex predator the size of a campervan – what could go wrong?

'Across the white desert' review

Here's an excerpt from a review in Tangent, February 2016, of my short story, "Across the white desert" published in Aurealis #87: "High stakes and realistic dialogue create a strong sensation of endangerment, which holds the reader from page one to the end. The snow, gore, and monsters suggest that the author might be a big admirer of the Lovecraftian mythos. True or not, Deborah Sheldon has done an excellent job".
