THE AGAIN-WALKERS is out now

New from Demain Publishing, my Viking-supernatural-crime novelette, released 24 June 2022. The Again-Walkers was inspired by ninth-century Danish mythology and superstition.

https://www.amazon.com/Again-Walkers-...

Back-cover blurb: To end a blood feud between two Viking families, Svana Norup is offered as a peace-pledge bride to blacksmith, Hallkell Jenson. Within weeks of moving to Hallkell's village, however, Svana meets and falls for the shepherd, Agmundr Rask. If Svana and Agmundr want to make a life together, they must first get rid of Hallkell. But can the lovers risk murder when Hallkell might return from the dead to take revenge?

The Again-Walkers was first published in my award-winning collection Perfect Little Stitches and Other Stories (IFWG Publishing Australia, 2017).

Short story translated into a Spanish language

My short story "Perfect Little Stitches" was first published in Midnight Echo #11, and subsequently nominated for the Australian Shadows "Best Short Fiction" Award. "Perfect Little Stitches" has been reprinted a few times over the years, but this is a first for me - it's been reprinted in another language!

"Perfect Little Stitches" was translated into Galician and published in the Spanish spec-fic magazine, Nova Fantasia, as "Puntadiñas perfectas". You can have a look at the story here:

Horror Tree review of LIMINAL SPACES: HORROR STORIES

The Horror Tree has reviewed my latest title, the collection Liminal Spaces: Horror Stories (IFWG Publishing Australia).

In part, reviewer Joe Donley writes, "The stories within range from flash fiction to near novella, while the tone ranges from quiet unease to ultra-gory monster violence—all wonderful stuff. When done right, I love both ends of this particular horror spectrum. And Sheldon delivers. There’s a bit of something for every horror-monger in this collection."
