Aurealis Magazine reviews my collection LIMINAL SPACES: HORROR STORIES

Aurealis is Australia's longest-running small press science fiction, fantasy and horror magazine. Issue #157 includes a terrific review of my collection Liminal Spaces: Horror Stories (IFWG Publishing Australia, 2022).

In part, reviewer Chris Foster writes, "Length and style vary between the stories, some winding, others half-pager snapshots. Each arrives with recognisable characters, motives, sometimes monsters, where not all of the horror is gore and beast. Sheldon focuses more on the psychological trappings of walking on a world you understand subtly, before she pulls the rug from right under your feet."

Poem published in ILLUMEN MAGAZINE

Edited by Tyree Campbell, Illumen Magazine publishes original poems in the genres of sci-fi, fantasy and horror. Each issue also features artwork, articles, reviews, and interviews.

Illumen Magazine Winter 2023 includes my poem, "Wheals and Whorls". The poetic form I used is a type of Welsh quatrain known as the cyhydedd hir.

So pleased that my name made the cover!

Cover reveal - KILLER CREATURES DOWN UNDER: HORROR STORIES WITH BITE

IFWG Publishing Australia has revealed the cover for my upcoming anthology, Killer Creatures Down Under: Horror Stories with Bite. https://ifwgaustralia.com/2022/11/12/...

Isn't it terrific? My husband came up with the concept, and the very talented Greg Chapman did the artwork and cover design. https://dark-designs.com/

The anthology comprises 17 horror stories by Australian writers, and a reprint of one of my own stories which served as the anthology's inspiration. Killer Creatures Down Under: Horror Stories with Bite will be published worldwide on 15 May 2023.

SFFWorld review of THE FOURTH CORONA BOOK OF HORROR STORIES

SFFWorld.com is one of the oldest genre websites featuring the best in science fiction, fantasy and horror. It features book and movie reviews, interviews, articles, guest posts and more. https://www.sffworld.com/

SFFWorld reviews The Fourth Corona Book of Horror Stories, which was recently published by Corona Books UK.

About my story, "Angel Hair", reviewer Shellie Horst writes, "Drifting on the current autumn air, 'Angel Hair' by Deborah Sheldon plays with tension rather than gore. A warning for those who dislike spider webbing. You’ll be brushing off the gossamer threads for some time after reading Sheldon’s story."

The Fourth Corona Book of Horror Stories is out now. This anthology includes my story "Angel Hair": https://www.amazon.com.au/Fourth-Coro...

Here's a great review of the anthology by Unsettling Reads:
https://unsettlingreads.squarespace.c...

About my story, "Angel Hair", reviewer Robin Knabel writes, "Desolate. Desperate. Survival. Crushing. Smothering. Alone. Deborah never disappoints. This is a story filled with a visceral fear and dread. She brought a phobia to life."
