I'm delighted to have joined Goodreads! I'm also eager to share my new novel, ABOVE THE SALT, with readers...the publication date is November 7th, 2023, and I'm thrilled to say that Flatiron Books/Macmillan is the publishing house. I have a gorgeous cover thanks to Rex Bonomelli! The book--it was pitched as "Cold Mountain" meets "Love in the Time of Cholera"--also sold to Leya in Portugal, a large house with a number of imprints, including ASA, which has published three of my books in translation. My novel took over fifteen years to write, so I treated myself to some new author's photos done by Beowulf Sheehan. I have a sense of being a kid at Christmas, eager to open some gifts. Most of all, I hope readers will love my characters and story.
