I am so excited that HUNTED is finally available! It's my YA paranormal fantasy/dystopian, and it's been getting some rave reviews and fantastic blurbs. I put a lot of my heart and soul into HUNTED. A lot of hope & healing, and standing up to oppression of all kinds. I care about it a lot, and I hope you will, too. And, like I did with SCARS, I drew on my abuse and trauma experience to write HUNTED–AND my hope, healing, compassion.

I'm hosting a BIG contest to help get the word out about HUNTED! First, there's a contest going on ALL day on Twitter (Dec 20th). HUNTED is finally available! It started shipping Dec 15th. It's a book I care a lot about; I put a lot of my heart into it. If you like dystopian, paranormal fantasy, or a gripping read, I hope you'll check it out.

This book makes a fantastic gift for cat lovers–Cat Secrets by Jeff Czekej. I bought it for my cat lover friend & she LOVED it. Good picture books are great gifts for adults as well as children.

You can still listen in here. The hosts, Lisa and Nancy, were wonderful, as was their guest host Michael Ely. I had such fun talking with them about HUNTED–they're so friendly and encouraging, and they loved HUNTED! And I enjoyed talking about what I was trying to show in HUNTED, oppression, using the word "queer", paranormal powers, and more.

My own Christmas book tree

I LOVE what GalleyCat has done, getting people to create their own Christmas book trees, then take a photo and send it in. GalleyCat has created a montage of them.

Since Christmas has always been a hard time for me (it was an increased abuse time when I was growing up), and I'm trying to reclaim Christmas and enjoy it now–including creating book-related Christmas celebrations–AND since HUNTED releases today, this felt like a perfect tie-in for me. So I created my own tree made up of many of my favorite picture books, and then my own books on the top, with HUNTED at the very top. It felt good to create! I hope you'll enjoy the photos.

HUNTED releases today!! (beaming and beaming) And it's shipping out to stores today (which means it'll arrive in a few days–likely Tues or Wed). I'm so excited to have HUNTED reach people!
