Tomorrow needs me because my books offer hope; #LGBTQ, survivor, and mental health visibility; and help save lives.
Tomorrow needs me because my books offer hope; #LGBTQ, survivor, and mental health visibility; and help save lives. Because I have a voice that no one else has. And so do you.
Why does tomorrow need you? Because it does.

Using Young Adult Novels to Make Sense of #MeToo.
Using Young Adult Novels to Make Sense of #MeToo. Great article in #NYTimes. goo.gl/ZbRYzS
Featuring #YAlit writers Laurie Halse Anderson, Kami Garcia, and Amy Reed. Thank you for speaking out & writing important books.
And thank you #librarians and #teachers for sharing them. We need you all.
I wish I’d had books like these as a teen. (Which is why I write what I do.) I’m so glad I have these books to read now! .

I’ve just started using the Alive app by eVerbum and I am loving it.
I’ve just started using the Alive app by eVerbum and I am loving it. It’s such a positive, encouraging, healing app that could be very helpful for those of us who deal with depression, anxiety, self-harm, and other mental health issues.
It is easy and even fun to use, you can skip things that you don’t want to do, and it’s also enlightening and/or has fantastic reminders of ways to shift your mood or help you use positive coping skills more. I also like the tiny tidbits of scientific reasons to follow some of the tasks or behaviours.
It has many tasks, programs, mini articles, and more to help boost your happiness, including some concrete suggestions like listening to a happy song that you love, smelling a favorite smell, connecting with others, etc.
It’s free, though if you want to get rid of ads you either have to pay for it, or use coins you earn by using the app to temporarily get rid of ads. I highly recommend it!
It is only available on Android. If you have an iphone, try Happify. (Happify is also available on Android.)
