Great human of the week:
The Fresno Schools superintendent who not only gave up his 800k salary for the next three years since he doesn't need any more money, who then said he'd give the salary he legally has to take to charity:

Now, if only we can get him to donate to our READGlobal www.BookstoBhutan.com efforts to build a library….

From an Australian magazine called The Conversation, all about the growing movement to mimic Bhutan's commitment to Gross National Happiness over economic development.
#ElPaso, #Bhutan aka @UTEP and new Bhutanese style footbridge
How do you get to the Sun Bowl? You can practice, practice, practice….or stroll over this $2 million dollar new Bhutanese-style pedestrian walkway that just opened on the campus of UTEP in El Paso.
Curiously the news reports don't mention that the footbridge is built (as is the rest of the campus) to mimic Bhutanese architecture.) But thankfully, Willie Quinn clued me in.Willie asks: Anyone know how to say "footbridge" in Dzongkha?
