How I would begin the JUSTIC LEAGUE movie

How I would begin the Justice League movie:
SCENE ONE: Clark Ken'ts grave.
Alive after all, Superman bursts out of the ground.
SUPERMAN: Great Scott! Why was I so cold and detached before? Wait, I remember! Curse you, red kryptonite!

Please support my friend Rick Wilber

The part of the news story I’ve linked to that particularly concerns me is the part that involves Rick Wilber. Rick is a fine teacher and SF writer and a friend to all of us in Florida fandom.

My interpretation of the story is that Rick reported misconduct on the part of the director of the communications school, that person was then suspended, but Rick has been fired for being a whistleblower.

This kind of retaliation for making waves is unacceptable in the private sector. It’s even more heinous at a public university supposedly dedicated to the public good.

If you would like to protest what’s happening to Rick, email Associate Dean Elizabeth Bell at ebell@usf.edu She’s the one who wrote the letter of dismissal. If you’ve ever donated money to USF, you may want to include that information.
