Anderbo Almost-Spring NYC Reading Monday, March 18th
The Almost-Spring 2013 http://anderbo.com/ Reading will be on Monday, March 18th, at Rouge et Blanc Restaurant, 48 MacDougal Street in SoHo, NYC from 7:00-9:30 pm, free, doors opening at 6:30 or so.
The kitchen will be closed, but we'll bring in some good snacks, and make sure everyone who wants to experience good wine gets some.

Jasmine Dreame Wagner, Thomas Cregan and Lauren Waterman will read fiction; Jessica Smith, Peter Cole Friedman, Emmalea Russo, Kathleen Kraft, Christopher Cheney and Matthew Daddona will read poetry.

Jasmine Dreame Wagner is the author of two chapbooks: Rewilding, winner of the 2012 Ahsahta Press Chapbook Contest (Ahsahta Press, 2013); and Listening for Earthquakes, first runner-up for the 2011 Caketrain Chapbook Contest (Caketrain, 2012.) Her poems and short stories have appeared in American Letters & Commentary, Blackbird, Colorado Review, Indiana Review, NANO Fiction, New American Writing, Seattle Review, Verse, and in two anthologies: The Arcadia Project: North American Postmodern Pastoral (Ahsahta Press, 2012) and Lost and Found: Stories from New York (Mr. Beller's Neighborhood Books, 2009.) A graduate of Columbia University and the University of Montana, Jasmine has received grants and fellowships from the Foundation for Contemporary Arts, Hall Farm Center for Arts & Education, Kultuuritehas Polymer, Summer Literary Seminars - Kenya, and The Wassaic Project. She teaches creative writing at Western Connecticut State University.

Thomas Cregan is a sommelier, and the owner of the New York City restaurant Rouge et Blanc. His stories "Welcome to the Hamptons!" (2007) Yoga, He Thought" (2009) and "Mattress" (2011) are on anderbo.com, as is the opening to his novel-manuscript "My Garden", which won the 2009-2010 Anderbo Novel Contest.

Lauren Waterman is a Brooklyn-based writer whose fiction has appeared or is forthcoming in FiveChapters, Fourteen Hills, Anderbo, and MonkeyBicycle; her nonfiction has been featured in New York, Boston, and Vogue. She was recently fellow at the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts and the recipient of an Artists' Grant from the Vermont Studio Center, and she received her MFA from Sarah Lawrence College.

Jessica Smith grew up in Dunwoody, Georgia. She currently lives in Manhattan where she is an MFA Candidate in Poetry at the New School.

Peter Cole Friedman is a poet and artist based in New York City. His work has appeared or is forthcoming in CounterExample Poetics, Fur-Lined Ghettos, Petrichor Machine, The Newer York Press, and others. He is currently a contributing editor for Anderbo, and is one of 84 poets who will be participating in The Found Poetry Review's "Pulitzer Remix" project. His website is peter-cole.weebly.com

Emmalea Russo is a poet and visual artist. Recent work has appeared in Ambush Review, ILK, Otoliths, Yew Journal, and Wicked Alice. She received an MFA in Poetry at Vermont College. Two chapbooks, clearing (dancing girl press) and book of southern and water (Poor Claudia) are forthcoming in 2013. She lives in Brooklyn.

Kathleen Kraft received her MFA in Poetry from Sarah Lawrence College. Her work has been published in Anderbo, Gargoyle, The Madison Review and other journals. She is currently a writing mentor to high schools students with Girls Write Now in New York City. She lives in Jersey City where she teaches writing and creative movement.

Christopher Cheney’s poems have most recently appeared in Everyday Genius, Open City Magazine, and Washington Square Review. He lives in Brooklyn.

Matthew Daddona is the editor of the Tottenville Review and a member of the improvisational spoken word group Flashpoint. His most recent writings have appeared in BOMB, Joyland, The Southampton Review, Forklift, Ohio and Tuesday: An Art Project.
