Prince William Sound, Alaska by Lynn Lovegreen

Since a kayak trip in Prince William Sound was on my bucket list, it seemed fitting to post it on Romancing the Genres this month. This was first posted on my website at www.lynnlovegreen.com.Prince William Sound is my favorite place. The snow-capped mountains cascading into the ocean, the lush temperate rainforest, the glaciers--all of it adds up to beautiful scenery. Last week, I had the

its a marvelous world, I just can't seem to get out into it

I have to get to Pakistan.  Don't ask why, I have been watching Ms. Marvel. The writers have done what any good story should, made me fall in love with a family and their issues. And as I watched daughter, mother, grandmother and even great grandmother dealing with a multi-generational trauma, I was taken to the Indian sub continenet, and fell in love  there too.  I expected Ms.Marvel to be a

Oh the Places You'll Go, by Eleri Grace

After spending such an extended period of time foregoing travel (or limiting to outdoor locations that were within driving distance OR were necessary for whatever reason), I'm particularly grateful to feel free to travel more again. This spring I traveled to Washington, DC to visit my daughter during the Cherry Blossom Festival (a bucket list item). She's a student at George Washington University

Bitten by The Travel Bug!

By: Marcia King-Gamble  www.lovemarcia.comOne of my first jobs ever was that of an internationalflight attendant. It was the perfect job for a young single with no ties.  Back then, being a flight attendant was acoveted position, and came with some prestige. You had to be the best of thebest in many areas.  The airline thathired me required me to have a second language. Please don’t ask me

Travel: Exposure and Experience

TRAVEL DOESMORE THAN EXPOSE US TO NEW PLACES AND CULTURESBy DariLaRocheTravelingis experiencing. Full stop. Seeing new places and revisiting old favorites. Ithelps us rejuvenate our spirit, relieve our normal life stresses and anxieties, fill our creative well, and expand our cultural acceptance and awareness ofothers.Ishould caveat this by saying that I am a travel junkie. Chickens to Ice Caves

by Diana McCollumI have traveled to many different places inside our borders and out. This year our big trip will be the Mexican Riviera. Our grandson is getting married in Puerto Vallarta. I’ve never been to Mexico and we will be traveling with 37 family and friends of the bride and groom. We’ll be staying for a week. My daughter has booked a boat excursion to an outlying island for one day. Not

Air Pressure

By Robin WeaverThismonth’s topic threw me. What could I possibly write about “a trip” that wouldbe interesting to others? Perhaps I’ve looked at too many selfies of otherpeople’s vacations. Or perhaps having just filled my car, I don’t even want tothink about travel.Insteadof describing a particular trip, I’ve decided to convey some of my “tips”acquired during twenty years of business

Backcountry camping - my happy place

From the time the boys were walking, we've spent part of every summer camping and canoeing, first in a regular campground, what I call 'car camping', and then at remote campsites in the backcountry with everybody and everything loaded into our large canoe. When the kids were old enough, and strong enough, we graduated to two canoes for the paddle into the wilderness - one parent and one child in

Oh, the travels I've enjoyed by Paty Jager

This month on RTG is all about vacations. There were many years in my adult life when a vacation was packing up the tent, hooking up to the old boat we'd bought, and putting a cooler and the kids into the pick-up and away we'd go for a long weekend with friends for boating, knee-boarding, and camping. At the time it was exhausting but the kids loved it and so did my husband. Now that the kids are

Photo Bucket List Vacations by Paty Jager

These are places I would like to someday see or participate in:This first photo is of Australia. I have ogled over the photos author Susan Horsnell has posted on Facebook. I'd like to go see the sites that she has let us see through her photos. Ever since reading Nora Roberts trilogy, Born in Ice, Born in Fire, Born in Shame, the Concannon sisters trilogy set in Ireland, I've wanted to visit.
