My Muse was Kidnapped!

I'm not a winter fan. Which is odd since I live in the cold cold snowy Northern Michigan...This was what happen this past Thursday (Thanksgiving for me)....Snow...

but that didn't keep us away from the beach...oh no! We still played on the sand dunes....just dressed a little differently :-)

But what happens when the Christmas spirit becomes your muse?

The Art of the Holiday

by M. L. Buchman

Why are holiday stories such a freaking big hit? I occasionally ask myself that as a writer.

I've written whole series dedicated to holidays. These perennial sellers are popular again every single winter.

In e- book, print, and now audio!

And now that they're all in audio (one of this year's major achievements) they're doing even better.

So, what is it about the holidays

Amazing Low-FODMAP Pumpkin Pie by Sarah Raplee

I’m Sarah Raplee, author of Paranormal and Steampunk Romance Stories.

I’VE ALWAYS LOVED PUMPKIN PIE. It’s my favorite. But now that I’m on a Low FODMAP Diet, my pumpkin pie has to be dairy-free, wheat-free and soy-free. It doesn’t have to be pumpkin-free, but I can only indulge in one slice per day, so it must be AMAZING! I savor pumpkin pie one tiny bite at a time.

In my efforts to find

Old Meets New Holiday Reads

by Courtney Pierce

A sign of the times. There are  two extremes of
emotion driving my holiday reads this year. As a baby boomer, I like to brush the fur in the
opposite direction on present-day issues while I bask in traditions from the
past. Our ability to flex and bend, as well as be stalwart and righteous, are qualities unique to our generation. We’re sandwiched between the WWII work ethic

Love Under The Mistletoe

'Tis the season to be published,

fa la la la la, la la la la'

My awesome writing group (The Melbourne Romance Writers Guild) is bringing out a sexy Christmas-themed box set, just in time for your holiday reading.

This is my second box set contribution for this year and another fabulous experience. Because I'm such a procrastinator, and easily distracted from a difficult task, having a

Holiday Smiles & Laughter Guaranteed

By Linda Lovely

Holiday-themed novels and movies (of any genre) work best if
they avoid clichés and offer surprising twists. Robin Weaver, one of our fellow
Romancing the Genres bloggers, is a master at delivering holiday surprises—and
combining romance with humor. Her three Christmas novellas are the perfect
trifecta for lifting your spirits and making you smile after a tough day

Holiday Shopping Tips from a Former Shopgirl

By Cassandra O'Leary

It's Thanksgiving in the US, and while we don't celebrate it here in Australia, I'm going holiday-themed with a festive shopping related post. For those who don't already know, one of my former careers was as a retail shopgirl. I worked for around five years at one of Australia's largest department stores, staffing the perfume and makeup counters. I also worked casual

It's Not Christmas Without A Good Movie

Christmas has many family traditions, and one of my favourites is getting through all the hustle and bustle of the actual day, then blobbing on the couch with a good Christmas movie.

Of course there are always new Christmas movies and some of those are becoming favourites, but I'll always have a soft spot for the ones from my childhood. These weren't made especially for kids like they tend to be

A Christmas Gift by Sue Moorcroft

I
can’t tell you how much I enjoyed creating a performing arts college for A
Christmas Gift. Acting Instrumental is a rock school, kind of ‘Kids from
Fame’ yet it fits exactly into the current British educational scene. It
wouldn’t have occurred to me to join a vocational college like this when I was
a teen - but, oh, I wish I had had the talent and the opportunity! I play the
piano to a modest
