My Cosmo Radio Confession

Fine. So I listen to Cosmo Radio on Sirius.

Kathy at I’m A Reader not A Writer got me to admit it.

Cocktails with Patrick? Dr. Jenn? Riveting.

Being the Lit It Girl

I never knew how much I wanted to be the Lit It Girl, until it happened. Today. Which is pretty much the best honor ever.  Plus Liz & Lisa, the hotties behind Chick Lit Is Not Dead are crazy awesome. Their site oozes chic-appeal. Follow them. Everywhere.

my secret obsession with the stock market

On Bookin With Bingo the other day, I admitted my secret obsession with the stock market. I know, probably not a very popular thing to admit in today's political heat. But I've been a fan since I bought Ben & Jerry's in the late 70′s with my farm-hand wages. True, I swear.

Chick Lit Central and how I wish Shirley MacLaine could play Grandma Bramhall

Today I am so happy to be on Chick Lit Central. These women are so supportive and social media generous that I think I need to send them some jewelry. And they asked me some funny questions. Here is where I admit to a secret: I wish Shirley MacLaine could play Grandma Bramhall. If there were ever to be a Girl Unmoored movie, I'd insist. The head shake would take some training, but I know she could master it.

Writer Unboxed

Today I had the chance to post this on Writer Unboxed. This was a huge honor. I didn't know what to write, because, really, most of the contributors are well-seasoned authors or literary giants whose work everyone knows. And yesterday the site was named as one of the top 100 sites for Writers. That made things double-yikes. I got a stomach-ache. I wanted to tell my publicists that my fingers had been recently run over by something with wheels. But I chickened out. And then I divulged the one true thing I really believe you must do to finish that book.

Barnes & Noble Books made my day… plus one small little thing I’m only admitting to you

Don’t you just love it when you discover a brilliant new author? I was giddy with excitement after I read the irresistible novel, Girl Unmoored Barnes & Noble. This made me cry some happy tears all right… (but just between you and me, one of my daughters is old enough to date. It just made me feel too old to admit it).

I love being a debutante!

I was a debutante this weekend. Yip. Got all fancied up, slipped on some white gloves (because it was freezing here), and twirled my way through a list of super fun questions by the awesomely awesome chaperones at The Debutant Ball. These women give "debutante" a good name, that's for sure.

Need some eyes? Ladies Who Critique will match you up!

Every writer needs a set of eyes to gush (or delicately comment) over their work! If you are in need of new eyes, check out  Ladies Who Critique. They will match you up with a critique partner. Brilliant! They also ask hilarious questions. I had so much fun answering them, even though now everyone is going to hoard $2 bills!
