I’ll be honest – I barely remember writingThe Business of Pleasure because I was in a fog of bereavement and other stuff, so I’m always happily surprised at how popular it’s proved. I subbed my first short story in October 2008, and for the four years afterwards I wrote one a month, minimum – which amounts to a lot of shorts.
