For the past year or so, people from all over the world have been contributing their impossible dreams to hitRECord. Our worldwide community of artists has been rallying around those people and encouraging them to pursue those dreams. And now, we’ve made three different videos about three of these dreamers. This is the first one. It’s based on Scorch’s impossible dream of becoming a mom.
This “Impossible Dream" collaboration was inspired by a movie I’m in called “The Walk,” coming to theaters on September 30th. It’s a true story about Philippe Petit. His impossible dream was to hang a high wire between the two towers of the World Trade Center and walk across it. And, in 1974, with the help of his co-conspirators, he achieved this dream.
Philippe Petit couldn’t have fulfilled his dream all by himself, and as you’ll see in our three “Impossible Dream" short films, the support and encouragement of other people can help to make the impossible possible.
Thanks again

EVERYONE: RECord yourself on Green...

EVERYONE: RECord yourself on Green Screen (or against a White Wall) as an applauding Audience Member attending kate e howrad’s tap dance performance.
Here are a few things to keep in mind:
Filming on Green Screen is preferred, but you can shoot against a White Wall as well
Please wear dark clothing (your outfit doesn’t have to be a 1930’s-inspired costume, but it would be cool if you could wear headgear accessories like top hats, etc.)
Lighting the Green Screen or White Wall very well is quite important (no need to light yourself, as I’ll be creating silhouettes
Your performance should consist of a variety of applause. Please perform each bit of applause (like clapping, fist pumping, etc.) in cycles of 15 seconds. The more variety you shoot, the better. We’re looking for high energy takes, too (you can feel free to record audio if you’d like, but silent takes are fine, too.)
Please film two angles (one where your stool is slightly angled, the other where it is completely facing forward.)
You can hold a recording device in your hand if you’d like to for some of the applause takes. And if you do hold a recording device in your takes, please do some takes with your hands empty.==
*The deadline for this request is Friday, September 18th.
