Romantic Friday Writers: Bouquet
http://fridaynightwriters.blogspot.com/ This blog has a challenge for writers of romance/love stories to write 400 words on a theme each Friday. The theme this week is Bouquet. This is a scene from my WIP, Breath(e). Elizabeth has always been attracted to disabled men exclusively, but she decides that she ought to at least try dating an able-bodied [...]

Where Does Devoteeism Come From?
Short answer: no one knows. And yet, people have put out theories based on their assumptions about what we are like. There is almost no research in this area. There has been ONE case study, and people continue to refer to it as the explanation for devness. People love explanations. When something happens that is [...]

Is Your Man Book Cover Worthy?
I rewatched Romancing the Stone last weekend. It's a great movie for a romance writer! (Although I liked the sequel, Jewel of the Nile, better). A few weeks ago I talked about the Sarah Brown problem, where you preplan what you think the ideal man will be like and can't see a perfect match for [...]

Interview: Cheri Verset
Today's interview is with the author of the Nurse Tiffany series. This is a collection of three erotica stories featuring Jeff, a disabled young man, and his new caregiver Tiffany. They are intense and very graphic stories! Much more hard-core than what I write. I'm really glad that there are people to write all different [...]

Sorry, no Friday post!
I fell of the wagon with the Romantic Friday Writers posts! I'm working on a story that will have a scene that could work well for the lunch date theme, too. I was trying to get it done last night, but I just didn't get enough into it to provide a good sample. I knew [...]

Romantic Friday Writers: Heart Stopper
http://fridaynightwriters.blogspot.com/ This blog has a challenge for writers of romance/love stories to write 400 words on a theme each Friday. The theme this week is Heart Stopper. I'm delighted to be able to present this tid-bit today. It's a piece that I've had to cut from my current WIP. It's one of my darlings that I [...]

Design a Book Cover
I am participating in a fun cover designing contest at A Writer's Journey Go on over and take a look at all the fun covers and vote starting August 31st and ending September 7th. Back in the old days I had ClarisWorks on my Mac computer and I would spend hours manipulating clip art pictures, painstakingly cutting and [...]

In the works
Currently working on a sequel to (W)hole, which will have Elizabeth experiencing college: torn between being true to herself and respecting her mother's inability to deal with Elizabeth's true self.
In the spring I will have a paranormal (actually more like sci-fi) romance, Parallel Loves, about travel between parallel universes. It will be two love stories. One of them is inter-universe. The other is inter-ability and interracial.
Some short stories are developing for a second volume of Dev Dreams. The next volume will have longer stories that are deeper and go beyond just the love story.
