New review for The Kinshield Legacy

Blogger GraceKrispy wrote a wonderful review of my book on her blog Motherlode. I was a little scared when I got the email notice from Smashwords that a new review had been posted, but it bumped up the average stars to 4.8. What a nice way to start the week! I'm grateful to GraceKrispy for reading it (and so quickly, too) and thrilled that she enjoyed it so much!

Bios is next

I was right -- The Invasion was very good! I enjoyed the story and would recommend it to science fiction and/or horror fans.

I'm currently reading Bios, which I bought after reading the sample on my Kindle. Definitely got hooked with the sample.

But there are a couple Indie books in my to-read pile: A Dance of Cloaks and Flaming Dove. I hope to get to those soon, but my WIP, The Venom of Vipers, whispers to me constantly these days.

The Invasion

Once I finished 33 A.D., I had planned to read a book by Greg Keyes that I've had in my To Read collection for quite some time. Then my brother told me that a book I'd suggested for him, The Invasion by William Meikle, was really good. So I bought it and started reading it... and he's right! I'm about half-way done, and already I can tell this is a good one. I'll definitely recommend it to other horror readers. Once I finish, I'll jot a short review.

Switching it up

There are far too many books to read and not enough hours in my life to read them all. In the past, I've tended to go with the Known authors: the Lois McMaster Bujolds, the James Pattersons, the Dean Koontzes. I've decided that I'm going to read a new Indie author every other book. Currently I'm reading a Lois McMaster Bujold novel. Next up... 33 A.D. by David McAfee. I urge other readers to support Indie authors by stepping out of their comfort zone and trying someone new!
