What she finds there is even more fascinating than the place name, and to her delight, a very attractive man lives there. Too bad he’s furious with her for taking a photograph. Why isthat? What will Jeanie find when she checks the picture out at home later? A love story, graphic sex scenes and a twist of fantasy suspense, 18+

Read an excerpt: 18+ rated
They fell into each other’s arms. Nathan pulled her close and kissed her softly. Jeanie responded to him. She pressed against him with such passion it filled him with a longing he’d not experienced for many years. He drew back from her and rested his forehead against hers. They breathed against each other for a moment before Nathan kissed her again. Down her neck, across her throat, up to her ear, where he lingered and whispered, “You’re so lovely.”She pushed closer and he cupped her bottom, pulling her in so that she could feel his cock hard against her. It felt so good to press against her, that he lost himself in kissing her. He nibbled her bottom lip. At her gasp of desire, his stomach clenched and his cock jerked. He slid his tongue against hers and kissed her until he couldn’t breathe. Her body felt so right against his, and he savored the taste of her lips, the softness of her ass in his hands. His heart pounded and although he hadn’t set out to, he wanted it all to be real. He thrust against her, ramming her back against her car. She clung to him, murmuring low sounds of pleasure. His cock was so hard he thought he might come right then when she smoothed her hands down the back of his thighs, leaving a trail of heat through his jeans.

Enchanted Times Blog Hop
November 3 – 10This November Hop we will be giving away a GRAND PRIZE of $200 for the “Enchanted Times” blog hop. Please visit the other hops for more chances to win. Please enjoy this excerpt from my enchanting fantasy novel,  The Wizard's Heart

Standing in the makeshift shower, peace descended in a comfortable blanket. Nighttime birds sang and whistled to each other, a frog croaked bass, and the crickets formed the string section. Conceivably, Cryant lived far enough away from the city for the emotions of those in the city not to carry into his compound, to reduce the overflow from battering at her shell.
Sorann let down her guard, expecting a deluge of energies to cause her to feel dirty again. A dog barked and went silent. The pig grunted in its pen, perhaps upset at having its mud rearranged. But no feelings invaded her. In her palace rooms, a shield stayed in place to protect her from the invasion. Could the same be true of Cryant’s canvas?

Dim moonlight spilled in when she pushed the flap aside. She stepped outside marveling at the emotional vacuum she found herself in. Silly to think Cryant could afford the spell needed to empower a canvas to keep out the extended aura of others.

The sky above her wore a sprinkling of bright stars on an inky background. The cool night air caressed her skin. Goose flesh rose over her entire body. The hard ground under her feet felt warm with leftover heat from the day. The stones she stood on glowed in the faint luminosity of the yard light, wet here and there, the water from the shower ran in twin streams on each side of the stone path.

The clarity of her mind extended beyond her in the absence of others emotions and feelings. The world came to her in clear brightness--a veil of gauze lifted. She ran her hands over her stomach, her own skin felt different. The bumps caused by the cold felt alien and as she ran her hands over them, she could feel the tiny hairs on her skin, a chill shook her. She hadn’t even realized a barrier existed between her own hands and her flesh before.

Animal smells came to her, the scent of the soap was even stronger. Why did everything feel magnified? Perhaps subdued?

A result of the shell she kept in place? She’d lowered the shell before, and it wasn’t like this--not even in her rooms with their encasing spell. She spun around holding her arms out in the moonlight. She caressed her own arms, enjoying the feel of the gooseflesh on them. She laughed at the feel of the mud between her toes. She stepped off the path and took slow steps with her toes spread, so the mud curled as it squished between her toes. More laughter escaped her. Her hands traveled to her breasts, her nipples went hard in the cool breeze--had that ever happened to her before? Perhaps she hadn’t felt it?

“Sorann, you dressed?”

With a gasp, Sorann scrambled into Cryant’s robe. It stuck to her wet shoulders; luckily, it was over large for her. With quick movements, she wrapped her hair in the towel.

“Yes,” she called back. “I just need to re-rinse my feet. I . . . I accidently stepped off the path.”

“I’ve got soup on.” Cryant stood holding up the door flap. “Stay on the path.”

She quickly rinsed her feet in a clear puddle that remained on the platform under the barrel--the water mixed with mud creating patterns as it ran off her feet. Still puzzled, but prepared for the onslaught of Cryant’s life, she moved to the slice of light coming from Cryant’s doorway.

Oct. BTS Magazine

October BTS Book Reviews Magazine Featured Author

Join us and explore the October issue of BTS Book Reviews magazine. Our featured cover author is Victoria Danann and here is a little taste of her feature. See full feature at: BTS eMag.
Question: Share with us a little about your current release and your next release.
Victoria:  Gathering Storm, is the fifth installment in my serial saga just released September 19. This series is a little different from what readers are used to because it’s an ongoing story – not in the sense of cliffhanging endings. Each book does tell its own story complete with ending, but the next begins where the last ended. That’s why each book comes with a strong recommendation for reading in order.

The first four books were loosely based on themes of fairy tales or beloved stories, i.e., Alice in WonderlandSnow WhiteThe Pied Piper, and Little Red Riding Hood. These tales are situated against a backdrop of modern day knights and heroes, witches, elves, berserkers, psychics, demons, vampires, werewolves, and more. While that may sound silly or juvenile, or both, I assure you the series is neither.

Please enjoy this excerpt:“‘Tissomething I have to do. I cannae explain my motives but ‘tis nae for somethingas petty as revenge, I promise ye.”
Shaking her head, she inched closer. “I donnae see why ye cannae explain. Ye used to tell me everything, remember?”   “Not everything.”
Hand thrust out, he pressed it to her shoulder in an attempt to hold her back. She could hardly think when she got closer but the heat of his body seemed to suck her in. They were speaking in riddles. Dancing around one another. Both trying to understand what the other wanted. She’d intended to manipulate him. To bargain her freedom, yet somewhere along the line the past had caught up with her and the burning desire to understand what had happened all those years ago snared her.
And then another kind of desire swept her up.
Alana curled her fingers around his wrist and drew his hand away from her shoulder. She glanced down at his arm and paused. Bringing her other hand up, she gently rolled up his sleeve, fingertips skimming over his skin.
“What did ye not tell me then?”
His throat worked as he swallowed and Morgann shook his head. “I’d hardly tell yenow.”
“Yeare a stubborn man, Morgann MacRae.” Her fingers settled on the scar on his arm, tracing the shape of it—a brand in the shape of a dagger tip. She winced as she considered the pain he must have felt.

My first train ride . . . .
My very first memory of taking a train was in late fall, as a child I spent a lot of time shipped off to one relative or the other.  Most times this involved a rather long bus ride.  This was in the 60’s mind you, these days putting a 5 year old on a bus by themselves might land you an appointment with CPS.  And I actually think that first time I wasn’t quite 5 yet.  Shipped off to stay with my aunt in Wisconsin, I spent a summer with her.  As fall crept in, it was time for me to head back home.
We drove to a small town where I assumed I would be boarding another bus.  Instead my aunt took me to the train stop.  As a small child that train seemed like some giant monster.  It was windy, cold and dark out.  And you had to step across this gap between the platform and the train.  The gap was illuminated from below by a light that shone from beneath the train.  As a child I had no idea where that light came from, as an adult, I know it was from car headlights on the other side of the train waiting for the train to leave.
This was the first time I had ever been on a train.  Small memories surface from that train trip, the flashes of color going by the window, the man who sat next to me—smoking, asking me where my mother was, where my father was, why I was on the train.  I told him my mother was not feeling well and she was in the bathroom. No one had told me what to say if someone asked why I was on the train alone.  When he didn’t go away I told him my mother was going to be mad if he didn’t get out of her seat.

Looking back, I don’t remember if he got out of the seat or not.  I remember clearly that the seat was a grey/blue, and the floor was dirty, and the toilet, it was open to the tracks below when you “flushed”.  And thetrees were in full color, racing by that train window.

Caoe Cursed

Critters at the Keyboard Welcomes Janice Lane Palko, Author of Cape Cursed.

Janice will be awarding a $25 gift certificate to the OBXstore to a randomly drawn commenter during the tour, and a paperback of her first novel, St. Anne's Day, to a randomly drawn host (US ONLY). Please leave a comment with your email for a chance to win, and be sure to enter the raffle copter giveaway!
Bliss Sherman doesn’t believe in curses—that is until she arrives at Cape Destiny, North Carolina.  Bliss comes to the cape determined to make a name for herself and her new firm by accomplishing an incredible engineering feat—moving the Cape Destiny Lighthouse inland before it's swallowed by the Atlantic Ocean.
Bliss, who has struggled with dyslexia, discrimination, and betrayal by her ex-husband and former business partner, Jonathan, faces her greatest challenge when she falls in love with the handsome, mysterious descendant of the lighthouse keepers, Parker Swain, who is vehemently opposed to the lighthouse’s move.
When someone targets Bliss, she begins to wonder if the curse that is rumored to be attached to the lighthouse may be true.  Who is sabotaging her dream?  Who is trying to harm her?  Who wants to kill her?  When all clues point to Parker, she dismisses her suspicions, deciding to trust him and her heart.  But as the evidence mounts against Parker, she begins to doubt not only herself and her heart, but also Parker.
Can she trust her judgment?  Can she trust Parker?   Most importantly, when she is trapped inside the lighthouse with him during a raging hurricane, can she trust Parker with her life?
A romantic suspense with all the seaside moody romance of du Maurier’s Rebecca and the spine-tingling thrills that keep you turning the pages, Cape Cursed casts a spell of sensous deception and seductive danger.  A Category 5 of a romantic suspense novel,Cape Cursed, barrels in packing a surge of suspense that knocks you off your feet and a blistering romance that sweeps you up and carries you away.

Bliss walked into the Beach Mart.  June, who was arranging cartons of cigarettes behind the counter, looked up when the bell on the door jangled.
“Hello, June.  How are you today?” Bliss said as she walked up to the counter.  “As you can see, I need something for this sunburn, and I came to pick up a prescription.
June shoved a carton of Marlboros into a vacant space and turned to Bliss.  “Well, if it isn’t the celebrity herself.  Fancy a star like you gracing the Beach Mart.”
Bliss chuckled.  “I like keeping in touch with the little people.”
June leaned over the counter and exclaimed.  “Did you know you were all over the news last night?  Why, my sister-in-law out inPhoenix even saw you on the national news!”
Bliss smiled, “Oh, I’m quite the media darling these days.”
June smiled knowingly.  “I hear tell it you’re not only their darling but somebody else’s as well.”
Bliss stared at her.  “What are you talking about?”
She looked up into the air.  “Oh, a little birdie told me that somebody didn’t come home last night.  Spent the night at the Keeper’s House with one Parker Swain.”
“How do you know that?” Bliss asked, astonished that not only was she the center of attention around here, but she was being spied on.
“Oh, some sissified fellow, with a split lip, came in here looking for some bandages and an ice pack.  Told me he got into a scrape this mornin’ with Parker Swain over a woman.  Josh Mooney, my cousin, is the night desk clerk at the Destiny Cove, and he said there was a frantic woman who called all night trying to get in touch with you.  She looked at Bliss with the satisfaction of Miss Marple after solving a case.  “Now, I wonder where you were last night?”
Bliss blushed, making her sunburn more vivid.  “Nothing happened.  It was completely innocent.  I passed out from the heat, and Parker found me.  He gave me water and dinner.  I fell asleep on his porch swing.”
