Myth, 79
~ The Trinity is Not Biblical ~
The Myth ~ Some say that since the word Trinity or the concept of the Triune God is not found in the Scriptures then it is not a reality. Some go so far as to say it a concept that the Church has created. This non-sensical use of language.
The Truth ~ The concept of the One True God having three distinct persons is found in many places throughout Scripture.
Scripture ~ The Trinity is found all through the Word of God. For brevity we will only look at the beginning – that is the Creation.
In Genesis 1:1, the first verse of the Bible: “In the beginning God created…” In the original language the word “God” is plural!
In Genesis 1:2 we read, “The Spirit of God” was there.
In Genesis 1:26 we read, “Let Us make man in Our own image according to Ourlikeness…”
In Psalm 33:4 we find, “By the Word of the Lord [Yahweh or Jehovah; God the Father] the heavens were made, and all the host of them by the breath of His mouth…”
In John 1:1 we read, “In the beginning was the Word [Jesus Christ] …
In Colossians 1:15-17 we find that the Son of God—Jesus Christ was key not only in creation but also the sustaining of the creation.
It is clear from Scripture that all three members of the Trinity were involved in creation!

Fear God, 203
~ Heaven Exults Over Those Who Fear God ~
God does not want His children living in fear. “Grace and peace be multiplied to youin the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue” (2 Peter 1:2-3). However, God does want His children to have a proper respect and reverence for Him. We are told in many places in Scripture to “fear God.”
This Week’s Passage ~ “After these things I heard a loud voice of a great multitude in heaven, saying, ‘Alleluia! Salvation and glory and honor and power belong to the Lord our God! For true and righteous are His judgments, because He has judged the great harlot who corrupted the earth with her fornication; and He has avenged on her the blood of His servants shed by her.’ Again they said, ‘Alleluia! Her smoke rises up forever and ever!’ And the twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshiped God who sat on the throne, saying, ‘Amen! Alleluia!’ Then a voice came from the throne, saying, ‘Praise our God, all you His servants and those who fear Him, both small and great!’” (Revelation 19:1-5).
Fearing God Results in Salvation ~ “It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God” (Hebrews 10:31). “A wise person fears and departs from evil, but a fool rages and is self-confident” (Proverbs 14:16). This does not mean the Christian is to live a fearful life—but a life which reverences God and seeks to do His will.
Fearing God Results in Fearlessness ~ “The Lordis my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lordis the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” (Psalm 27:1). The answer is: only God. With the gift of salvation comes responsibility.
Fearing God Results in Witnessing ~ “Come and hear, all you who fear God, and I will declare what He has done for my soul” (Psalm 66:16).

question: True or False? In the book of Genesis God parted the Red Sea to allow the Israelites to escape Pharaoh’s Egypt.
answer: False!
God did part the Red Sea of for a way of escape for the Israelites, but it was part of the Exodus recorded in the Book of Exodus (Exodus 14-15).

Bible Mystery, 17of17
~ The Mystery of Babylon The Great ~
Introduction ~ Do you love a good mystery? If so, then you should love reading the Bible. The Scriptures are full of good mysteries! An important factor to keep in mind when exploring Biblical mysteries is that the word mystery in Scripture has a root meaning of previously withheld. Biblical mysteries were previously unexplained—but now are revealed to God’s immediate family.
Scripture ~ “And on her forehead a name was written: MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. I saw the woman, drunk with the blood of the saints and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus. And when I saw her, I marveled with great amazement. But the angel said to me, ‘Why did you marvel? I will tell you the mystery of the woman and of the beast that carries her, which has the seven heads and the ten horns’” (Revelation 17:5-7).
Comment ~ Since this is a prophetic passage we need to be careful about dogmatic interpretations. One thing which I believe to be clear is that this mystery is related to a false church of Jesus Christ. When the true Church is raptured there will remain a false system of so-called Christian faith which remains on earth.
The Bottom Line ~ Will you study the Word of God and apply it to your life? Or will you waste your time on earth and the many opportunities which God gives to you. The mysteries of Scripture are revealed to the children of God who seek to please Him. As you comprehend the mysteries contained in the Word of God you will possess understanding and wisdom with regard to current world events. Time is short, if you are not already on God’s side, I urge you to climb on board before it is forever too late.

~ God Is My Refuge, 2 ~
Introduction ~ Previously from July 16, 2017 through January 6, 2019 ALN posted a series of 60 posts of “Jesus is…,” and now we look exclusively at who “God is…” from the Book of Psalms. While not a complete list these posts occur are in the same order they are in the Psalms.
Passage ~ “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, even though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; though its waters roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with its swelling” (Psalm 46:1-3).
Prior Passage ~ “In You, O Lord, I put my trust; let me never be ashamed; deliver me in Your righteousness. Bow down Your ear to me, deliver me speedily; be my rock of refuge, a fortress of defense to save me” (Psalm 31:1-2).

~ Seminaries Are As Dead As Cemeteries ~
Myth ~ Like in other organizations or professions there may be some situations where this is true. But it is certainly not the norm.
Truth ~ Good seminaries are where humble men and women of God are not only studying the God as presented in the Holy Bible but also seeking application of what they are learning.
Purpose ~ The goal is pass on to other faithful men and women the truth of God’s Word. A key part of this is training other men and women in the truths and applications contained in the Holy Bible.
Scripture ~ “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom: preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching” (2 Timothy 3:16-4:2).
